Do you ever have days where you are so tired you

Get you out of bed?? I mean seriously, deep down severe fatigue?? I am having a day like that today. I haven't felt like this in a long time. It used to happen more frequently, a few times a year. When my kids were younger I would lay in bed and think my kids would come home from school with me lying in bed and unable to get up. But eventually I would be able to rouse from my fatigue and walk to the kitchen and get a cold beverage. I think for me it is hormonal--i'm 38 and on Depo but I also have congenital heart disease and hypothyroidism.

Just curious if i'm the only one.

I have fibromyalgia, and I have had days like that.

Do you see a doc regularly? Your thyroid meds may need adjusting, and you definitely should be given a full-boost physical if you haven't had one recently. (It could be your hear or the thyroid, or something entirely unrelated.) Actually, since this is a "newish" symptom in recent times, get the physical, even if you've had one recently. And dont forget a hidden depression can show those symptoms, too.

It would definitely not be good if your kids find you in bed regularly when they come home from school.

I also have fibromyalgia and I feel completely drained (almost all the time). There is a commercial on TV about fibromyalgia (its for Lyrica I think), explaining how they used to be energetic, organized, etc. That is an accurate representation of my life. I used to shop for Christmas all year to find everyone the perfect gift, and I had everything wrapped by the beginning of September. I spent the next few months baking (a lot). Now, nothing. I don't even send out cards. Sometimes I am depressed because I just don't feel like myself anymore. I'm tired all the time. I'm on medication for it, and it does help.

The above poster is correct, you should have your thyroid checked. Have your blood work done and check for vitamin D deficiency also, mine was extremely low (4.35). Vitamin D deficiency also causes the symptoms you describe. I'm on 50,000 three times a week and my D level is now up to 21, and I am felling a little better. OP, go see your doctor, it is treatable. I agree with the other posters recommending a physical exam. You need to make sure isn't caused by your heart disease. It could also be caused by a medication you are on. If the fatigue gets extreme at times you may want to keep track of when you eat in relation to the fatigue in case it could be low blood sugar. The not wanting to get out of bed sounds like depression may play a role. You may need an antidepressant temporarily. I know depression can feel normal when you have had it for a long time. If you are already on an antidepressant, you may need an increased dose or a change in medication.

I do not need any information about walking, exercising, know that but have some health issues that prevent a lot of that. Now let's get to the fat issue. Hello, I am having some health issues with my gallbladder, or so it seems. I don't have health insurance as it is not offered through my job. I can't afford to have anything done. I've always had an average amount of energy but lately I literally feel as if I am wading through water. I actually feel weighted down.
