Outspoken US conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh left hospital in Hawaii on Friday after a heart scare, and took a veiled swipe at President Barack Obama's plans to reform health care.
Limbaugh, the multi-millionaire high priest of talk radio, who is a hugely influential figure in Republican politics, said doctors had found nothing wrong with his heart -- despite severe chest pains he suffered on Wednesday.
"I have been treated to the best health care the world has to offer -- that is right here in the United States," Limbaugh said.
Limbaugh, 58, who has millions of faithful listeners, declined to take questions, saying he did not want to get into a political discussion in a hospital setting, despite his loaded comments about the health care system.
"I don't think there is one thing wrong with the American health care system it is working just fine, just dandy," he said.
Limbaugh, however, is quite wealthy and can afford the best health care money can buy, no matter where he is. Across the United States, some 46 million people are unable to afford health insurance which leaves visits to a doctor a luxury for most.
Limbaugh said last week that if President Obama's proposed health insurance reforms were to pass, "people will die."
Limbaugh said that a battery of tests including an angiogram had found "absolutely nothing wrong" with his heart and no arterial disease.

I never knew this before this subject came up. I do think it could place a burden on smaller companies, and that's why I think healthcare should be taken out of employment altogether. It's a large expense for small companies, and if they didn't have to provide health insurance, they'd possibly have extra money to expand their workforce.
For a start, though, I think Hawaii's healthcare system sounds great. That doesn't negate the fact that Limbaugh is so rich, he could afford to self-insure. He's out of touch with the average American citizens, especially those who have been forced to file bankruptcy because of their inability to afford being sick in what's supposed to be the greatest nation in the world.

Let's put this into context and interpret it correctly, okay?

The Raw Story is a left-leaning news and politics weblog[1] founded in 2004. Updated continuously, it is known primarily for its investigative reporting. The Raw Story currently covers daily local, world and economic news and publishes its own editorials and investigative pieces. According to their own masthead, Raw Story has been reported and featured in The New York Times, The Guardian, LA Weekly, the New York Post, the Toronto Star, The Hill, Rolling Stone, The Advocate, Roll Call, and Hustler.[2]
Boasting an average 3.6 million readers, the site is described by Newsweek as, "Muck, raked: If you're looking for alleged GOP malfeasance, the folks at rawstory.com are frequently scooping the mainstream media."[3]
On August 4, 2008 the Online News Association announced that RawStory.com was a finalist in the 2008 Online Journalism awards in the "Investigative, Small Site" category[4] for the story "The permanent Republican majority", about improper partisan influence in the prosecution of former Governor Don Siegelman of Alabama.

They said, "Muck, raked." That means Raw Story "raked" through all the "muck" to get to the truth about GOP "malfeasance."
The definition of malfeasance (according to OneLookDictionarySearch.com): noun: wrongful conduct by a public official
Therefore, they rake through all the muck of the GOP and expose wrongful conduct by public officials (though I've seen them go after Democrats, as well, and when I do, I post it here) and often "scoop" the mainstream media. This was a POSITIVE comment about Raw Story, not a negative one. I refer you to the rather long list of publications above where Raw Story has been reported and featured.
Raw Story was being given CREDIT for their work by Newsweek, not being criticized.
You cut sentences in half and present them as whole, a very manipulative trick, but it didn't work this time.
The source YOU quoted praised Raw Story, not criticized it.
You gave examples of words and/or phrases you didn't like. Name ONE of them that is NOT TRUE.
If you're unhappy with the words of a writer, then why don't you work as a writer and choose your own flowery words?
If you don't like that story, try this one from the AFP: http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20100102/en_afp/uspoliticsmediaradiolimbaugh
Sources are posted here all the time that demean President Obama, and they're absolutely devoid of truth.
In the meantime, I will continue to post stories from Raw Story. If my posts cause you such distress, I'd suggest that you not read them, but YOU will not censor me. That's up to the moderator.
