Jodi Arias verdict is in, to be read in hour

Just thought others would like to know.;
I am probably the only one who has no idea - what the trial is about.

I just change channels whenever something about it comes on. Glad it is coming to an end, tho!
I do not watch either but know others here do - P

I knew I just did not want to get caught up in another lengthy trial.
YES!!!! - Seeing her chin quivering

just served to make me smile inside. "no jury will convict me..." eat your words Jodi Arias. RIP Travis Alexander!!! death penalty or not as a penalty, justice has been served! Good job Juan Martinez!
Did anyone see the exclusive FOX interview with Jodi - Minutes after the verdict?

If anyone would like to watch it, it's apparently 45 minutes in length and FOX news is (of course) splitting it up into sections throughout the rest of today and tomorrow. Court also continues tomorrow with (I believe) the aggravation phase.
Anyway, here's the link to the FOX interview. VERY interesting stuff.
I'm kind of disappointed they gave her a platform. I didn't - watch the whole thing sm

but what I saw, her demeanor is more like she's auditioning for a reality show. That's what she wants. I wish they hadn't fed into her dream.
I'm against the death penalty, so I'm glad to hear that she would prefer that to life. I hope the give her life, no mirror, and no attention.
I saw it.... - I did not like the comment

she made to the Alexander family about now they can remember him any way THEY want to. Last dig into Travis, I would say. Many are saying that since she prefers the death penalty, give her life so she will suffer, but also stated they thought maybe it was "reverse psychology" on her part trying to guilt the panel into giving her what she actually wants. Who knows. Will be interesting to see where this leads.
I am with you and also thought reverse - psychology, absolutely because

she lied so much, how could she possibly be believed now that death would be better for her? I thought exactly that when I heard her remark about the longevity in her family. Why they would allow her to further trash the guy is beyond me, saying remember him like they want. Enough.
I was watching a prison show based in - Russia 1 night and

when found guilty and sentenced to death there are no years and years to sit and get more trials, nah, they shoot you in the head right then and there. To give someone life without the possibility of parole means you and I as the taxpayers have to pay for their upkeep for life. Does anyone realize right now what the cost of that is? Do others like doing this?
That might be so in Russia - but it surely isn't here

When someone is put on death row here, there are years and years of appeals ahead, and in the meantime, they/we are kept waiting, as well. Even though she SAYS she wants the death penalty, I am sure that her attorneys will go through the appeal process for her whether she wants it or not. As long as they are "working on the case," they get paid, and that is all that matters. Arizona has three women on death row right now, and the one that has been appealing the longest has been 12 years! It's not instantaneous death, and yes, the general public has to pay for that. To answer your other question about the cost, on one of the news programs after she was convicted, they stated that the cost of the death penalty alone was MUCH higher than actually having to house and feed an inmate for the rest of their lives. Have you heard anything about the cost of the trial alone, so far?? It was close to one million, the last I heard and that was before the verdict, even. Perhaps our government should look into the costs involved with the criminal sector, such as housing/feeding/providing niceties etc. Cable tv, exercise equipment, books and reading material, food... gee, some of the prisoners these days have it better than we do "out here." they get to eat and sleep for free while the rest of the country has to pay for it. The only thing bad about it is the gangs and pecking order, but you get the right people as your "friends" and that doesn't matter either. They all have it too nice. JMO

Zimmerman And Arias TrialsJul 06, 2013I am amazed at people who make bad decisions and lie. Why not bite the bullet, admit your mistake and pay for it.
Sad that people who have been given so much would allow themselves to get caught up ugliness, take another person's life and ruin their own.
Aggravated that they would lie to stay out of prison when that is exactly where they belong and neither show any remorse for what they have done. ...
Arias Trial Coming Back UpJul 07, 2013Has anyone followed Jodi Arias trial? First jury could not decide unanimously to give her death sentence (8 for death 4 against) so they are bringing a new jury in to decide just whether or not she deserves death or life in prison.
Any thoughts? Do you believe in the death sentence? ...

Getting Nervous About VerdictMay 06, 2013I hope the verdict comes in tomorrow for Jodi Arias. I was a bit anxious about it today. Hope we don't have the shocker we had with C.A. a few years back. I was watching Dr. Drew tonight, and Travis' best friend, Chris Hughes and his wife, Sky were on as guests again. They are such lovely people and always share some special memory they have of Travis. He (Travis) was loved by so many people. Keeping my fingers crossed for justice. ...

REGARDING THE CASEY ANTHONY VERDICTJul 11, 2011When I heard the verdict, like almost everyone else in the US I was floored. It made me question the whole trial by jury, the validity of the judicial system and whether or not a person will ever be held accountable for this crime. In a nutshell, it is sickening and disheartening. I also wondered why in the world the JUDGE didn't exercise his power to overturn the verdict 'cause if ever there was cause, it was this case.
Okay, I get it, move on... BUT, I haven& ...

Casey Anthony Case - How Long Before Verdict?Jul 01, 2011I'm biased because I despise both Baez and Casey Anthony but I say she will be found guilty within 48 hours of deliberation and given life imprisonment.
The defense case didn't even make sense and in the end they put George Anthony on trial - but for no known reason.
How about Cindy lying on the stand? I am starting to dislike her almost as much as Casey. Who wants a person who killed a helpless 2-year-old, her granddaughter, to be free? ...

Will There Be Violence Surrounding Casey Anthony Not Guilty Verdict? Jul 09, 2011I live no where near Florida but the local people here are outraged that this woman walks from a crime she obviously committed because of 12 jurors who didn't know what reasonable doubt was. This is the general consensus of talk radio people who were calling in to give their feelings on the case.
Juror 3 said she did not want to speculate but went on to speculate she thought George might have had something to do with it (?!?}. Guess speculation may h ...
I Am Praying For An Early Guilty Verdict For Casey AnthonyJul 05, 2011Watching verdict watch today, I just hope the jurors come back today to show Casey Anthony what they think of her and her shady attorney, Jose Baez, who maligned everyone connected with the prosecution case and was willing to accuse her father of incest in the most crude way during opening statements. Did Baez just take this third version of what happened to Caylee at face value from Casey, the psychopathic liar, and run with it, hoping to become rich and famous lawyer? What proo ...
HLN Is Tearing Apart Juror's Reasons For Casey Anthony Not Guilty VerdictJul 13, 2011Nor did they have the sliightest understanding of circumstantial evidence.
What is funny to me is when the jurors try to justify their decision, they end up hanging themselves with their lack of knowledge of the case and the rules of the case. Can't wait for next juror to speak up who contradicts or justifies decision based on misundertanding of rule clearly set out by Judge Perry.
Clearly these jurors were misguided to say the least and uneducated at best.
