So many on this board like to defend the rich and do not think they should pay more in taxes. Here is a good article for review on how the financial world goes around.
As usual, the Republicans are out to gut the Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act that was just signed into law last July.
Keep an eye on that pension and 401-K. Don't even think about privatizing SS.

I was horrified when it was being considered a few years that people have the 'option' of opting out of SS and putting that same contribution amount into the stock market instead. Well, the rest of us will be having to take care of the people who lose everything they have in the stock market.
I enjoy the stock market, but if I had invested everything I had in it and looked at it yesterday or today, I might have been looking to jump out of my 2-story window! Then I would have had broken bones and no money for medicare care, so that would be productive either, so I would have to depend on everybody who didn't opt out of SS and chose privitization of retirement money instead.

He saw no problem with that (there is video with him saying so, provided you are interested in the truth). He said the government would not bail the companies out. Fannie failed, mortgages defaulted, all that bad paper hit Wall Street and what happened...the government (you and me) bailed those companies out.
You can minimize the wrongness of THAT all YOU want, but it does not change the fact that a Dem controlled congress engineered that, even while the Bush admin was warning them of what could happen.
You really need to look to the TRUTH, no matter WHO it implicates.
