Tea Party plan to impersonate union members

Posted: Feb 26, 2011

Here is the but one plan being hatched before Walker spilled the beans to Fake Koch.  Tea Party leader Mark Williams was referred to as the mastermind of this plan.  I tried the link provided in the political carnival article but that particular blog appears to have been SCRUBBED.   Maybe you can have better luck than I.

http://www.marktalk.com/blog/2011/02...-us-this-week/

Tea Party plan to impersonate union members:  “Even if it becomes known that we are plants the quotes & pictures will linger as defacto truth.”

http://action.seiu.org/page/5/solidarityaction

That link will take you to an SEIU page where you can sign up as an “organizer” for one of their upcoming major rallies to support the union goons in Wisconsin.

… (1) I signed up as an organizer (2) with any luck they will contact me and I will have an “in” (3) in or not I will be there and am asking as many other people as can get there to come with, all of us in SEIU shirts (those who don’t have them we can possibly buy some from vendors likely to be there) (4) we are going to target the many TV cameras and reporters looking for comments from the members there (5) we will approach the cameras to make good pictures… signs under our shirts that say things like “screw the taxpayer!” and “you OWE me!” to be pulled out for the camera (timing is important because the signs will be taken away from us) (6) we will echo those slogans in angry sounding tones to the cameras and the reporters. (7) if I do get the ‘in’ I am going to do my darnedest to get podium access and take the mic to do that rant from there…with any luck and if I can manage the moments to build up to it, I can probably get a cheer out of the crowd for something extreme.

WARNING: When around these union events do NOT instigate ANY physical confrontation, walk away from anyone who tries to start one with you. These people WILL have a mob mentality and ARE dangerous. [...]

Chances are that because I am publishing this they’ll catch wind, but it is worth the chance if you take it upon yourself to act…there’s only one of me but there are millions of you and I know that you CAN do this!

Our goal is to make the gathering look as greedy and goonish as we know that it is, ding their credibility with the media and exploit the lazy reporters who just want dramatic shots and outrageous quotes for headlines. Even if it becomes known that we are plants the quotes and pictures will linger as defacto truth.

Police Chief: Gov. Walker call 'troubling'

By Sarah Muller - Thu Feb 24, 2011 5:22 PM EST.

Madison Police Chief Noble Wray
The Madison police chief joined the growing ranks of citizens who want an explanation from Gov. Scott Walker on his fake Koch call.

"I would like to hear more of an explanation from Governor Walker as to what exactly was being considered, and to what degree it was discussed by his cabinet members," said Chief Noble Wray. "I find it very unsettling and troubling that anyone would consider creating safety risks for our citizens and law enforcement officers."

In the 20-minute chat, Walker admitted he considered planting troublemakers in the huge crowd of peaceful protesters at the State Capitol.

The Madison Police Department has nothing but praise for protesters. "Crowd behavior has been exemplary, and thousands of Wisconsin citizens are to be commended for the peaceful ways in which they have expressed First Amendment rights," the department told a local paper.

reporter because a reporter was there asking questions and this protester not only had filthy language as to what he was going to do to this protester, but also smacked the reporter on the head. Police were called in and they took the guy out.

Don't know what happened to the guy and don't remember where I saw it, but it was a video.

is this the one? - icedT

He assaulted a young woman for crying out loud! His mother is probably so proud of him.

"Tabitha Hale, a staff member of Freedom Works, was physically assaulted by a union protester. The video shows the protester, in a heated debate with a young man, turn his frustration on the woman recording the exchange, snarl, and whack her. The attack knocked the woman’s camera to the ground."

The assault happens at 7:36 in the 11 minute video.

The assault happens at 7:36 in the 11 minute video.  I really think the guy was drunk! It's not the first union video I've seen someone confront a reporter and also seemed drunk.

UNION assault? Really? - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
First of all, the video does not show how this exchange of words began, so one can only SPECULATE that the demonstrator actually started it. At 7:36 what can be seen is some distance between the camerman and the man in the cap; enough distance, in fact, for the little old lady with gray hair to stand between them trying to keep them separated. We also can see that the guy in the cap is not the only one using fighting words.

