I have 1 robin that plants herself on a beam on our porch. She has 2 nests. When the babies from the first nest leave, she goes to the second one. This has been going on for 3 years.
I was afraid something happened to momma on the porch because we didn't see her for 3 days and today I was going to call the wildlife rehab center to ask questions on what to do. She must have known that 'cause there she is today, feeding them again. That made me happy.
This year, we had another robin build a nest on the open door of the shed. There are 2 robins taking care of it. When the babies were first born, 1 robin would be sitting on them and the other would go for food. When the food robin came back, the other robin would leave and find food. This has been going on for quite a while. I've never seen this happen before. Has anyone else seen this before?
