I saw reporting yesterday that said everyone in the intelligence community knows that unmasking requests are thoroughly documented. The report also said Comey was slow walking the requests from Congress regarding that documentation. This may mean that all the bluster you see from Republicans in Congress right now about Comey getting fired is just a smokescreen. They want to be on the record as fair-minded individuals, opposing Trump, fully supporting the Russia investigation (knowing nothing is there). Then when the unmasking stuff comes out they'll be able to pounce on all the Obama people without the media calling them partisan. Clapper testified that there were almost 2000 unmasking requests made in 2016. They know something is there. ;

If you think firing Comey will stop anything regarding the Russians, Comey was only a figure-head and I heard 400 Plus agents were working on the investigation.

The FBI has contradicted the White House claim that Comey had lost their confidence.

Also, the FBI has raided a Republican fundraising firm near DC and more warrants in regards to Trump/Russia to come.

I also saw the news yesterday on CNN that they'd subpoenaed (sp?) documents from Flynn's business associates. Personally, I think that will be a dead end just like Manafort was, but it sure is fun to watch. :)

If there was collusion (or even if a crime was committed) I'm still unsure of how it would show up. Thinking of Flynn's business dealings, are they expecting to find a paper trail where he paid Russians to hack Hilary? You'd think they'd rather just lose the election than have something like that hanging over their heads. Who knows? Has anyone been able to prove that only rational people run for President?

Consider for a moment the swing states: Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

Now think ahead a few years when the Russia investigation has long concluded. What will those states remember about the Dem leadership of today? It's a trap. Dems are walking right into it.

Trump-Russia collusion? What crime was committed? Only one. Hacking of the DNC. The FBI can't pin that on Trump or any other individual because they didn't turn over their servers to the FBI. Since no law enforcement investigation was done, no charges can be filed. It could have been an inside job by a closet Bernie supporter.

Either way, I guess a source is the best way for anyone making statements. Everybody interprets things wrong sometimes. I have actually posted things in defense of Trump (though rare) and was slammed by the supporters.

Believe it or not, there are far more stories out there about the facts I have stated than whatever is circulating from Limbaugh, Fox, and the odious Alex Jones, but lemme guess you would not ever dream of acknowledging them. Something which I have never understood in this country is that fake news coexists along with actual news. This should be illegal.

If a news source wants to call itself a news source, it simply cannot be allowed to lie and propagandize for a huge percent of the time. It should be fined, it should be threatened to be taken off the air, most certainly it should be FORCED to call itself what it usually resorts to when sued - "infotainment" - simply not news.

Fox News and its ilk will be the death of our democracy - if it has not done it already with what it elected president. It is a million miles away from "fair and balanced" - it is simply unbalanced in the favor of the right wing - at its origin it was called by Roger Ailes (such a family man) "Republican news."

The difference between truth and fact is far more important than the difference between right and left, especially right now when the current administration is threatening our democracy.

If I post something I believe to be true and I read it or saw it on the news I would google and find something to back up my claim.

If I do not post a link it is because I may be posting wishful thinking, gossip and my husband told me so. So don't believe anything without a link from anyone.

There is no excuse for not posting a link for a political claim you are making. No link = BOGUS information. No amount of long-winded excuses can explain the lack of linking source.
