Posters here have better things to do with their time than to be answering their own posts. Maybe the liberals do it and that's why they keep bringing it up, but the conservatives on here are adults and post as such. I guess some liberal posters can't believe that there are actually more than one conservative/independents on this board and that others do share the same opinion and agree with others. I agree with a lot of other conservative posters so I find it amusing that if I post something in agreement that someone actually takes the time to show the whole board that that is how they think. It's pretty embarrassing if you ask me. One of those things that thinking it is bad enough, but to come out and say it is just, well embarrassing.

Besides, am sure the Moderator is keeping an eye on who posts and if people are answering their own posts.

And you're not a Polyanna. You can kind of tell when you see a pile on of posts coming right after one another cheering each other on. And I'm not talking about answering different posters... I mean answering thier own posts trying to make it seem like more people share their POV. There's really no way to call this out though unless there's something consistent like a typo that couldn't have been done w/ a copy and paste. Also, beware if you use a regular moniker. If you say the wrong thing, you'll get answers just to start an argument.

and think they can tell because "they recognize the writing styles", but that takes place in their own minds. They will tell you they match times stamps, writing styles, etc. The fact of the matter is, people are on this board from all over the country and those writing that stuff to you cannot back up any claim they made. The ones that scream the loudest about these things and the "moniker" are the biggest offenders. If you are new to this board, you will easily see where the problems are after a few visits. Some posters want to fill your head with the things they pull and blame it on others. I hope you stick around.

I think of these gravedigger types as the the cons version of the mythical zombie voters they claim rise up and march in great numbers to the polls after their voter registration inside plants send them a list of all the dead folks still on the county's VR rolls.

Instead of allegedly throwing a national election and creating a national voter fraud "emergency," these post gravediggers simply organize a gang-related pile-on when the topics start making them all hot under the collar and stuff.

If I haven't made myself clear (as the GDs often accuse me of doing), the answer to your question is yes, they do.
The frequency of the pile-cons has had a notable uptick ever since Romney announced his VEEP pick, but they generally tend to occur in cycles. Sometimes they are triggered by the mere appearance of the "alphabet sisters," but more often than not its unpleasant subject matter that sets them off.

As an aside, I think you've caught on rather nicely. I find your posts refreshing, thoughtful and even handed.

Thumbs up was a vote for Obama and thumbs down was a vote for Romney. It was meant to be a way of eliminating multiple votes by the same poster under different monikers. Sure enough, as the day wore on, it became apparent that one side was outnumbering the other by an almost 4:1 margin (23 likes/6 likes). This was in sharp contrast to the results from the earlier poll.

When this became obvious, a pile-on ensued against the original poster who simply was trying to conduct a FAIR tally!!!

One poster went and got her family and friends to vote thumbs up even if they didn't support him. There was nothing fair about that.

The other post below that would have been fine. But also the flaw in that thinking is that not everyone on this board voted. Did you see how many people read the message? 183 and yet only 29 people voted in her latest poll. Yet in the poll below that she didn't like that more than one person voted for Romney so she thought she'd try it a different way??? So all those people that voted in the first post you are just throwing away because you didn't like they posted they would vote for Romney? That's what it looks like. It's like every time there is more support for Romney a liberal will come and say, lets try it again, as though they will get a different outcome. But out of 183 people only 29 voted. That doesn't give an accurate count. Looks like the Romney supporters got it right though. Why vote again. However, the next flaw in your math is in the first post 5 people voted for Romney before she decided to change it and in the second post 6 people who felt like hitting the vote button (not me included cos I voted the first time) voted for Romney. I would say there was no difference and no "light shed" 5 people wrote Romney in the first poll and 6 people voted for Romney in the second poll. There was no "sharp contrast". She didn't get any different answer with the second poll than she did the first.

I recently took the action to move a post from this board to the faith board and wanted to explain why. The post in itself was because someone does not agree with the mormon religion and she went on to post her opinions about a religion. The content of the message was not political, except that it mentioned a politicians name, but nothing about politics itself.
