I'm telling ya - the loons keep coming

Posted: Mar 9, 2012

It just gets weirder each day with some loon - (i.e. Gloria Allred).  What does she think this is Nazi Germany in America.  Granted what Rush said was wrong, but arrest him?  I'm sure all the slobbering haters foaming at the mouths like rabbid dogs will say, "yeah, arrest him.  He said someting we don't like, burn him,  burrrrrnnnn him" (in their oh so expert witch hunts as seen below).  But poor Gloria.  Maybe she does not realize we live in America.  Here in America there is the first amendment.  Guess she only think the first ammendment should be for whom she wants.  If she really is a lawyer that's a pretty stupid move on her part.

I wish Rush would have chosen better words.  I understand he was joking and it was for his ratings, but he chose poorly.   Luckily he apologized and the stories are finally dying down loke any other stories.  Life will move on.  People will find other things to go on a witch hunt for conservatives about.  But really Gloria...you should keep your mouth shut as your ignorance pours through.  You don't prosecute someone because they said something you don't like.  If they did the jail cells would be filled.

I'm just amazed that this is all that has been discussed for the past week. There are so many more things going on in the world that are so much more important than someone calling someone a slut. Iran is close to having a nuclear weapon, UN investigators now say they have the proof, and Israel is probably only months away from launching an attack, which I'm sure will then involve China and Russia, who are known to be Iran's biggest allies. Are we too far from being involved if that happens? Not to mention that the DOD is coming up with plans to get involved in Syria, if they can get "global permission," and Syria is known to have chemical weapons that they're not afraid to use. Is a no-fly zone going to work this time or will we be sending in troops? Here are two wars we could potentially become involved with in the next six months.

There is no "war on women" in the US. All you have to do is look at some of the countries in the Middle East where women aren't allowed to show thier bodies, aren't allowed to drive, are bought and sold like property, aren't allowed to divorce an abusive or cheating husband, and if they're raped, they're stoned to death. IMHO, we as women should be giving comments by ignorant men the attention they deserve - none. There are so much bigger things to be concerned over.

You add some perspective, for sure. Do I think Rush is unhealthy for people and other living things? Yes, I do. I also believe this thing has become too much of a political football, and we are giving it too much attention.

on the subject for the reasons mentioned. It seems like a supreme waste of time and the posts continue to degrade.

I am very concerned about the situations you mentioned. There is so much on every front, and I do believe that Obama has no ability to handle them. Obama is so incompetent it is frightening. I think Obama has mightly disrespected Israel. Ever since he took office, it seems as if there is an atmosphere of tension everywhere. Jobs have a net loss, gas more than double, Obamacare intruding on every aspect of our lives, complete disregard for our Constitution, inflation starting, TRUE unemployment stats are staggering (18%), Dodd-Frank costing us a fortune, debt spiraling out of control, looking more like Greece daily; and that is just a few issues on the domestic side. People screaming about "war on women" are so completely out of touch with what goes on elsewhere they should be embarrassed. Same goes for those with the "Rush Derangement Syndrome". They need to get a grip and then get a life.

Here's what concerns me most about Israel... - Zville MT

If we continue to try to talk Israel out of attacking and Iran does get a nuclear weapon, what exactly are we going to do about it? And won't we look bad for not doing anything to stop it in the first place, especially if they target the US (China has been selling them long-range missles which could reach the US)? If Israel does attack (which is most likely), they will expect us to back them. If we do, we get sucked into another war, something nobody in the US wants. If we stay out of it, we risk losing our closest ally and looking like we don't keep our word. We really look bad no matter what - Catch 22 (another good book!)
Israel is acutely aware that we can't afford yet - sm

another war, but they don't care, and they will bring it whether we can afford to help them or not. We have asked Israel to not bomb Iran, and they are giving us the finger.

