posters who state Limbaugh

Posted: Mar 3, 2012

"important" to the republicans are misinformed.  The whole party is very afraid to make him mad.  There have been several occasions in the past where an elected republican disagreed with him on an issue and then was pressured to go on his show and "apologize"  As the defacto leader, he must be held to responsible for his words.  If your husband or father heard him calling YOU the names he called Ms. Fluke, would he not have his teeth knocked out?  As far as Limbaugh telling "the truth," I strongly disagree.  I listen to his program to stay sharp in deciphering spin.  He will take a statement from pres obama such as "I want every child to have the opportunity to go to college" and Rush will turn it into Obama thinks all repubs are white trash hillbillies .. .  he hates you and sits in his bathtub laughing about ignorant crackers" blah blah blah. He is a manipulator and his main goal is to keep people stirred up and divided.

that they think anyone who does not agree with their political viewpoints is "misinformed", is themselves misinformed. I don't think anyone really cares whether or not you think they are informed or not. That is your opinion and you know the sayings about opinions.

People who listen to Rush are informed. The same as people who listen to Savage, Olberman, Beck, Matthews, Morning Jo, etc. The reason being is this, which I doubt you will understand. All different people listen to whom they prefer to listen to. They then take the information and research making up their own minds about issues.

BTW, nobody in the party is "very afraid" to make him mad. Who specifically do you think is afraid of him. People in the republican party speak and they really don't care whether or not Rush says anything about them. If he does they'll simply state whether or not they agree, but there is no "fear" of him. Rush is just one person with a radio show just like Olberman, Beck, etc. Nobody is "very afraid". Name the elected people who were "pressured" to go on his show and apologize. Not anyone I've heard.

So you think Rush is "the defacto leader". ROFLMAO. Wait, I'm about to fall off my chair laughing at that one. That is hysterical. You really think that? ha ha ha ha ha. Haven't laughed this hard in a long time. Regardless of what you read in the tabloids my dear he is not the leader. He is a conservative with a radio show. He is a voice no more or less than other republicans who have radio shows (or liberals who have radio shows). The leader of the republican party, since you don't know is Mitch McConnell. The president of the RNC is Reince Priebus, and I don't see Rush's name in the list of board members.

As for your demands of being held responsible for his words. What he said was wrong. He was responsible and he apologized. I do believe there are other stories in the news now. Life moves on. And no, to answer your question if someone called me that name, no my father, husband, and brothers would never act in violence. Maybe that's the democrat way, just not us or any other conservatives we know. Everyone is adults, we all speak and work out differences out without resorting to violence.

So you disagree he tells the truth. I disagree Mathews or Olberman tells the truth. Big deal. Rush does tell the truth, whether or not you want to believe it. I don't always agree with him. It's probably 40/60 with 60% I agree with him. Not everyone that listens to him agrees with everything he says and if you ever listened to his show you would know this because of the callers who call in. Many people disagree with him on issues and he debates them respectively. Whether or not you want to believe that is your opinion.

Rush never stated that Obama thinks all republicans are white trash hillbillies and hates you and sits in his bathtub laughing about ignorant crackers. That one I needed to get to Kleenex I was laughing so hard. Where in the world did you hear that. Sounds like something Mathews would say though. Please do provide a link to the show where he said that that because I don't believe it and need to hear it for myself.

Rush's goal is to have a radio show. He provides entertainment for his listeners. He talks about issues going on and gives his opinion. He has guests on and he at least lets the country know what is going on no matter how much you don't like that and think nobody should know what's going on in our country. If you think he is a manipulator so be it, but no more than Mathews, Olberman, Beck, Morning Jo, etc.

Nobody is "afraid" of Rush - sm

To say an adult politician is "afraid" of Rush is just absurd. Why because he may say something they don't agree with...ooohhh spooky. :-) They are not afraid of him or anyone else. Sometimes they agree sometimes they disagree. Also, there are times when Rush is a very good spokesman on certain issues.

I understand - Nervous Nellie

I don't listen to him because he makes me feel grumpy and dirty. I am afraid it will wear off and I will become hateful and mean. I do want to know what the Republican Conservative spin is so I can fight the misinformation (with facts that I have researched diligently), however, I cannot go that far as to actually listen or look at him. I have to rely on short visits to this Board to learn the current talking points.

Nervous Nellie - Relying on this board is

a very big mistake. There are very few posters on here that post anything intelligent or anything that can pass for a conservation. Much more intent on trying to insult other posters, as if any poster on here truly cares what a complete stranger thinks.

