Hmmm, could someone be worried? - another long nothing presser by Trump

[ In Reply To ..]
Don't worry, I'm sure his superior intellect and massive knowledge of govt and foreign affairs will see him through. Or doesn't anyone voting for him care about that? If not why not?

This jerk ain't even trying to pretend to know anything. He will delegate and offload. Dangerous.

Perhaps you should learn a bit more about what - a chief executive does.

[ In Reply To ..]
The CEO:

1. Sets policy, priorities, timelines and direction.
2. Marshals resources.
3. Puts the best people in key positions.
4. Seeks advice from experts both within and outside the organization.
5. Makes decisions and issues directives to second-tier executives to implement those decisions.
6. Monitors the organization's progress and takes corrective actions when needed.
7. Serves as chief representative of the organization to the outside world.

The CEO almost always:
1. Knows less about finance than his Chief Financial Officer.
2. Knows less about logistics, supply chain management, etc than his Chief Operations Officer.
3. Knows less law than the firm's Chief Legal Counsel.
4. Knows less about security than the firm's Chief Security Officer.
5. Knows less about engineering than the firm's head of engineering.

...but he knows and does his OWN job very well.

President is NOT a CEO - USA is NOT a business

[ In Reply To ..]
A little more is required, I'm afraid.

Mark Cuban thinks Trump is a really bad CEO and also believes he is lying about his "tremendous" wealth.

He is a complete and total idiot. I cannot see why anyone would vote for him.
Mark Cuban and you are experts on Trump? - An opinion is worth what one pays for it. ZERO
[ In Reply To ..]
Mark Cuban "thinks" and any idiot who believes everything someone "thinks" without documentation to back up their thinking isn't the brightest bulb.

People "believe" what suits their "agenda." End of story.

Well, that's very odd. Cuban expressed his willingness to be - Trump's VP.
[ In Reply To ..]
He didn't think there was much chance of that happening, but was open to the idea.

Follow the link below.
Actually, the analogy is very apt - and explains - Obama's crashing failure.
[ In Reply To ..]
When you say "a little more is required" you betray your ignorance of the complexities of each of the duties that I listed, which are described broadly. To you, they're mere sentences on the page with no appreciation whatsoever of what each of those broad descriptions represents.

Some are so blinded by hate, logic fails them - and once open mind is locked
[ In Reply To ..]
There are none so blind as those who will not see. No sense in using logic against an apparent closed mind.

That's why you see good executives in one industry make - good executives in another industry.

[ In Reply To ..]
Alan Mulally is a good example, going from an aircraft company (Boeing) to an automotive company (Ford) and turning that company around. There are many other examples.

Very often, "outsider" CEOs are brought in as change agents because the organization is faltering and needs a fresh vision.

I think there's a parallel here somewhere.

I beg your pardon, a country - is simply NOT an industry
[ In Reply To ..]
Having business experience I can see is helpful, but not even trying to brush up on anything at all? That's just plain lazy. If he is so smart as he thinks he is, does he not realize how bad that looks? Shouldn't it be so easy for him to pick up a few pointers? He sounds like Sarah Palin when asked about anything, and believe me that's not good.

He claims he will have all these advisors, but has one decent one stepped up to the plate?

No, crazy evangelicals and loser tea party politicians is all, not anyone with real military experience or governing experience. If you are voting for him as a CEO I have to think you will be disappointed.

Better yet, he should NOT be allowed to run as a CEO, this is America, not freaking McDonald's.
He started off by resisting the "identity politics" temptation - in selecting Pence.
[ In Reply To ..]
I think a lot of Republicans were at first dismayed that Trump didn't go with an "identity" candidate (woman, Hispanic or whatever) - and that includes me, I'm embarrassed to admit.

I had to dig into this Pence thing pretty hard to understand why he was chosen, and having done so, I have to grudgingly admit, it was brilliant.

That's what Trump do.
Some want Trump to pander like Hillary.. - fortunately that's not the game Trump plays
[ In Reply To ..]
He is secure enough not to need to pander and realizes groveling and lying will destroy his brand which has him so far ahead in the polls and got him the nomination for Republican president. He has beat out the pandering politicians so I am quite sure Trump knows exactly what he is doing at all times, even if he does not share it with the general public during a campaign.

I guess some people don't recognize pandering when they see it or maybe they just need some establishment elite pandering in order to get their vote.
Oh REALLY? Like they've done in the MT industry? - nm

.

Pretty sure that's what the CEO is supposed to do. - NM

I worked for a large company and the CEO - hired SPECIALISTS in each field

[ In Reply To ..]
That is what a CEO does. He relies on the expertise of a team of specialists just like a hospital CEO does for instance.