How and why does Israel have nuclear weapons to begin with? Who can blame Iran for wanting their own nuclear weapon after what happened to their neighbors, Iraq and Afghanistan, and the constant threat from Israel that they will nuke Iran?

Can someone explain to me WHY Israel is our ally? What have they done for us lately? We still send them billions of dollars a year and provide them with weapons.

I am one American who thinks we have had enough wars and it's time for us to mind our own business.
Boy are you totally ignorant re: Israel - You need to get some history

You are so way off in your comments, it is actually sad to see someone so completely misinformed. OBAMA has been completely, totally disrespectful towards Israel and their leaders. Obama is so weak and such an incompetent leader, Obama can't be a patch on B. Netanyahu's butt. Can YOU explain why Israel needs Obama's blessing to DEFEND themselves against Iran (not to mention Russia and China backing up Iran), who has repeatedly stated their sole purpose is to eliminate every Israeli and Jew from the world? Only because they hate Jews - Have you ever heard of Hitler? Have you heard what Hitler did simply because he "hated Jews"? Sounds like that is okay with you. What is wrong with you? If you were faced with constant terrorism every single day of your life, in every single part of your country, never-ending, why would you be expected NOT to defend yourself against that? BTW - Israel has NEVER begun or started an attack on Iran; they have only defended themselves, trying to save the lives of their innocent citizens. What makes YOU think Israel needs "permission" from Obama, who has continually sided with radical terrorists? Obama has B. Netanyahu to "wait until after the election" before defending their own country because Obama did not want it to interfere with Obama's campaign plans. What a narcisist and heartless piece of garbage Obama is. My God, Obama's got his 3rd ranking official in the DOJ that is sympathetic to the terrorists and their cause. When are you people going to wake up and pay attention to something bedsides this board and lib rags? If you don't know why Israel is an ally of the USA, you really, really need to get a history lesson fast. Obama is out there kissing the A$$ of every radical Muslim leader, and they have repeatedly stated they want to kill every person in the USA - "what have they done for us lately"? "Minding your own business" has not served you well and left you so totally devoid of any foreign policy knowledge it is pitiful. I really feel sorry for you.
Israel and US both have nukes and WMDs. - Not an honest broker in sight.
[ In Reply To ..]
They wouldn't have nukes had we not been sending trillions in aid to them over the years. Might explain why Iran is requesting Israel to open IT'S facilities to the public scrutiny of the inspection teams. Sounds reasonable under the circumtances. It also might help explain why President Obama is wanting to exhaust all diplomatic channels. The US is the only Western power bankrolling the occupation. We would be on our own should we decide to back Israels's latest saber rattling. No coalitions, just unilateral involvement. Europe can't afford involvement any more than the we can.

It's refreshing to see a US leader with the cajones to stand up to the bloodthirsty war criminals Israel calls it leaders. It's not too much to ask for them to at least honor their own previous commitments, stop building settlements, restore previously agreed upon borders and stop the occupation. A harder line with Israel would go a long, long way in restoring some semblance of respect for the US throughout the region that was pretty much decimated by Ws deadly policy disasters.

Time for Israel too cut the umbilical cord and stand on its own in it's determination to declare war and destabilize the entire region.

Unfortunately, your sad attempt at what you might view as humor seems to hide thinly veiled contempt for Jews. No one mentioned the Bible other than you. Try starting with American history - Have not seen you post anything that indicates you are aware of it. After you get up to speed, you should then concentrate on the holocaust to understand what Jews actually had to deal with in all countries. You may also want to read Hitler's biography; quite an eye opener, but not for the faint of heart (heart-felt compassion does not seem your strong suit). After you get through that, try reading the Israeli accords and how they became a sovereign country. Then, try reading the the history of the region where their country exists. If you have stomach for more, try reading what the surrounding countries have professed about Israil for decades and the constant strife Israelis are faced with daily.

Will bet you are the "oh so tolerant lib/prog" and worship at the altar of Obama. You can smell them a mile away - and their stench is not pleasant.