We then see surrounding demonstrators IMMEDIATELY step in to DIFFUSE the situation. One man extended his arm in front of him at face level. Notice in that shot the camerman cannot even be seen. He was then told to calm down. It comes as no suprise (again) that the demonstrator wants the CAMERA OUT OF HIS FACE, just as was the case in the Freedom Works heckler paparazzi clip. Once his fellow demonstrators began intervening, he continues to shout at the cameraman while at the same time cooperates by stepping further and further back, to the point that two or three people are able to stand in front of him. The camerman accuses him of smacking his camera and assaulting him, leaving everyone to wonder WHY someone would do such a thing for no reason whatsoever. Perhaps the camerman backed up and ran over the guy, who was standing behind him. Who knows? I find it difficult to believe that this guy started cussing without any provocation. Whatever the case, the guy also cooperated with the police and left when he was asked to leave.

So this is what you call a UNION assault? No physical contact visible. No punches thrown. Really?
Excuse me, but this video shows no such thing. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
The Freedom Works alleged masters degree guy with the intellect and the weird glasses starts heckling this guy who is minding his own business, and who even answers the intrusion with a smile on his face. His answer obvoiusly indicates he does not wish to be approached or to talk to the heckler. The video itself tells the story.

The camera is so close to him and the heckler that the video shots are not even able to show whole faces most of the time. We see cheeks, noses, glasses, hairlines, a chin and half heads. In other words, both the Freedom Works heckler AND the photographer (who just HAPPENED to be there ?? when the heckling started) shoved themselves RIGHT UP IN HIS FACE.

When the video cuts away, we are practically right up inside the guys mouth! It is not even possible to tell who came toward whom, but the guy had every right to try to get the the video equipment OUT OF HIS FACE. Excuse me for saying so, but this looks like a set up of the same kind that the Tea Party plan was promoting.

If I were him, I too would have felt violated and would not have hesitated to shove back, man or woman. In fact, this would have made me furious. He was not there to be interviewed, heckled or photographed. He was there to demonstrate support for unions. Freedom Works Paparazzi and heckler intruded on his privacy and did not know when to quit. Big surprise.

Excuse me??!! What are you talking about when you say "set up of the same kind that the Tea Party plan was promoting." That's absolutely false and you know it. The Tea Party made no such plans. Stop the smears.

Everyone here is not refusing to address the original post. There's just nothing to address. There's no Tea-Party-is-evil story here. You can keep trying, but that ember isn't going to ignite.
What are you talking about? - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I know what you were referring to. Listen up. I posted a story. I made a reference to the content of the article, that's all. I am not trying to ignite anything. You and your tea party compadres are the ones using these tiresome dodges, distractions and denials, running around acting as though you are putting out some sort of fire. We get it. You disown him. Fine.

Facts are facts. Williams posted this plan. I posted the article about Williams. He is recognized by some as a Tea Party member. Oh well, too bad, too sad. End of story.

[ In Reply To ..]
Mark Williams is not a Tea Party leader. He certainly isn't representing the Tea Party and doesn't lead the Tea Party. He's old news. If he wants to slip in the gutter with those he despises and play their games, so be it. The Tea Party is much classier than him and does not align with him. Since this is America, he can do whatever he wants and try to organize something, but I'm telling you that he no backing from the Tea Party Patriots. Don't give him the time of day, and he may just go away if we're lucky. I'm not going to waste any more time defending the Tea Party from this kind of stuff that has nothing to do with the Tea Party, any more than any union member or Democrat would defend a goon pretending to be one of them.

He was the spokesman for the Tea Party Express - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
He wrote It's Not Right Versus Left, It's Right Versus Wrong; Exposing the Socialist Agenda and TAKING BACK AMERICA ONE TEA PARTY AT A TIME. He is a frequent guest at Tea Party headquarters, errr, I mean Fox News. He has actively campaigned for Tea Party backed candidates in California, Nevada, Utah, Massachusetts and elsewhere.

Just as the GOP has fractured into 1000 pieces, I understand there are splits within the various Tea Party factions. He does claim, however, that he was contacted by other Tea Party organizations planning to do the same thing he posted in his blog (just sayin). If I can come up with info on who these other tea party organizations are, I would be happy to post it later.

