The mayor and the democrats were hoping to stall so they could get new union contracts signed before the bill was passed. The plan backfired because the bill got published before the contracts could be signed and then the democrats were on the run. I hope the mayor joins those democrats in jail, as it just seems the WI senate passed a bill holding those democrats in contempt.

Doesn't anybody care that they have also abandoned any other legislation in the state? doesn't anybody care that they are effectively fugitives? If I walked out on my job the way they did I would be fired, as they should. I don't get how anybody can support running away from the tasks at hand. stay and fight it but don't run from your responsibility.

They will not be arrested. It is not a crime to go against Governor Scott Walker's wishes and leave the state and refuse to vote on a disastrous bill.

When things don't go their way run away like children. We elected them to fill their seats and to vote on important issues.

They are acting like spoiled little children who are having a temper tantrum because they lost the election and now they are going to take it out on who? Them? (no they still get their paid vacation) Us! That's who they are taking it out on.

They are AWOL from their place of duty. If I took off from my job like they did I'd be fired.

They should be arrested AND fired. Let us have another election so we can elect some people who will work for us and do their job we elect them to do. And who won't go running off like spoiled brats when the going gets tough.

Arrest the lot of them (for being AWOL). Then fire all of them as they have proven themselves to be incompetent and cannot do their job.

And the state should fine them for the time they've been gone.

GOP signed orders for the Dems arrest. That is so great. I hope they follow through. It's ridiculous they've been gone so long - I think they're doing more of a disservice to their people by leaving than staying.