Obama is not incompetent, he just does his job quietly and efficiently and does not toot his own horn every time something happens whether he had something to do with or not, like another President i might name. Look at the incredible disaster that HE inherited. Even though he did not create this mess, he apparently now 'owns' it because Republicans have to make him look guilty and irresponsible in order for them to win. Jobs do NOT have a net loss- do your research, don't just read the blogs. Gas has gone up but Obama is working on lessening our dependence on it which is something many presidents before him could have done but they had their hands too deep into the pockets of the lobbyists. Obama helped bring the American made car industry back and that is not a small thing. He also brought all our soldiers home from Iraq- if that had happened in Dubya's term he would be on Mount Rushmore right now, even though he was the one who put us there to begin with. If you think Obamacare has intruded on our lives go to a local emergency room any day or night of the week and count the uninsured who can't be seen anywhere else. Obama has quietly stood up for Americans and done his job with dignity and does not feel he has to be fawned over for doing it. He is looking at the big picture and he is taking care of what he said he would take care of and by the end of his second term he will hopefully have been able to clean up the disgusting mess left for him in the first place. The unemployment and the recession belong to BUSH. The off-the-map deficit belongs to BUSH. Outsourcing of jobs belongs to BUSH. America's unpopularity with the rest of the world? BUSH. Lets give this guy a break and let him do for us what he has wanted to do and has been doing from the start. He has the common sense to offer tax breaks for bringing jobs back to America, not outsourcing. Even his own supporters are too ignorant to realize how much he has truly done, he has gotten no credit for any of it, yet he does it because he cares. Sure i wish he had done some things different- i wish he had punished the banks for their fraudulent and illegal behavior. I wish he had prosecuted the war crimes that happened in our last administration. But for the first time in almost a decade it feels like we have some hope and that our country can possibly be reunited and we CAN have fairness and justice for all. Anyone who doesn't want that is either crazy or one of the 1 percent. I find it interesting that when Dubya was president and was blatantly and systematically bringing us into ruin, hardly anybody batted an eye. We protested the war, but nobody really reacted to the fact that he was practically daring us to impeach him. Now that we have a president who is just doing his job, without a PR firm, suddenly the lunatics come out of the closet- the tea partiers, the birthers, good Lord, you would think we were under Nazi rule the way people go on. All i have left to say is- we gave YOUR idiot 8 years, how about giving our idiot 8 years too.
Sorry, but you are the one who is misinformed - Poster you replied to was correct
[ In Reply To ..]
The only thing Obama is competent at is following orders. How do you know he does his job quietly and efficiently. Are you there sitting in the white house with him. No. Unfortunately for him his lack of experience has shown through.

Unemployment is on the rise. Every time we turn around some company is laying off thousands. What do these people have to look forward to. Nothing. There is no work. Students going through school racking up huge student loans for what. There is no work for them. Foreclosures on the rise. Jobs going overseas. But his buddies in wall street and CEOs, etc getting richer off of his back. Then there is the spendulous that did nothing to create jobs (permanent jobs that is). The spendulous put money in the pockets of the politicians and their friends.

You are too quick to blame the previous administration for everything. Granted there was a lot wrong, but you ignore it continuing. He does have a choice ya know. He is suppose to be looking out for the welfare of the country and the people in this country. He is not.

There are so many topics to touch on this post would be too long, but reading your post you have just wrote the beginning of a romance novel. However, you need to take the blindfold off and look at what is happening in our country. You have been brainwashed into believing that if you don't adore, swoon, and drool over his presence then you are the enemy (Obama's own words). You've even been brainwashed into believing that if you did vote for him, but are finding out the truths and do not agree with every thing he does then your ignorant. Please tell me you did not actually write that for everyone to see. If so the ignorance goes no further. He had done more to divide the country than in the last 40 years. All the steps we made to move forward we have gone backwards. My MIL adores him. She will argue with us up and down on issues, but even she (who is low income) admits that things are not better. She also told us that his agenda (and she specifically said) to make the country a socialist government is good for the country and she wishes people would stop talking about it like its something bad.