Makes no difference to me whether you claim him or not. My general rule of thumb is that if it walks like a tpot, talks like a tpot and supports other tpots, its probably a tpot. You as any other who reads these posts are free to agree or disagree.

assocation? - icedT

[ In Reply To ..]
He can claim anything he wants and write anything he wants - that doesn't make it true. I'm telling you that he is not associated with the Tea Party Patriots as much as you want him to be.

But now that I know it's guilt by association, that really opens up Pandora's Box, doesn't it? If that's how we play, there here are just 2 "guilt by associations" that we can start with for now:

-Rev Jeremiah Wright: "America's chickens are coming home to roost" and "no, no, no...not God Bless America. God damn America."

-William Ayers: "I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough."

And we actually do agree on that general rule of thumb, but mine is this: If it walks like a Marxist, talks like a Marxist, and supports other Marxist's, it's probably a Marxist.
You seem determined to duke it out here. - Not interested.
[ In Reply To ..]
I simply posted some facts about Williams and am leaving it up to anyone reading the thread to make up their own minds. If you insist on trying to go off topic (again) you are going there all by your lonesome. Toodle-loo.

once again, this is NOT associated with the Tea Party - tppmt

[ In Reply To ..]
Stop trying to pin this kind of garbage that Williams is trying to do on the Tea Party Patriots. They have nothing to do with it. They cut ties with him a long time ago and he's probably got a grudge or two. It's an old story.

Just to be clear, if Williams decides to do something hateful, are we going to be doing something like 7 degrees of separation or 7 degrees of Kevin Bacon and then ultimately blame the Tea Party Patriots? Come on, just stop already. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but you can't pin this on the Tea Party Patriots. Nice try.

Patriots, Schmatriots. - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
Look, I am quite sure that within the movement there are those who claim to be the purest, realest, rightest most top-dog tpots ever, who have not given a second thought to throwing their original organizers under the bus, badmouthing other factions and trying t distinguish themselves from one another in their race to the top.

Fact is that outside the movement, most of us think tpots north, south, east or west, are all cut from the same cloth.

And what cloth do you think we are all cut from? - icedT

[ In Reply To ..]
You know so little about the Tea Party.

Logging off for the night - have a good evening (and I mean it).

Ahh...then by that line of thinking, because some... - SEIU members acted like thugs...

[ In Reply To ..]
I can say SEIU members are thugs?

Those who combine en masse entire groups based on what a few say (or act)are also cut from the same cloth...want to guess what kind of cloth that is?
Just to clarify - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I never said anything about thuggery. I was speaking of political philosophy. While tactics many differ amongst these factions, their goals and agendas are perceived outside the movement as same ole same ole. Interesting though you would relate this statement to thuggery while straying far off the thread topic. Feeling a bit defensive thise morning, are we?
Feeling a little deflective this morning, are we? - If you are going to take that
[ In Reply To ..]
tac, let's go. My point was you paint everyone of that "political philosophy" with a very broad brush, then talk about "perceptions." You know nothing about ANYONE espousing "tea party" ideas other than the ones doing the talking. If I judged the SEIU only by the ones I saw in the video beating the crap out of people during elections, then I would be justified, using YOUR wide brush standard, in saying the SEIU were violent thugs who resorted to beating people up who would not "listen" to them.

You can try to hide under the "philosophy" thing all you want. You are sounding really bigoted here, friend, especially when you don't know what you are talking about.

Believe me, we realize that people of your "philosophy" are scared. Loss of perceived control of the message is never much fun. And people of your "philosophy" have resulted to the same tactics they always go to...shoot the messenger and when you cannot refute an argument, deflect.

Kinda too late. We of the "we are sick of the status quo" philosophy are onto folks of your "philosophy." We know better. It is not one organized party like people of your "philosophy." It is just regular folks who really never dabbled in politics much and have awakened and decided that perhaps that was not the right thing to do. What chaps people of your "philosophy" is that more are falling on the side of your described "factions, goals, and agendas."

OUCH. Truth hurts, doesn't it? ;-)
