Romney/Ryan may regret fudging all the details of their plans.

Posted: Sep 7, 2012

President Clinton alone gave enough numbers and specifics to provide quotes for almost any discussion that comes up. Obviously there was more than just his famous verbosity behind his hitting every single point of the GOP promises and every single point of the Dems' during his long speech.

My big question is, when Governor Romney says he'll provide "lots of jobs," is he just keeping it and the rest of his plan simple for the unenquiring mind, or is he that determined not to reveal what's in that grocery bag he's clutching to his chest?

I take Romney's promise to provide "lots of jobs" over Obama's, because Romney has a track record to prove he's capable of doing it. Obama, not so much.

I Read That Romney/Ryan Will Not Give The Details...Aug 15, 2012

Huge Disagreement Between Ryan And RomneyOct 02, 2012

Kaiser Study: Romney/Ryan Privatized Medicare Would Cost 6 Out Of 10Oct 22, 2012
From U.S. News and World Report: "Nearly six in 10 Medicare recipients would pay higher premiums under a hypothetical privatized system along the lines of what Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has proposed, according to a study released Monday. The report by the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation also found striking regional differences that could lead to big premium hikes in some states and counties. That finding instantly made it ammunition in the presidential campaign. ...

Life Love Regret AngerJul 13, 2010
Almost 20 years ago I was in a serious relationship with a real "catch".  This guy is beautiful, physically and his heart too.  He was self-employed, had a huge house, a boat, was independently well to do.  We dated for a looonggg time, 8+ months.  He was great with my kids, he met my family, I met his and everything was great.  He talked marriage, love, houses, life together, adopting (a child together as I cannot have anymore), said all the right things all t ...

The Devil Is In The DetailsFeb 24, 2016
So the Pubs are all in a feeding frenzy over the thought that Biden agrees with them regarding not appointing a SC justice.   In the context of Biden's 1992 speech, it was made before Congress left on recess  in anticipation that there might be judges who would resign at the end of the term.  He was simply stating that the process would resume after the recess in a  HYPOTHETICAL (ie, what-if scenario) sense.   He went on to say: In the same remarks, Biden ad ...

Comission Gives More Details On Cutting The DeficitNov 11, 2010
I have a feeling these suggestions won't go very far....especially the gas tax. If it isn't the people against some of the cuts, it will definitely be the federal employees against a wage freeze. I think the Congress will also be against their pet earmarks.  In my opinion, I think the federal employees could and should allow a wage freeze. The rest of America had to swallow it, why shouldn't they? As for earmarks, I think only the frivolous ones, like the ones stu ...

New Years Eve PlansDec 31, 2011
Anyone have New Year's Eve plans or traditions?  I personally find New Year's Eve depressing, especially since the news people love to re-hash the tragedies of the past year.  We're staying home tonight and I got some movies to watch.  Tomorrow we go to my mother's for the traditional pork and sauerkraut dinner.  (I don't know if that's traditional everywhere, but it is in SE Pennsylvania.)     ...

He plans to veto earmarks (how can this happen-there is no line item veto), cut LIHEAP program, freeze federal employee wages for 2 years (didn't they already do that?), cut military spending as Gates wanted, will work with everyone to simplify the tax code, but it sounds like he doesn't want to change anything with SS. He wants to increase taxes for those earning over $200K. Then he wants to ...

Why Aren't We Discussing Other Plans?Sep 10, 2011
President Obama isn't the only one who has presented a jobs plan.  In “Believe in America: Mitt Romney’s Plan for Jobs and Economic Growth,” the candidate says that if elected, he would lower the corporate tax rate by 10 percentage points, points, to a top rate of 25 percent; eliminate taxes on capital gains, dividends, and interest for taxpayers earning under $200,000 a year; slash the federal workforce by 10 percent, by allowing Uncle Sam to hire a new employe ...

Candidates' Deficit Plans Don't Add UpOct 01, 2012
As the government closes the books Sunday with a $1.1 trillion deficit for the year, which required borrowing 32 cents for every dollar it spent, budget analysts have little confidence in either presidential candidate's plan to address the accumulating debt, now at about $16 trillion. The Republican nominee promises to balance the budget in eight years to 10 years, but he also offers a mix of budgetary contradictions: higher Pentagon spending, restoring cuts that Democrats made in Medicare ...

What is not more widely known is who is directly responsible for this halt. The MSM are hailing Judge James Robart’s temporary halt as a brave decision and a fight back against injustice. What the media are largely ignoring is that a judge only rules on a case, the case is brought by a plaintiff and the plaintiff is represented by a lawyer (or group of ...

Why None Of Those Budget Plans Make Any Difference At AllApr 08, 2011
We'll eventually get a budget put in there and you know what's going to happen? One or more of these: earthquake, volcanic erruption (Mt. None of our plans matter in the whole scheme of things. However, that bail-out of Texas makes me shake with anger. ...

Obama Gives Private Plans $6.7 In BonusesApr 21, 2011
