Ho boy! Am I gonna open a hornet's nest here, but

Posted: May 13, 2013

I just gotta do it. Someone far below was accusing Republicans of fraud, ethnic violations, etc.

Well, I did a wee bit of research over the weekend on Democrats. Keep in mind that the following names include only the years from 2008-2012, except for Bill and Hillary Clinton.  These names include mayors and governors.

I did not put what investigations they underwent since this list is quite long.  If you have a favorite Democrat that you would wish to know the background, let me know. I do have the info. Laughing

There are all of these “leaders” who have their own ethics problems:

Marion Barry

Adolfo Carrion

Hillary Clinton

John Conyers

Tom Daschle

Chris Dodd
John Edwards

Rahm Emanuel

Terence Flynn

Barney Frank

Al Franken

Chas Freeman

Timothy Geithner

Eric Holder

Richard Holbrooke

Steny Hoyer

Jesse Jackson, Jr.

William Jefferson

Martha N. Johnson

Nancy Killefer

Ron Kirk

Sheila Jackson-Lee

Zoe Lofgren

William Lynn

James P. Moran

John Murtha

Ray Nagin

Bill Nelson

Leon Panetta

Nancy Pelosi

Franklin D. Raines

Charles Rangel

Ed Rendell

Bill Richardson

Laura Richardson

Jan Schakowsky

Kathy Sebelius

Ron Sims

Hilda Solis

Pete Stark

Pete Visclosky

know there is lots of corruption on our side as well. There is plenty to go around for everyone who makes it to DC.

See, now signing your moniker like you did just goes to show - Truthhurts

that you really don't want to try and get along. I have never called any Dem a pinko commie leftists. I have called them Demorats on occasion due to typos and too late to change (but I found it laughable).

I read a lot of political comments on other boards and a lot of Democrats or liberals, or whatever you wish to call them, have such a hatred for the other side and the language is so horrible, that's it's sickening. There are some Repubs that do the same but by far, it's the first group that are in the majority.

All I try to do on this board is discuss articles...but my popularity has increased in the past few weeks to now 3 "stalkers" instead of just 1 who don't read articles and discuss, just 'dislike'. That 1 stalker must get tired of hitting the dislike button every day. Whatever. LOL

And the "ho boy... hornet's nest" shows how much - sm

you truly REVEL in not getting along.

I really hate to disappoint you, but you didn't offend me. No hornet's nest here.

someone points it out then out comes (not saying you in particular, but other liberals on the board) the oh yeah, its on both sides lets just forget about it and talk about something else, you don't need to bring that up, I know lets talk about the corrupt republicans and when the attacks on the republicans come out the liberals act as though only republicans are corrupt. Nobody ever says there is corruptions with the democrats.

Awhile back a liberal poster was complaining to the moderator that they wanted a post removed. When someone pointed out that a liberal started it by saying the same thing, and why didn't you report them their response was "are you kidding me, why would I report a liberal saying it".

Another example. Posters here are making a point of talking about how rich Romney is, he's got so much money, blah, blah, blah. Yet now it comes out that Gore is richer than Romney and the silence on this board from the liberals is very chilling.

Another example. Liberals talking about republicans hiding their money in the Cayman Islands. It now has been found out through investigations that Obama, Clinton, and a lot of other democrats ALSO hide money in the Caymans and what do posters do here? Try to discredit the poster who posted about it. That article is too old (even though it's only a few months old) or that site is not credible, yet it's the same sites that they'll post if its against a republican. Liberal hypocrits.

In fact the hatred for anyone republican is so overwhelming. Truth be known I doubt one thing a republican did or didn't do never personally affected any poster here. Posters here are not just disagreeing with a policy, its goes beyond that. Deep dark hatred, and why? No reason for it. I don't agree with the politicies of the democrats but I just don't have that dark hatred for them that posters here have for anyone republican. Some posters even go so far as to claim they know for a fact that a democrat will be the next president. Not "I hope" or "I want", they've already claimed that the next election has already been won. Yet the truth is nobody knows who the next republican or democrat candidate will be.

never bring it up - Roseanne

[ In Reply To ..]
Pinko-commie already replied that it's a moot point, we know corruption abounds in both parties. I voted for a Democrat for the Missouri senate, I won't vote for her again. We really are capable of making our own decisions without continually being hit in the head with a lead balloon.

