Small lesion on breast, how concerned

Posted: Oct 19, 2009

I just had a mammogram in March of this year, everything fine. I noticed a slightly bigger than pencil eraser size reddish lesion on 1 margin of my breast day before yesterday. I have had other skin lesions and made visits to the dermatologist as recent as about 2 months ago, had seborrheic dermatitis on my face, also notice sometimes I have like a red, itching place on the upper groin. I wonder if I should be worried enough to go back in and have this latest place checked out?

Diagnosed With Paget's Of BreastJan 03, 2011
This has took me a while to come to terms with it, but I was diagnosed December 3 with Paget's of the right breast. This was misdiagnosed a year ago as eczema. I have to wait and have my 2nd MRI (as I freaked out with the 1st one) on the 31st of this month with a sedative this time, and an ultrasound to find out how far it has progressed. The mammogram is completely clear though and they did not find any lumps. Much prayers are appreciated as I have a 12 and 6 year old and husband at home. ...

Anyone With Experience Breast-feeding?Oct 27, 2010
My daughter has a 7-week old.  She is breast-feeding and all is going well.  She is a special ed administrator/teacher and will have to go back to work in December.  There will also be 2 short overnight trips for work.  She wants to continue the breast milk by pumping and have the nanny give the baby the bottle of breast milk.  The problem is, the baby absolutely refuses a bottle.  She wants the breast or nothing.  It is truly a fight a ...

Battle With Breast Lumps, Anyone Else?Jun 04, 2010
I have a family history of breast cancer (aunt with bilateral at a very early age) and have been battling with breast lumps for the past 15 years but very frequently over the last five years or so.  My last breast mass excision was about three years ago after a horrible scare but thankfully it, as well as the others, have been benign.  Three weeks ago I had a horrible attack of cholecystitis (very abrupt) and underwent a cholecystectomy.  While showering three days ago I found yet ...

Breast Cancer Awareness, Perhaps Going Too Far?Oct 07, 2013
In an e-mail from child's 1st teacher, there is a notation that October 15th is wear pink day in honor of the Komen foundation.   While I think it is wrong to over-shelter kids, I also have to wonder in this case if this would be going perhaps too far.  It is nothing I will raise a stink over, my son will not be wearing pink as he does not have anything pink but I am just kind of baffled by this. ...

Breast Mass FollowupMay 07, 2014
A few months ago, I posted a request for prayer.  One of the issues was a suspicious breast lump, which was recommended to be reimaged.  After 3 appointments that had to be rescheduled because of snowstorms here in the Northeast, I had followup images, including ultrasound, and ultimately a core needle biopsy last Thursday.  The radiologist called me yesterday to say the nodule was benign.  What a relief! I just want to thank everyone who prayed.  Those prayers meant so ...

Found A Lump In My Breast Two Days Ago AndOct 19, 2011
my doctor is almost certain it is not a benign lump. I am having a mammogram later today. My cousin died from breast cancer after an 8 year battle earlier this year. The Breast Pump Industry Is Booming, Thanks To Obamacare. :)Jan 05, 2013
[Interested in a new line of work?] Excerpts from Washington Post article, link to artle below. "The legislators who drafted Obamacare wrestled with cosmic issues of health and spending, but here’s one consequence they didn’t foresee: a boom in demand for breast pumps that has left some retailers scrambling to keep up. Tucked within the Affordable Care Act is a provision requiring insurance companies to cover breast pumps and visits to lactation consultants at no cost to ...

Concerned About MomApr 09, 2012
So this weekend I was in the living room and mom was in the kitchen. She then came next to me and said that she was feeling intense back pain and chest pain along with palpitations. She sat down for a few minutes and drank some water but she was in anguish. She is perimenopausal and has been getting palpitations every once in a while. she's a pretty tough woman, has a  high pain tolerance... CONCERNEDNov 04, 2016
I am listening to President Obama at a rally in North Carolina and I think he honestly thinks North Carolinians are just plain stupid.  If the truth be known, really both candidates are not very good choices.  However, when I think about the Benghazi incident and hear Hilary Clinton say "What does that matter" well it matters to me.  Her husband going to meet with the Attorney General on the tarmack for 30 minutes knowing she was under investigation was wrong.  She is gu ...

Small MT Company May Have To CloseJan 04, 2010
A wonderful small MT company in my town will soon be faced with closing if the Health Care Reform bill is passed.  She does not provide health insurance for her MTs but pays them well enough that they can afford their own (14 cpl).  She cannot afford health insurance for them because her group is too small for any significant discounts.  If the Health Care Reform passes which states that employers who do not provide health insurance will be fined/taxed $750 per employee, this MT c ...

What Small Car Owners Should Know About Car InsuranceApr 14, 2015
Americans are known around the world for their love of big cars. Many wouldn’t be caught dead behind the wheel of one of those little cars you’re more likely to see on the streets in Europe. But as gas prices continue to climb higher and more Americans become concerned with the environmental impact of larger, less fuel-efficient cars, small cars are starting to grow in popularity even here. What many haven’t considered is that smaller cars tend to have a lower safety rating. For example in ...

Update RE: Favoritism In A Small Town.Sep 26, 2011
Well, after I blew off steam here.  I decided to keep my mouth shut.  No telling anyone off or mouthing off in the stands.  I had very nicely asked the coach if there was anything my DD needed to work on to be able to be a flyer and I decided to just leave it at that.  I decided that I would alienate my daughter more by running my mouth and I decided nothing would change anyway.  So I threw up my hands in futility and swallowed my anger which was EXTREMELY difficult!
