THEY deserve a vote!!!!

Posted: Feb 12, 2013

You tell it Mr. President!

Also:  No person who works full-time in this country should have to live in poverty.

Now if he would only do something about it - Talk is cheap - he aint helpin

He has done nothing. Talk is cheap. He may talk the talk (so that some may get a tingle), but he is not walking the walk and doing anything to help us.

I agree. Obama's talent is making speeches. - He is clueless on fixing anything ! nm

What part of they deserve a vote was confusing? - Fairminded

[ In Reply To ..]
Or did you somehow forget he was *speaking to the Congress* to vote on the measure(s) regarding gun issues?

Seriously. And as far as doing nothing to help us, you truly are clueless. If not for how he handled his first term, the BUSH/CHENEY regime would have sunk this country with *their* policies... and yes the Congress sucked then too regardless of which party was the majority.

Your condemnation of this one man, Obama is pitifully transparent. Sorry for the harshness, but the willfull ignorance is soooooooo tiresome.

Hillary Doesn't Deserve Americans' AdmirationJan 13, 2013
Americans, Gallup tells us, admire Hillary Clinton more than any other woman in the world -- again. This latest accolade marks the 17th time Gallup has found Clinton to be the Most Admired Woman (MAW?) since she became first lady nearly 20 years ago. Only Eleanor Roosevelt (13 MAWs) comes close. Only Mother Teresa (1995 and 1996) and Laura Bush (2001) have interrupted Clinton’s winning streak, and even then, Clinton came in second. And therein lies America’s cosmic flaw. A country t ...

Please VoteAug 06, 2016
Regardless of whether or not you will vote for the office of president, there are other offices which need votes. There are issues of various types, local and state issues, that need a vote as well. In my state of Ohio, each local county PAYS for the cost in that county. Whether anybody shows up or not, the polls are still open, the poll workers still get paid. The polling machines are still rented. In short, there is a minimum cost to run the election. In my state, if there is not enough of ...

Why Should I Vote?Jan 30, 2014

Who Would You Vote For?Apr 12, 2015
First, who would be your ideal candidate for President - this can be someone who has already announced or someone completely off the radar.  Why would you vote for this person and who should he/she choose as a running mate? Second, of those who have announced (or will soon announce), who will you vote for in the primaries and why? For those who are independent voters, maybe choose a candidate from each party and tell why they might win your vote. Please no bashing each other's choic ...

Vote Your Conscience.Aug 22, 2012
I urge everyone to try to forget party for a while and actually ask yourself . . Am I better off now than I was 3-1/2 years ago? Is our country better off now than it was 3-1/2 years ago? Do I have hope for the future, for my children's future, for my grandchildren's future?  Do I believe America is still the land of opportunity, peace, and prosperity?  If you answered "yes" to those questions, then vote for Obama. If, however, your answer is "no," you owe it t ...

Why Romney Does Not Get My VoteOct 23, 2012
Some of you may be too young to remember the 1970s and the ERA.  You also may have never heard of Sonia Johnson, a Mormon women who was excommunicated from the Mormon church in the late 1970s for supporting the ERA and equal rights for women.  I had the occasion to speak with her after she wrote a book called "From Housewife to Heretic."  Anyway, long story short, I have firsthand experience as a former member of the Mormon church (and a very loyal, dedicated, and hardworking one ...

Why Do We Vote On Tuesday? Well,Nov 05, 2012
From Smithsonian.com: "The answer, it turns out, has a lot to do with buggies and farmers markets. The Founding Fathers met at the Constitutional Convention in 1787, NPR explains, but at the end of the meeting they still had not resolved a number of questions about how to run an entire nation. One of those issues involved the timing of federal elections. As a quick fix, they decided to leave it to individual states to set their own voting days, which led to several decades of &ldqu ...

Looks Like Democrats Have The 60-vote Majority!Nov 21, 2009
In a show of unity, Senate Democrats sealed a 60-vote majority needed to advance health care legislation Saturday ahead of an evening showdown with Republicans eager to doom the bill and inflict a punishing defeat on President Barack Obama. Two final holdouts, Sens. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana and Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas, announced in speeches a few hours apart on the Senate floor they would vote to clear the way for what is expected to be a bruising, full-scale health care debate after Than ...

I was almost ready to vote for him but then I realized he could NEVER accomplish those goals without putting our country further in debt. I'm posting this as a reminder that he did everything just the opposite of every statement and campaign "promise" he made concerning our country while a senator: "The fact that we are ...

Must Vote Obama Out To Get Bernanke Out. Sep 15, 2012
The Fed's latest move ("QE3") involves printing even more counterfeit money and doing even more of the same thing while expecting a different result.  And you know what that is - insanity.  But Bernanke hopes it will artificially pump up the economy (although buying up mortgage-backed securities does NOTHING to create jobs or generate real economic growth). Romney Says 47% Will Vote For Obama Who Believe TheySep 18, 2012

Is A Vote For Obama An Act Of Treason?Sep 18, 2012
Let's say, for the sake of discussion, that we can all probably agree that treason against the United States is an act that provides "aid and comfort to the enemy". Could a vote provide aid and comfort to the enemy? Yes, it can.  Just vote for the man who is very deliberately reducing the strength and influence of the United States in the world.  If you care to respond, here are the rules, or they don't count:  Show how a vote for Barack Obama does not qualify as an a ...
