Unreal. Church turns members away

This is a church in Indiana that is being torn apart after they dismissed the choral director because he is gay.

The man evidently believes that people want to disrupt the service.

Can't believe the man blocking the door tells the elderly lady, "keep your hands off of me, Eleanor" after she lays her hand on his arm while talking to him.

Does it EVER occur to these so-called Christians that the behavior IN THE CHURCH is being witnessed by the God they insist they believe in?

Can ANY of these people really and truly see Jesus turning away a believer regardless of who he or she loves?

They are entitled to their beliefs, but that is just cruel. I think the choral director should go where he is appreciated as a human being, not his sexual orientation.

I think if someone wants to worship or work in a so-called Christian church, they need to keep their lifestyle a secret, unfortunately. Better, just go where you're appreciated or worship by yourself.

and NO, we are not satan worshipers. What is satan supposed to be...a fallen angel. If you do not believe in god, how can you believe in satan. We are simply thinkers. Churches want believers, not thinkers.

I had a similar discussion with my pastor just last week. I don't even know how the subject came up, but he said absolutely EVERYONE was welcome in our church. You can't lump people into stereotypes and say something is typical of all of them. That's not fair.

I watched the video thing, and I'm a little confused. Is it the parishioners who didn't want the gay man there? And who exactly is the man at the door? You only said "the church" dismissed the gay man, and I'm not sure who "the church" is in terms of people or person who fired the choral director.

Maybe I missed something--wouldn't be the first time, LOL.
