I have recently started a group on a popular social media website regarding the Paleo diet as well as recipies if anyone might be interested. It is listed under Paleo Phanatics.

Not really sure what to tell you. It is an "open group," and unfortunately, if I try to do a "search," it will bring it up for me. Make sure you are spelling it right as it is Paleo Phanatic. HTH

I tried it. I clicked on Facebook. The part where it asks you about people you may know (or something like that), I typed in Paleo Phanatics. It took me to another screen but spelled it Paleo Food Fanatic. It's there.

it should be able to be located. When I did a search, it only wanted to search MY Groups (I have none) and nothing came up. I tried from the internet too, and it came up with the Paleo Diet, but nothing else. Are the settings for an open group or just for members. I did sort of understand that you can join if asked by a member, if that means anything.

I'm not really sure how this works as this is the first time I have set a "group" up on FB. I know in the past if I saw something that I was interested in, I sent a request and even though it was an open group, I still had to be "approved" by the one who was the administrator. If you wish to join, just send a request and I will approve you to become members of the group.

The other thing too, with it "not showing up" could be the fact that it is a relatively new group. I only started this a couple of days ago, so it has been relatively slow going, as I am adding recipies etc.

I've been generally slim my entire life. I'm in my early 50's now and into menopause. Recently, I put on a lot of weight all of a sudden. I developed a huge gut, and it was definitely fat, not bloat. Our dog weighs 108 pounds (black lab). She doesn't want to exercise. Won't play anymore. Just lays around. She weighed 96 pounds 2 years ago and at the vet this past winter, she put on the extra 12 pounds during the year. I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried the on line diet places where you purchase food, like NutriSystems, EDiets, etc., and actually lost weight.