As far as the Cayman Islands post, it was just a passing thought, mostly regarding Rand Paul fighting offshore tax evasion. I saw that sm (I think) refuted me but, believe it or not, I don't live my life to post on MTStars and you have my sincerest apologies for not responding in a time frame that suited you. At any rate, if I can find the post again I will respond to sm personally.

You perception is your reality, so be it.
who said you have to respond within a time frame - I didn't
[ In Reply To ..]
Get your facts straight. I never asked you to respond to any posts within a certain time frame.

Don't know what post you are referring to with Rand Paul. Perhaps you are assuming I am sm. I am not.

Who cares if someone wrote it's a moot point. It's not. If she doesn't like anyone bringing it up and in her mind thinks its a moot point then she doesn't have to reply.

But no, it's not a moot point. It's an important point. you don't get to just oh well it goodbye because it's happening under democrats.

The discussion will continue whether or not you like it.

Next time you attribute something to me that I did not say at least have some proof to back up your claim.

See message. - sm

"Awhile back a liberal poster was complaining to the moderator that they wanted a post removed. When someone pointed out that a liberal started it by saying the same thing, and why didn't you report them their response was "are you kidding me, why would I report a liberal saying it"."

I don't believe this for a second. Do you have a link?

Regarding Gore and Romney, at least Al Gore never referred to the "47%" or tried to take anything AWAY from anyone.

THAT'S the problem with the extreme right-wing republicans. They cater to the rich and try to break the backs of the poor and the middle class.

As far as "that dark hatred," that started with right wing posters on here, and they gave liberals lots of excellent reasons to hate republicans, though I limit it to the people in Congress.

Wanna see some quotes from a republican that DID affect me personally from the guy who's about to receive an award for "defending freedom and democracy," Mr. Henry Kissinger.

"It is an act of insanity and national humiliation to have a law prohibiting the President from ordering assassination." (1975)

"The illegal we do immediately. The unconstitutional takes a little longer." (1975)

"I don't see why we need to stand by and watch a country go communist due to the irresponsibility of its people. The issues are much too important for the Chilean voters to be left to decide for themselves." (1973)

So much for FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY. And it continues and continues and continues as we prepare to bomb the whole darn planet!!

That's what the republicans stand for, and that's why I'm against them, only this time they're taking money from the most feeble, weak among us, and that's what makes me hate them when I hear their lies about being in favor of small business, etc.

Republicans that are no longer in office, too. Don't forget, some of these investigations are still ongoing even though they're out of office.

Am I to believe only one side is allowed to post old news, old investigations? If that's not the case, then I wish the other side would be apprised of that.

Once again - There was NO surplus
[ In Reply To ..]
Adore and worship him all you want. The fact remains there was no surplus no matter how much you wish there was. You don't steal from different accounts to put it in another and then tell "everyone golllleeeeee gee well shucks boys and girls I have a surplus. hardee hardee heee". The debt never went down while Clinton was in office. If the debt had gone down and he had honestly built up funds then yes there would be a surplus. Sorry, he just didn't have one.

Basic economics boys and girls.

I only kept the info of what they were investigated for,not the sources or else I would have had pages and pages of links. You can do a search and find that info easily like I did.

Whether it was intentional or not, she and her husband could not locate receipts for 3 charitable overs over $250 so she repaid the deduction she claimed. She and her husband “misunderstood” the home mortgage interest deduction laws and claimed the deduction even after she sold the home she had taken the mortgage out. She also couldn’t locate receipts for some business expenses she claimed. Her total liability was $7,040 plus $878 in interest.

Oh boy.
Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution provides as follows:

“The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors."
I contend that among those high crimes and misdemeanors is the intentional violation of the oath of office administered to the President and all other federal officials. In fact, federal law at 5 U.S.C. 7311 specifically provides that violation of the oath of office includes advocating the overthrowing of our constitutional form of government. This is specifically declared a criminal offense in 18 U.S.C. 1918 and is punishable by both a fine and imprisonment.

In the 12 areas I mentioned in the paragraphs above I firmly believe that Obama, Eric Holder, and numerous other members of his administration have gone beyond just advocating the overthrow of our constitutional form of government. They are actually engaged in making it happen, and as a result should be impeached and convicted. There are also the emerging issues of corruption such as the Solyndra scandal caused by Obama using stimulus money to pay off campaign contributors.
Will there be an impeachment and conviction in the current Congress? Probably not, since it takes a two thirds vote in the House of Representatives to impeach, and a two thirds vote in the Senate to convict. With Harry Reid and the progressives still in control of the Senate, and many of them guilty of some of the same impeachable offenses, they will resist it.
