Don't make enough to travel anymore. Wouldn't mind hearing her but travel is so out of my budget these days.

How about the $549 cost of the ticket? Is she - worth it? nm

However, with Bambi in charge of the economy, the middle class is screwed, so I'd better get used to being poor.

As I said, I don't make enough to travel. I would still like to hear what she has to say (as I would like to hear what many people have to say), I just don't have the money to travel so I don't HAVE to decide.
Frankly, you couldn't pay me to waste a couple - hours of my life listening

to her bs.

At least it's cheaper than the $28,500 Obama dinners - anon

[ In Reply To ..]
Or the $34,000 dinner with him, or

$1,000 for a dinner with Pelosi, but if you want to sit at her table....$30,000.

So if I had the money I'd pay 549 to listen to Palin. It least her conversation would be more interesting.

Is she worth it? I would say for the people paying the money to listen to her....yes, she is worth it.

I can't imagine anyone being that stupid ~ sm - Confuzzeled

Paying to listen to a politician (or attention ho) lying is almost as dumb as paying $450 for a meet and greet with a rock band who thinks their autographs are important. HELLO?????

If these folks would like to throw their money away, I'll be glad to take it!

Why I asked - NJ

[ In Reply To ..]
There are posters here who have mentioned attending Tea Party affairs before. I was curious as to whether or not the hefty price tag on the convention tickets would deter anyone.

Thanks for the responses ^^

I would go to a tea party if I could. Just interested in what the people of the country have to say. DH will not go (very paranoid our names would be taken and put on a list - and I'm not paranoid, but with the current administration it's not something I'd be surprised at), but if there was one close and I had no DH I'd go. I myself would not pay any amount of money to listen to any politician speak no matter how good the food might be. What they have to say should not cost any money to listen to. It doesn't matter whether it's Palin, Obama, Biden, McCain, etc, etc, etc. I can read on the internet and listen on TV for free. Why would it be any different to pay over $500 to listen to Palin or over $500 to listen to Biden. It's all a matter of choice as to which politicians you like as to whether you would pay the money to hear them speak. Since about half the country wants to hear Palin she seems to be as important to them as Biden or Obama is to the other half. Just trying to see things on an independent basis.

I live 90 miles south of Nashville. It takes me a little over an hour to drive there, but I would not walk across the street to listen to her. I have heard enough to last me a lifetime.
Well that's fine and dandy...your preference.... - however....

There is the other part of the population in the country who do want to hear her.

Tea Party Plan To Impersonate Union MembersFeb 26, 2011
Here is the but one plan being hatched before Walker spilled the beans to Fake Koch.  Tea Party leader Mark Williams was referred to as the mastermind of this plan.  I tried the link provided in the political carnival article but that particular blog appears to have been SCRUBBED.   Maybe you can have better luck than I.  http://www.marktalk.com/blog/2011/02...-us-this-week/ Tea Party plan to impersonate union members:  “Even if it becomes known that we ...

The Tea Party (disgusting And Full Of Vitrole And Hatred) Are Not The Republican Party HopefullyApr 17, 2011
I hope with everything I have in me that the Tea Party does not represent the Republican Party. This is what the Tea Party stands for. They are full of vitriole and hatred. This is not what the Republican party stands for. See comments by Republican Party of Orange County Chairman Scott Baugh, "It's just highly inappropriate, it's a despicable message, it drips with racism and I think she should step down from the committee," said Baugh. "Davenport, a tea party activist, represents t ...

Diagnosing Family MembersNov 09, 2009
Ok, I'm sure this has happend to many of you. Your family members come to you for a diagnosis since "you hear it all the time". My sister has been complaining for a very long time now of severe mood swings, slowly putting on some weight, and thinning hair. I suggested she have her doctor check her thyroid since our mother has a thyroid issue. Well the test came back within normal limits (what ever that is, lol), but she had anemia with hemoglobin in the 7s. She had to have 5 iron fusions; s ...

Sponging Family Members!Nov 03, 2013
I have a cousin and her family is so irritating and they seem to sponge off of everyone.  They work and make decent money, but live as if they have no money whatsoever.  They never buy things unless it comes from a thrift store and such and even when my cousin visits me, she almost begs me for my clothes, shoes or whatever.   My cousin, her husband and daughter will just show up at random family members houses, me included, and hang around and when it's dinnertime, she will A ...

Poll Of NRA Members Shows 74% SupportDec 15, 2012
Not much lower than 82% for the general population, but definitely MUCH higher than the NRA leadership. I've forgotten the number, but most NRA members, normal citizens who undergo them themselves, actually believe gun purchases require background checks. Although the Brady law requires background checks be conducted by commercial gun dealers, at least 40% of gun sales  (last study 15 years old) are private sales not involving background checks. (BTW, eBay and Craig's List do not ...

It's Time To Re-think Immunity For Members Of CongressApr 04, 2015
I think we're all tired of politicians lying to us.  When they do so in their "official" capacity, i.e. from the floor of either chamber of Congress, they are immune from prosecution, lawsuits, etc.  I'm thinking, of course, about the lies Harry Reid told about Mitt Romney not paying his taxes, but he's certainly neither the sole nor the founding member of the Liar's Club in Congress.  I also think that governmental officials such as Lois Lerner should have no ...

Harried Reid And Other Members Of The Court Have Weighed In On The Snyder CaseMay 28, 2010

Obama & New PartyJun 07, 2012
On the evening of January 11, 1996, while Mitt Romney was in the final years of his run as the head of Bain Capital, Barack Obama formally joined the New Party, which was deeply hostile to the mainstream of the Democratic party and even to American capitalism. In 2008, candidate Obama deceived the American public about his potentially damaging tie to this third party. The issue remains as fresh as today’s headlines, as Romney argues that Obama is trying to move the United States tow ...