You are trying to blame the faults of Obama on Bush. Yes, granted he got a mess when he took office. However, and you need to open your eyes and ears and listen. That time is over. Obama was going to fix the mess, he was going to make it better. HE HAS NOT. What part of that don't you understand. Things are not better. Three years later (not overnight - more than 1095 days later nothing) nothing to improve. That is NOT Bush's fault. What world do you live in. Blaming Bush for the deficit ended when he left office. Obama has tripled it. That is not Bush's fault no matter how bad you want it to be. Continuation of wars, starting news wars (without approval that is), bailing out other countries, politicians getting pay raises (behind closed doors), unemployment benefits for people who have lost their jobs under Obama. That's all Obama's fault. NOT Bush. Outsourcing of jobs under Bush's term YES Bush's fault. Outsourcing of jobs under Obama's term, Obama's fault. What part of that don't you understand. If you are going to blame everything that is happening under Obama's regimen and everything bad that will happen in the future on Bush, then you need to blame all the bad stuff that happened under Bush's regimen on the previous president Clinton. You don't get to blame everything bad that a democrat president does and is responsible for on a republican. It doesn't work that way.

Oh yes, America's unpopularity. When Bush was in, yes I would say him. But the continued unpopularity, hey, guess what? We have Obama to thank for that. Did you see the news headline of the guy throwing his shoe at the picture of Obama? Not Bush Obama.

There is no hope. The only hope that the country has is that another person will be elected and get out from under the democrat regime. I'm tired of the same old worn out excuses "he can't do everything over night ya know" (and yet it's 3 years later (not overnight) or "it's Bush's fault". Those excuses are now old and outdated and they don't work anymore. So, no there is no hope for the country for the first time in over a decade. We haven't had hope since before Bush Sr. While Clinton was a nice guy he didn't give the country much hope. Bush Jr did give me some hope and finally after 8 long years of suffering under Clinton's regime life was better. Finally started building a savings (as small as it was), taxes went down so we could afford some more stuff. Life got better. His second term not so much. It went downhill from there, and now since the current love of your life is in that downhill slope has become a cliff and we're falling faster into the hole than you'll ever admit.

Our country has become more divided since he's been in office. Sure his campaign speech was nice "I'm the only guy" (they all say that) "that can bring people together. That will work on both sides of the isle". However, once elected he's done more to divide the parties, telling people in his speeches that the republicans are the enemies. That was one of those big what the ___ moments. He doesn't bring the republicans in on the meetings they need to be in on and closes the door. Coercion and bribery is a big part of this administration. Tells other countries that the American people are greedy and selfish. Slowly day by day there is some new Nazi tactic that is being used to erode our country.

Yeah, what about those war protesters who were so openly protesting when Dubya was in office. Obama comes in continues the war and creates new ones (without going to Congress to boot - something ya'all were screaming about with Dubya not doing, but ya'll are okay with Barry doing it). Were are those protesters...Silence. The Patriot Act that Bush signed and ya'll screamed and ranted about that. Candidate Barry said he would not sign it. Mr. Barry once elected signs it...and the silence is so great it can be felt.

Then you've got the poor little souls who don't know anything else than to call others names. If someone disagrees with any policy going on, or any other issue they are called all sorts of nasties (birthers, ect). Oh but guess what....those same people you call "birthers" who all they've ever asked for is to see the real bc that has never been provided. Not the forged one or the photoshopped one. Yet ya'll were out there screaming about McCain's birth certificate or Dubya's time in the service.

Good Lord, people do you not see what is happening to our country. Your perfectly happy with our country becoming a socialist nation as long as a democrat rules over you, but if its a republican ya'll be the first to be up protesting dictator off with his head.