What most posters on here completely overlook is that everyone is human. You never agree with any person 100%, even if they lock step into your chosen party. No president is perfect, and Obama does not walk on water.

Many come on here just to know what the Democratic Liberal spin is spewing so they can fight the misinformation (with facts researched diligently); however, many cannot go so far as to actually listen or look at Omaba and his regime.

I dont pay attention to him - sometimes its hard to avoid though

after the latest incident with him calling the college student a slut or prostitute or something to that nature.

In cases like this its hard to miss because then he is all over the news and internet.

I certainly wouldn't cast any votes based on what he says, thats for sure.

please save the 'those are not facts' retorts - the point being letterman comments on daily topics and this decidely proves my point about repubs fearing and being led by a troll-like homunculus.

Yeah like Liberal Letterman - is an accurate source, especially

[ In Reply To ..]
after his disgusting, vile, obscene comments regarding conservative women. How about researching those facts? Letterman is far worse than RL ever was...Letterman had no restraint even when it came to underage girls. Yeah, nothing biased about your post, or credible either. BTW, RL comments on daily topics, so what?. Being led around by a pig like Slutterman...by your standards, is okay to roll around in pig slop as long you're picking the pig doing the slopping.

So Glad To See Rush LimbaughMar 06, 2012
to his knees.  (probably needs help getting up.)  I seem to remember him saying he would never apologize.  The apology was inadequate though and I hope he continues to be hounded.  He apologized for inappropriate wording and said it was not personal.  He said things about this woman for 3 days -- including asking for sex tapes, saying her parents should be ashamed of her and saying she could barely walk due to over-sexing, and he apologizes for 2 words.  Hopefu ...

First Advertiser Bails On LimbaughMar 02, 2012
Updates: Rush said woman was "having so much sex" she could not afford her birth control pills.  Obviously he knows his listeners are dumb enough to believe that you need one pill for each sexual act, thus she is running out. Limbaugh mocks Obama for calling the woman in question in support.  Yellow Boehner wimps out with his forced response. Woman in question was talking about a friend who needed BCP for ovarian problems.  Liar, liar, by the way, lives in personal moral sew ...

For All Rush Limbaugh FansNov 20, 2009
Taken from a segment on Countdown on Wednesday.  Laurence O'Donnell speaking about MSNBC and Keith Olbermann's involvment in the free health clinics that are being set up all over the country.  The comparison between Keith Olbermann's personal contribution and Rush Limbaugh's over so generous contribution of a product he didn't even pay for should say it all.  I guess the $400 million dollar man can't afford to give something personally . . . . Coulter Does Her Best To Out-Limbaugh RushJan 19, 2010
By David Edwards and Daniel TencerMonday, January 18th, 2010 -- 10:54 am Ann Coulter is jealous of the attention Rush Limbaugh has been getting since making his comment about the Obama administration wanting to exploit the Haitian tragedy to "burnish" his credentials with the black community. So she's making a conscious effort to out-controversy the controversial radio host, and on Fox News on Sunday, she didn't make much effort to keep that a secret. "Stop asking about Rush's ...

Jon Stewart V. Rush Limbaugh. :)May 14, 2014
I can't believe Rush can't find anything better to complain about than an awareness campaign regarding over 200 kidnapped girls. It was a South African activist who started this campaign (although the misinformed are claiming Michelle Obama started it) and these days, Twitter campaigns have played a leading role in spreading information in a world where people seem to have technology-induced ADD. Not to mention the fact that the President caught flack for sending assistance to Nigeria ...

Limbaugh Unwittingly Praises Socialized Medicine, AgainMar 10, 2010
By Stephen C. WebsterTuesday, March 9th, 2010 -- 10:38 pm Right-wing radio talker Rush Limbaugh must be confused. During a recent broadcast, he vowed to "go to Costa Rica" if President Obama is successful in passing his health reform legislation. Most assumed he meant the statement in the vein of his promise to leave New York City over its tax rates, which he did. Now Limbaugh is saying he will not leave the U.S., as in, move away. Instead, Limbaugh claims that he will simply "go to Costa Rica ...

The GOP Must Choose: Rush Limbaugh Or Minority Voters. SmNov 11, 2012
Rush Limbaugh is confused. He just can't understand why the Republican Party has so much trouble with blacks, Hispanics and women. Here's how he put it on his nationally syndicated radio show, channeling the way that a lot of conservatives are feeling after looking at the demographic breakdown of Election 2012: We have achieved, brilliant, highly accomplished African-Americans, blacks, Hispanics, you name it, throughout the Republican Party. They serve in office. Many of them ar ...
