who have worked all their lives at low wages and have no medical insurance (seen on Dr Oz). cannot help but wish all the money splent on mr 5-heart-attacks-already (due to bellicosity, drinking and highfat diet) could have been splent on the poor folks who deserve a helping hand and did not murder thousands of innocent villagers.

oldjoke. Doctors dont decide- MONEY decides. Insurance companies want PROFIT not justice. Perhaps our Maker timed this Cheney situation to highlight the inequity and love of money this nation has descended to.

nonprofit organizations. I agree there is a lot of evil that goes on in this country, and no I do not believe money decides. I have a sister who has had a transplant (cancer), and she was on either Medicare or Medicaid at the time. She had no money. A lot of the people I see in GI who need livers also have no job, so guessing no money. They are not turned away if they have been avid drug users in the past and acquired their disease this way.

Perhaps, our Maker timed the situation because he was giving Cheney a chance at life. Perhaps, He has helped those making the guidelines to make it possible for people with not the best background still be given a chance at life.

Since the Supreme Court is considering the national health care law I do not see it as a coincidence. If you believe that there is fairness in the health care system because you know of a few cases where the poor were treated, you need to expand your thinking processes. It sounds to me like you believe that poor people and substance abusers are less deserving and thus should feel very fortunate that they were granted treatment.

My teen son is developmentally disabled and has gotten wonderful care on medical assistance, 2 open heart surgeries and recent surgery for testicular cancer. His postop rehab was covered and all medications and subsequent tests. I have to say his care has not been one bit less comprehensive and my husband's care when he had colon cancer.

Medicare and Medicaid are going bankrupt! So, Govt healthcare will only work until it goes bust... and then what? Face reality and realize this is not a fairytale. We MUST change things, and Obamacare is not the answer. This has took me a while to come to terms with it, but I was diagnosed December 3 with Paget's of the right breast. This was misdiagnosed a year ago as eczema. I have to wait and have my 2nd MRI (as I freaked out with the 1st one) on the 31st of this month with a sedative this time, and an ultrasound to find out how far it has progressed. A few months ago, I posted a request for prayer. One of the issues was a suspicious breast lump, which was recommended to be reimaged. I just had a mammogram in March of this year, everything fine. I noticed a slightly bigger than pencil eraser size reddish lesion on 1 margin of my breast day before yesterday. Well, I had my surgery on New Year's Eve, and came away with an 8 cm incision wrapping around my dorsal forearm. I got the pathology back and it was a well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma, 3 x 3.5 cm, all margins clear.
