Jesus is coming

Posted: Mar 28, 2010

Prophecies in those generations had not yet come to pass. As of this time, we have seen every prophecy come to pass except the very next event, which is Jesus removing the Church. This is the church age.
The time span between the prophecies being written and then being fulfilled is remarkable and speaks mountains.
Genesis 49:10 was written in 1440 B.C. and fulfilled in 5 B.C. Isaiah 53 was written in 700 B.C., fulfilled in A.D. 33. Daniel 2 and 7 were written in 530 B.C., which began in 605 B.C. and to be continued in the end times. Micah 5:2 written in 700 B.C.,fulfilled 5 B.C. Isaiah 40:3 written 700 B.C., fulfilled A.D. 30 (John the Baptist), Zechariah 9:9 written 520 B.C., fulfilled A.D. 33. Matthew 24:1-3 written A.D. 33, fulfilled A.D. 70. Matthew 24:9,14 written A.D. 33, which is being fulfilled throughout the current age.
The most remarkable prophecy is Daniel 9:24-26, which was written in 530 B.C. and fulfilled to the very day on March 30, A.D. 33.  This was the triumphal entry of Jesus 483 years (as stated in scripture) after a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem, Messiah the Prince will come.
What are the odds of even one of these being fulfilled perfectly? These are just ten of the hundreds of biblical prophecies that could be cited.
The people you need to beware of are the ones who try to put a date on the rapture. The angels don't even know when this day will be.
Fulfilled prophecy proves the reliability and veracity of the Bible. It proves that Jesus Christ is who He claimed to be---the Son of God, God in human flesh. It also proves that the prophecies in the Bible that have yet to be fulfilled will be fulfilled just as literally and exactly as the ones that have already come to pass.

Yes, the generations before us have thought they were in the end times when the Church would be removed. Every generation can relate to the signs in the Bible. I do believe God wants every generation to feel this way, as it makes you live each day filled with hope in Christ as if His return is imminent, which in turn makes you strive to live a more Christ-like and Christ-centered life. Sort of keeps you on your toes. Innocent

However, many Christians get confused and see the events during the Tribulation as fitting with the scheme of things now. This is not true. The stage is being set, that's for sure, but the events that will happen during Tribulation will be catastrophic and will be 100 times worse than the floods, earthquakes, etc., we're witnessing now, which every generation has witnessed themselves. Hence, the reason every generation feels they're in the end times, which they are to a certain extent. We have been in the end times from the time of Jesus' ascension until the Church is removed (the church age). Every generation leaves an imprint for the final act.

As of this time, we have seen every prophecy come to pass except the very next event, which is Jesus removing the Church. The time span between the prophecies being written and then being fulfilled is remarkable.

Matthew 24:9,14 written A.D. 33, which is being fulfilled throughout the current age.

The most remarkable prophecy is Daniel 9:24-26, which was written in 530 B.C. and fulfilled to the very day on March 30, A.D. 33.  This was the triumphal entry of Jesus 483 years after a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem, Messiah the Prince will come.

The people you need to beware of are the ones who try to put a date on the rapture. The angels don't even know when this day will be. Only our heavenly Father knows. Most of these people are kooks, and all they are doing is deceiving. All I know is it will happen as fast as you can blink once.

I had to copy and paste my first post because it wouldn't submit because of a "syntax error." Must be I inadvertently did it twice when I opened a new post.

I am trying to figure out why the heck you did it the first time...much less twice. I know that easter is next week...but is this really the appropriate forum to spout your lengthy religious beliefs? Please...give it a rest or post in a more appropriate forum.

I agree somewhat. I think of this forum as a place to discuss, not to preach or give sermons. "Faith" is also not a term that is exclusive to Christians.
But it is inclusive so I will post - on this board

This is absolutely the appropriate forum to spout religious beliefs. You need to be aware of what forum you are visiting before making such ridiculous statements.

I enjoyed your post. It was not preachy. It was factual. I wish I was as Bible knowledgeable as you. I know Jesus and the truth about Him makes a lot of people very uneasy, but I enjoyed your comments and I hope you post again soon.

Ditto - enjoyed your post also (sm) - dem

I concur with Secondwind .. your post was not preachy (and so what if it was, right?). Your facts were very interesting to me. I have studied Revelation extensively but have never heard the span of dates that you listed. Thank you for your informative post ... and please do post again. This FAITH board is not utilized nearly as much as it should be ! Peace and blessings to you all.

Thanks for posting and sharing with us. One thought that caught my eye was your statement that you do know it will be as quick as you blink your eye (or something like that). I would ask, how do you know that? not to argue your point, just curiosity on my part how one can make such a definitive statement when there is no way any of us know for sure, KWIM??

Anyways, good post & thanks again! I fee like a learned something today.

I was wondering exactly what kind of "faith" board this is. The poster, Catherine, in the Jesus is Coming thread felt this was the "wrong forum" for posting one's religious beliefs while another posterior in that thread says that this "faith" board is meant to be all inclusive meaning persons of all faiths can post their beliefs here. I guess I wrongly assumed that the use of the word "faith" meant Christianity as it is my belief that Christianity is the only valid belief system worshiping ...

I found this link to a very spiritual youtube presentation which really touched and amazed me.  I am not sure who the woman is that tells what she has seen and heard, but I cannot believe this is untrue.  When I consider how this nation and world have become, I can certainly understand why Jesus would have tears streaming down his face.  The hatred, violence, division, abuse, crime, and empty churches are things I never imagined I would live to see, but I have.  As a 4th grad ...

I have copied and pasted something someone wrote that pretty much sums up Scott (slime) Walker's intentions.   Diane Ravitch has it in a nutshell. And thus will he cripple, perhaps permanently, a perennial political opponent. If Gov. Walker succeeds, there will be no organized voice to oppose hi ...
