So glad to see Rush Limbaugh

to his knees.  (probably needs help getting up.)  I seem to remember him saying he would never apologize.  The apology was inadequate though and I hope he continues to be hounded.  He apologized for inappropriate wording and said it was not personal.  He said things about this woman for 3 days -- including asking for sex tapes, saying her parents should be ashamed of her and saying she could barely walk due to over-sexing, and he apologizes for 2 words.  Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of Rush's reign of terror.  Power to the people, right on!  Remember that other nasty right wing commentator - Glenn Beck?  No? Me neither.

commentator on this morning from the WSJ, a friend of Rush's, who said that he will have no problem replacing the sponsors. He also said that Rush's audience is some 6-8 million people, so he may be down temporarily but he is still a force in the neocon world and thus will not be out any time soon. Even if Rush were to retreat from the airwaves in shame, someone equally nasty will take his place, I think; nature abhors a vacuum. JMHO.

Just knowing the agony that narcissistic tub of oleo went through being forced to make that apology is delicious. He arrogantly thought because he had the republicans cowed, he was untouchable. He is untouchable, but for different reasons than he thinks

Ugh. Do you remember when he was detained on his trip to the Dominican Republic with those Viagra pills? I used to travel to the DR for work. Across from the plant where I worked was a compound of self-storage lockers, but they weren't for storage. The manager I worked with told me that's where the prostitutes do their work; they just roll up the door when they have a client and open it back up when they're ready for the next one. She said the DR is rife with sex tourists. I think I know where Rush was headed to!

such a repulsive image from one's mind? Maybe he only has experience with women of ill repute and always has to pay. Maybe he is misunderstood. His latest wife is (relatively) young and blonde. She was an "event planner" in Florida (we know what that means . . .). Even with an ego as big as Rush's, it is hard to imagine that even believes she is with him for his charisma and good looks. They always look so foolish when they stand around beaming with their eye candy.

I just hope we can move on from this ugly scene. Unfortunately for Media Matters, I don't think they can take Rush down with this. They're going to need much more ammunition and I'm sure they're not going to give up.

women's activism, and I'm not talking about the old NOW vanguard and "Feminazis." One-half of the entire US electorate seems to be falling all over themselves trying to either defend Mr. Mouthpiece or silently distance themselves and wait for the storm to pass. I can't think of a more powerful wake-up call than that for young women who learned about women's lib in history books and were laboring under the false impression they could take their equality for granted.

In the absence of an unequivocal official condemnation of this episode from the so-called GOP leadership, which could have gone at least some distance toward diffusing the situation, and in view of the other multiple legislative assaults on women of late and the failed right-wing Komen Foundation coup d'etat, I'd bet my bottom dollar they are fully alert, standing at attention and preparing for battle.

Rush isn't going anywhere. And, hey, to all hypocrites, - how bout Bill Maher apologize? HA !

Bill Maher is such a pig, and Obama should refuse the million bucks that the pig gave him. He has actually referred to certain women as the "C" word. Rush probably doesn't need me to defend him but have any of you who hate him ever listen to him? My husband got me listening 15 years ago and I have learned much about freedom in this country and the vision of the Right vs the Left. Rush wants everyone to be his best and wants the best things for the country. He says this all the time. The Left's vision is a utopia that is not possible to attain. Rush has made me feel good about myself and that this country gives me opportunities I could not get anywhere else. If I don't make the best of my life in the US, it's my fault, not the government's or anyone else's. We have grown up in a country where we have incredible freedom that others can hardly conceive of. We've never been without them, but if the Left has its way, we will lose those freedoms we take for granted. Rush is just trying to make us realize what we have and not to hand it over to the government.

Coulter Does Her Best To Out-Limbaugh RushJan 19, 2010
By David Edwards and Daniel TencerMonday, January 18th, 2010 -- 10:54 am Ann Coulter is jealous of the attention Rush Limbaugh has been getting since making his comment about the Obama administration wanting to exploit the Haitian tragedy to "burnish" his credentials with the black community. So she's making a conscious effort to out-controversy the controversial radio host, and on Fox News on Sunday, she didn't make much effort to keep that a secret. "Stop asking about Rush's ...

I can't believe Rush can't find anything better to complain about than an awareness campaign regarding over 200 kidnapped girls. It was a South African activist who started this campaign (although the misinformed are claiming Michelle Obama started it) and these days, Twitter campaigns have played a leading role in spreading information in a world where people seem to have technology-induced ADD. Not to mention the fact that the President caught flack for sending assistance to Nigeria ...

Rush Limbaugh is confused. He just can't understand why the Republican Party has so much trouble with blacks, Hispanics and women.