So good Lord, you would think people want communism the way people go on.

So, all I say is he doesn't get 8 years because Dubya was in 8 years. And it would serve you well not to call any president an idiot. They all the do the job the best they can and take directions from their boss. If you want to think that then keep it to yourself. But now this is not tit for tat. Dubya got 8 years so Barry gets 8 years. No, you see we have something here called elections and they happen every 4 years. Not every president gets re-elected. Time will tell soon enough if he'll be put back in power or if they want someone different in there. But no, you don't keep someone in who is failing and who is turning the country into what Nazi Germany was because just because the previous president was in their for 8 years. That's not how our political system works and if your young and don't know how the systems works there are plenty of website where you can learn, but if your an adult well then good Lord you should know that.

I wish Obama would have been a better president. I have always liked Biden when he was a senator, and I used to listen to Obama before he was president in the senate and would be part of a group of people asking questions to someone who was testifying. I thought he was a good senator. I wish he would have stayed as a senator. Throwing someone who is not qualified in to be president has proved disastrous.

Personally I'm glad the RL thing is settling down. You are totally right there are more important things going on in the world. In fact I am one who wrote below that we need to move on. I just pulled up my headlines and saw Allred wants someone arrested for what they said. I don't agree with what a lot of people say, but no grounds to arrest them (and that would be for anyone).

I also agree there is no war on women here. Every time I hear that I roll my eyes and think about the other countries where it really is happening. So much to worry about right now. The economy, foreign happenings, unemployment, rising prices of gas, higher food costs and when is someone going to fix the economy. I don't care who fixes it. If Obama fixes it that's great. If a republican or independent or liberaterian fixes it that's great too. I don't care who fixes it it just needs to be fixed. Just found out yesterday one of my family members lost their house. They've been living there for 23 years and had 5 days to get out. Another one of my family members lost his job. It's scary scary times. I don't know what all the foreign affairs means. I think if everyone had nukes, then everyone would be on the same page weapons-wise in an area where one country is allowed to have nukes and that country's enemy is NOT allowed to have nukes. We know that Israel has nukes, even though they refuse to admit it, and that they will most likely attack Iran, AGAINST OUR WISHES, regarding our ability to help them.

It's all very bothersome and unnecessary, but unfortunately, the USA is getting closer to the NWO with every move they make, whether there's a Democrat or Republican sitting in the Oval Office.

spot on the only oppostional response available is to make a 180 turn away from them, refuse to acknowledge or address them, play the victim card, deploy diversion propaganda, engage boiler plate attack mode strategies to disparage and trivialize any and every opposing voice, viewpoint or idea, and mobilize blistering personal attacks with the filthiest language that can be mustered. No one has been a better commander-in-chief of those lock-step foot soldier battalions than Rush Limbaugh.

I do not endorse Maher's despicable displays of misogynistic attitudes toward women anymore than I do Limbaugh's, nor do I find either one of them entertaining or the least bit humorous. However, I do distinguish the following differences between the two.

Liberals and democratic supporters, spokespersons, pundits and leadership do not worship at his alter, expect him to articulate their various political messages, hang on his every word as gospel truth, subjugate themselves to him, depend on him to deliver votes of an entire wing of their party, nor do they fear fatal reprisals or career decimation should they publicly oppose or take issue with him, despite how morally correct or politically advantageous it may be to do so. He has little if no impact on the political persuasions of his adult late-night audiences, who turn to him to view his panel discussions which, for the most part, are laced with laughter, sarcasm, dark humor and penetrating irony and insight. Bill Maher does not even rival Stewart's or Colbert's barely perceptible political sway.

