No Love/Rage for Ryan

Posted: Aug 17, 2012

So, Ryan says he's a fan of the music group "Rage against the machine." This in itself is really, really confusing given the content of their songs. The article is linked.

Exert -- "Don't mistake me, I clearly see that Ryan has a whole lotta "rage" in him: A rage against women, a rage against immigrants, a rage against workers, a rage against gays, a rage against the poor, a rage against the environment. Basically the only thing he's not raging against is the privileged elite he's groveling in front of for campaign contributions."

Oh my gosh, call in the calvary, Paul Ryan likes the music of a band. Oh pulllease. There are more important issues than what music Paul Ryan likes. Nobody but Paul Ryan knows what music he likes and honestly who cares. I actually happen to like the song Wake Up by Rage Against the Machine. The theme from The Matrix, which is basically what a lot of people in this country are living in.

If this is all the democrats can come up with it's so petty that Romney and Ryan are going to sweep the election.

As for choices of music there are a lot of factors that go into it. Everyone has different reasons why they like certain music. I'm a classical/symphony gal, but every once in awhile a country or hard rock music/lyrics will get me hooked. For someone to come out and say they know whether or not someone likes their music is just pretty lame and can bet you any money the guy in the band is a democrat.

Good choice Paul Ryan...like you more and more.

The Rage Is Not About Health Care Mar 29, 2010
By FRANK RICH Published: March 27, 2010 THERE were times when last Sunday’s great G.O.P. health care implosion threatened to bring the thrill back to reality television. On ABC’s “This Week,” a frothing and filibustering Karl Rove all but lost it in a debate with the Obama strategist David Plouffe. A few hours later, the perennially copper-faced Republican leader John Boehner revved up his “Hell no, you can’t!” incantation in the House chamber — ...

Video display destroyed with clerks diving to the floor and scrambling to save the merchandise.  Trampling in realtime, despite the death this caused 3 years ago.  20 consumers injured by a women who came equipped for armed combat.  I am left wondering how much of a role media hype played in this sad desperation and find myself at a loss when trying to understand it.   On the news station I am watching this morning, "hot items" and "dee ...

Tea Party Republicans Love Love Love Ted CruzOct 18, 2013
even among Republicans, according to a survey from Pew Research. But the group is still potent within the Republican Party — which means that Sen. Ted Cruz gets a bit of good news on an otherwise bleak day. "Tea Party" is a necessarily vague affiliation. There are members of Tea Party groups, of course, but Pew largely had to allow poll respondents to self identify. And a lot of Republicans did so. About four-in-ten (41%) Republicans and Republican leaners agree with the Tea Pa ...

One Of Paul Ryan's Best And Most May 27, 2011
quotes: Ryan gave strong advice to GOP presidential candidates: "If you want to be the president of the United States, you should put up ideas on how to solve this country's massive fiscal and economic problems. The current president isn't doing that. Our nominees should do that." This man gets it.  I don't care what party he is...he gets it. ...

Ryan: Rape Is Just Another Aug 27, 2012
In an interview with Josh Smith, WJHL-TV out of Richmond, VA, when asked where he stands on the question of legal abortions for rape and incest victims, Paul Ryan replied: "I'm very proud of my pro-life record, and I've always adopted the idea that, the position that the method of conception does'nt change the definition of life."   Lah-dee-dah.  Rape is just another legitimate method of conception.  This should erase any doubts on where he stands, and demolish an ...

Ryan's RestaurantsMar 08, 2016
Not sure where to post this but I don't think I'll be eating at any Ryan's Restaurant anywhere anymore.  The Ryan's in my city was closed without notice to their employees this past Sunday morning.  The employees worked Saturday, came to work on Sunday expending to work only to find a locked door and note saying the restaurant was closed.  Horrible way to treat employees. Fortunately for some of them, another local restaurant manager is willing and wanting ...

Also, Ryan wrote this: "Starting in 2022, new Medicare beneficiaries will be enrolled in the same kind of health care program that members of Congress enjoy." His op-ed about this was published in the WSJ. Sounds good to me! ...

Paul Ryan On Ayn RandAug 16, 2012
I have been hearing that Paul Ryan worships Ayn Rand saying the following:   "I just want to speak to you a little bit about Ayn Rand and what she meant to me in my life and [in] the fight we're engaged here in Congress. I grew up on Ayn Rand, that's what I tell people."   "I grew up reading Ayn Rand and it taught me quite a bit about who I am and what my value systems are, and what my beliefs are." Paul Ryan's Eyes -- Seriously....Mar 10, 2013
Am I the only one who thinks there is something seriously off about Paul Ryan's eyes?  Years ago, I read that when the whites of the eyes show below the irises, it's an indication of something--I can't remember quite what, but I think it was a negative thing.  That look has always given me a bit of a chill.  I believe some thyroid conditions cause a similar look, so maybe that's it.   ...

Paul Ryan - GOP Budget ProposalFeb 12, 2010
Cut Medicare and privatize Social Security. That's what the republicans presented. Let's hope we don't hear any more screaming about rationing health care under Obama, because that's what the republicans want, not the dems. I am amazed that they are not just sticking to NO. Whenever they come up with a proposal, it hits the fan. Like this tired attempt to do Medicare and Social Security in.  The good news is that there are a fair number of older people who are republi ...