How foolish to believe that one person knows everything about every aspect of a business.
Again, Trump is running for PRESIDENT - Not CEO
[ In Reply To ..]
He is the MOST unqualified person EVER to run for president. If he wants to run for CEO, well, he already is CEO. You cannot be a CEO of a country, unless you are a dictator. I guess that's what he wants?
A CEO is exactly who runs a democracy. - They appoint ADVISORS
[ In Reply To ..]
The advisors/specialists keep the president informed. Do you actually think Obama knows every aspect of what it takes to run a country?

As I mentioned before, people "believe" what they need to in order to advance their agenda of hate.
If that CEO doesn't know what he or she is - doing, they often hire the wrong advisors.
[ In Reply To ..]
Not holding my breath that Trump will get that right, either.
Given Trump's success and status, I would suspect - he will hire the right advisors.
[ In Reply To ..]
I am quite sure Trump has a lot of experience hiring advisors and experts to help his projects around the world that has allowed him to achieve his billionaire status. He is not running each and every aspect of each and every enterprise and endeavor he has created.
The problem is nobody wants - to work with him
[ In Reply To ..]
No one of any worth even endorsed him in his own party.

Maybe offering millions of dollars to people to "help his projects" would attract the best people no matter how much of a jerk Trumpie is, but in the business of govt your reputation is important and you are not going to get offered big bucks compared to the private sector.

In fact, one has to wonder how Trumpie will manage on a measly $400,000, less than he made on The Apprentice I imagine.

Poor Trumpie, what a sacrifice! Or will he just get kickbacks from the 1% once he gives them a big tax break?
Opinion piece here - no facts at all - Sounds so like sour grapes ;)
[ In Reply To ..]
x
Do Repubs ever use words other than buzzwords - they hear on the Rush Limbaugh show?
[ In Reply To ..]
It's always the same old stuff:

"Sour grapes"
"Feckless"
"Ilk"
"Chillary"
"Burnout"
"Sources please"
"Failure"
"Inept"
"Cool Aid"

and yada yada yada to the 10th power...
I am a default Republican since Hillary is running for prez - I have never heard Rush show
[ In Reply To ..]
I think you are trying to divert conversation from Democratic corruption by pointing to an obscure Rush show.
The Dems are corrupt, too. But at least their - vocabulary is a lot more diverse.
[ In Reply To ..]

You are rambling soundbites from mainstream media - A lot of people endorsed Trump, just not the jealo
[ In Reply To ..]
And a lot of people voted for him instead of the jealous losers who were establishment crooked career politicians.
Executive branch of United States - all smiles
[ In Reply To ..]
The President of the United States is the chief executive of the executive branch of the United States.

The executive branch has specific duties outlined in the constitution and some in the bills put through by congress.

There is a whole lot more restrictions and a lot more duties than being CEO of a company.

As well, the President has to know what the other 2 branches can do and cannot do.

Running a country is quite a bit different than running a company.

Trump has some good points. However, his biggest problem is his profound lack of basic knowledge that is absolutely required to govern. His knowledge of our treaties and relationships with other countries is so woefully lacking that I am concerned other countries will simply refuse to deal with him. They might just wait 4 years to see if somebody better comes along.
Nope, you're quite wrong. It was Obama who didn't grasp - the difference between CEO and dictator.
[ In Reply To ..]
I can go through the analogy between a corporate CEO and the US President for you step by step if you really need me to do so.

Sounds like a perfect description of Obama - We all see the destruction

[ In Reply To ..]
Obama caused around the world, because of lack of intellect and lack of knowledge regarding govt and foreign affairs - yep WEL ALL SEE RIGHT THROUGH THE DEMS AND THEIR SPIN. ;)

Of course, everything bad in the world is Obama's fault. - surprise, surprise! nm

[ In Reply To ..]
.
Not everything bad but I'll give him 50% bad - for inept leadership
[ In Reply To ..]
And failure to protect American interests.
Sure is - Taking a page from Obama playbook - Obama, for 8 years, blamed everything on Bush
[ In Reply To ..]
On top of which, Obama so inept, such a poor leader - obama recipe for disaster.
That disaster you are worrying about better hurry up and come. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
He only has a few more months in office and time is running short. LOL!
Clearly, you are not in the USA or maybe part of the DNA plants - t DNA bragged about
[ In Reply To ..]
Otherwise, you would be knowledgeable regarding USA politics and the complete ineptness, unqualified mess that is Obama. Guess the DNA is offshoring their work, too.