It is impossible to imagine his ever rising to the level of instigating controversies of such magnitude they ignite the sort of groundswell political movements Rush has managed "inspire" this time. It is of no consequence whether you understand this difference or not but is is apparent that, in this circumstance, the notoriety his adoring fans have conferred upon him and the power to influence they have handed over to him has worked against him in this particular setting. These constant invocations of Maher only serve to sharpen the focus already in place which Rush has turned onto misogyny and, more importantly, the realtime state political initiatives underway to undermine women's rights and reverse the progress they have made over the past 50 years. After all, it was those efforts Rush hoped to foster and protect when he unleased his vicious tirade against a unknown college co-ed he evidently found somehow intimidating. In the process, he unwittingly managed to endow her with instantaneous public recognition, and to intensify an ongoing national dialog on women's reproductive rights issues.

Maher did not thrust Limbaugh into the spotlight. He and his die-hard loyalists did that all by themselves. In fact, Maher has spoken out in his defense, more than likely as a FELLOW misogynist feeling the heat of inflammatory dialog and its relentless backlash. No matter how hard you try, it is unlikely there will ever come a day when Maher finds himself in the position to pay this steep of a price for his questionable "fame." If it makes you feel better to blast me for daring to weigh in on this, or to condemn Maher for expressing views he evidently shares with Limbaugh, be my guest, but keep in mind neither you nor I are in charge of public perception, a powerful social and politial force that has a mind and a life of its own.

for the provision of goods and services, creative enterprise, competition, wage labor, and the accumulation of wealth are bedrock principles of our capitalist system. It stands to reason the success of this economic system would be fatally compromised were these activities reserved for use by only select privileged segments of the population, such as those defined by partisan affiliation or upper tier income and earnings.

Even lowly authorettes are allowed to be compensated for their work. There are many websites out there offering pay schemes of various sorts for freelance writers. I doubt Ms Fluke will decide to do that for a couple of reasons. She impresses me as a person with principles. Despite the passion she has for gender causes, her style of advocacy so far has been through assuming selective leadership roles, working behind the scenes (until Rush pushed her into the spotlight), education by getting the information out there for public scrutiny, allowing support to build based on the merit of the issues, and working within existing legal and political systems. That has worked for her so far. I think she is thorougly capable of maximizing this newly developing avenue of media exposure, which most likely will be a brief departure for her, not a permanent shift in direction of management style. Given her chosen fields of academic studies, could be that public office is in her future. The media can be a best friend or worst enemy in that scenario, and I believe she leans toward the side of caution in that respect.

Though she has sought guidance from Anita Dunn's PR firm, and been encouraged to sue Limbaugh by Gloria Allred, I don't think she wants to BECOME either one of them. Can't say I blame her, considering the kinds of relentless attacks they endure from the right for being strong, respected, successful women in their chosen career specialties. Imagine how incensed they would be if Ms Fluke sued their Pharoah! Those types of distractions generate buckets of stress, are intensely time-counsuming and do not help much to advance her cause. She doesn't strike me as the type to give much thought to the possible advantage of the HUGE settlement her case would garner should it land in court, in terms of endowing foundations or other organizations focused on gender initiatives.

Too bad her parents can't do it, so I guess it will have to be left up to Karma to take care of the multiple counts of slander and libel for her.

okay, but just 3 things... - Just IMO

First, the first amendment does not give us the freedom to say anything we want, at anytime we want to anyone we want to say it to. Second. she is a lawyer and this is what lawyers do. Personally, I think she is a bit of a publicity hound but, still this is part of the legal process. It aint always fair and it aint always right. Thirdly, not enough people believe his "apology" was an actual apology, therein, lies, in part, why this goes on ad nauseum.

That Hillary Clinton is pond scum. But wait, no she's not. Pond scum doesn't commit crimes, except perhaps in science fiction movies. Pond scum doesn't sell access to the highest levels of government to the highest bidder...or to nations that abuse women systematically and perpetually. that DT is pond scum and you are still making excuses for him.  What does he have to do to make you realize what a low-life he is?  Is this the role model you want for your kids and grandkids - a POTUS who talks about how he tried to someone who was resisting him and how he tried to grab her by her ?  How far down does he have to go before you agree he is totally unfit for the presidency?     ...

