they are requiring photo ID to get into their convention. Some very good tweets in response to this at Twitchy. I loved the one pointing out the fact that the state IDs are free and that the people Dems argued would be shut out of voting still would need the very same public transportion or whatever to get the ID for the convention!
Oh, and there will be a zone around the convention hall requiring those living within the zone to have a picture ID to get to their homes! Idiot hypocrits.
At least that will keep out anybody who might possibly POSE as a Dem and do something like..oh I don't know....throw peanuts at a black camerawoman, make a derogatory remark and call the Dems racists because SURELY it could only be a party member in the convention auditorium as all others would have been screened out. Too bad the Pubs didn't think about screening out the wolves in sheep's clothing.

Voting is not a ticket sales/by-invitation-only event, unlike - RNC and DNC conventions.

There is nothing in the constitution that guarantees unimpeded entrance to political conventions. You do get the difference, don't you?

The most sacred constitutional right we have, voting, should be treated with the utmost respect and responsbility to prove you are exactly who you say you are. Period, end of story. If you have a problem with showing photo ID for cough medicine, but not voting, them YOU have a serious problem.

I live in a rural state and I have always had to show my ID (even though those working at the polling place know me personally) to vote. Everyone that I know has some sort of ID, either a driver's license, a birth certificate, a social security card, etc. My state does not require a photo ID, although I am aware that some states do require that.
