I feel we are really close to the Rapture. I have found that Rapture Ready is a really good website to keep up on the world's events as we get closer to His Return. I just wonder what will happen next.

[ In Reply To ..]Actually, we are further along the path to Armageddon than you think. The church is the prophet that gives power to the Beast. Notice the heavy involvement of Christianity in politics, supporting the corruption of the world. The Antichrist is not a person but a religious/political/economic system. It is here now. We have seen signs that match the events of Revelation.
No rapture--that doctrine is being used to deceive the Christians so they can manipulate their vote. Please note that Corrie Ten Boom taught against the rapture because of its bad fruit of not preparing the church for when they will be persecuted heavily. It lulls the saints into chasing after causes and not the Giver of Life.

[ In Reply To ..]I believe the antichrist is an actual person. Both the prophet Daniel and John in Revelation give the Antichrist human attributes and abilities: charming, man of sin, sets himself up against God, exalts himself above God, brokers a false peace with Israel.
These are characteristics that a machine or a system could not possess.
I also believe in a pre-trib rapture. I have heard the argument that the word "rapture" does not actually appear in scripture. However, in the original Greek translation of the New Testament the word "harpadzo" appeared in I Thessalonians 4:17 (the passage used to support the rapture doctrine). The word rapture comes from a Latin valgate translation of the word harpadzo. Some scholars have translated harpadzo as "caught up."
I believe that we will be raptured before the tribulation because first, God promised to deliver us in Revelations 3:10 and in I Thessalonians 5:9, we are told we are not appointed to wrath, but to salvation through Jesus Christ. Also, the church is absent in Revelations chapters 4 through 18. The church is mentioned at least 17 times in the first three chapters of Revelations, but in chapter 4 when John is called up into heaven and he looks down on the events of the tribulation, the church is never mentioned and is not mentioned again until chapter 19 when we return to earth with the Bridegroom.
So those three facts solidify my belief in the rapture. I feel it's pretty clear. I choose to take the promises God has given us through His Word in the most literal sense and when scripture says God says we are not appointed to wrath and promises to deliver us, then that is what He is going to do.

Self-proclaimed 'christians' don't wanna believe in the 'catching away' because they may actually have to examine themselves to make sure they're walking in righteousness. It's just too hard for some, I suppose. They don't wanna give up 'their' ways. Paul plainly said "I tell you a mystery..." There was no reason for him to mention this before because the Gentiles had not been grafted in. Once we had been grafted in, then God showed Paul.

In Noah's day, the elect went through the tribulation in an arc. The same will be true for Christians today. They are going through the tribulation and will be perfected through it all, prepared as a bride for their bridegroom. Note when the angel showed John the Lamb's wife, he showed him New Jerusalem. The New Jerusalem is us.