Telling My FamilyDec 04, 2009
I've had a lesion growing on my arm since September and I took it to the doc, and it turns out is a basal cell carcinoma with elements of squamous cell, not yet biopsy proven.  Now, my background here is that my mother always felt I was a hypochondriac - her favorite saying was "you have more aches and pains than any other six kids!" so I'm always confused emotionally when it comes to health issues.  I don't want to be melodramatic, since, as MTs, we all know that this i ...

be on the lookout for republican trickery.  what with the stunts by the new govs in WI and OH immediately going after unions and the fallout from the disasterous NY loss over the Ryan plan, its pretty obvious the repub candidates are NOT going to say what they REALLY plan to do if elected.  Do not be lulled into complacency by their low-wattage personalities.  Sharks. sharks I tell you. What BP Isn't Telling You: Not Just An American Problem.Jun 21, 2010
By Jes Alexander on June 21, 2010 WASHINGTON, DC (Herald de Paris) - So much of the handling of this BP Oil Disaster (a name for this mess we are advocating as it does not downgrade the situation, since IT’S NOT A SPILL) has been left to BP, out of the hands of the international science community and away from US federal agencies, I thought I might remind you all of what might happen if this hemorrhaging of crude oil is allowed to continue much longer:  Think Gulf Stream. What I See As ComingNov 04, 2016
Whether you like the author or the paper it is from, this story is what I fear is happening to our country. I have had a sick feeling for the last few months as the election gets more and more aggressive and I know that our country will not be better for it after it is all said and done - no matter who wins on Tuesday. Just read it through without thinking about who you support or why.  Try to recognize that our country is being torn apart from threats that are being made about what will ha ...

This Is What I See Coming For WisconsinMar 17, 2011
I have copied and pasted something someone wrote that pretty much sums up Scott (slime) Walker's intentions.   Diane Ravitch has it in a nutshell. Of Scott Walker, she writes: He expects that over time, most public workers will stop paying dues, especially now that they have to pay more for their healthcare and pension benefits. And thus will he cripple, perhaps permanently, a perennial political opponent. If Gov. Walker succeeds, there will be no organized voice to oppose hi ...

Jesus Is ComingMar 28, 2010
Prophecies in those generations had not yet come to pass. As of this time, we have seen every prophecy come to pass except the very next event, which is Jesus removing the Church. This is the church age. The time span between the prophecies being written and then being fulfilled is remarkable and speaks mountains.  Genesis 49:10 was written in 1440 B.C. and fulfilled in 5 B.C. Isaiah 53 was written in 700 B.C., fulfilled in A.D. 33. Daniel 2 and 7 were written in 530 B.C., which b ...

Just Coming To This Realization...Sep 28, 2012
Something just struck me today.  I have a feeling that the truth about the two major candidates for president lies somewhere around the facts that Mitt Romney isn't as bad as his gaffes and appearances might indicate, and Barack Obama deserves a lot more credit than his opponents give him.   Disagreement has always been part of political discussion in this country, but I hate where our political climate has taken us--no one DARES to say anything good about "the other side."   ...

Coming To Their SensesJan 18, 2013
WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (TheBlaze/AP) – A suburban New York City newspaper has removed the names and addresses of residents with pistol permits from its website. Publication of the permit data following last month’s school shooting massacre in Newtown, Conn. produced a storm of outrage from gun owners. It also quickly resulted in a new state measure meant to protect permit holders’ privacy. The president and publisher of The Journal News Media Group announced the move Friday. Janet Hasso ...

Another one of the products of science that seem too amazing to be true: Researchers at MIT have invented the technological equivalent of Mexican jumping beans. The polymer sheets are specially designed to rapidly expand when they come into contact with water, and contract when they e ...
