Blogger Urges 'Bullet for Obama' on Twitter

Secret Service investigating

Forell later backed off his call, telling DailyFinance: "I have no intent, desire or motivation to harm" the president, adding: "I can't imagine why you're interested in my recent tweets." He also added a tweet saying: "No good American would ever want to see something happen to our POTUS." Forell has operated a number of conservative blogs, including his current offering entitled "Barack Obama was an Electorate Mistake."

This is no worse than:

http://www.zombietime.com/zomblog/?p=621

Signs of:

"Kill Terrorist bomb their house, kill Bush bomb his f-- house"

"I'm here to kill Bush"

or how about the student who said - âI would like to shoot George W. Bush, because in my opinion he is the worst president ever. After that was accomplished, I would be known as a national heroâ

or the graduate student who posted online threats against Bush, the guy who threatened during a phone call to kill Bush, and the list goes on and on and on. How about all the protests in front of his house in Crawford and other areas with Cindy Shehan leading the way. The war was a very heated issue and so is the health debate.

Neither is worse or better than the other. Violence is always wrong, but for as many crazy people that say it against this president there were also against the previous president, and Bill Clinton, Bush Sr., Reagan, etc, etc, etc. It doesn't make it right, but its the hard truth about the position they hold. There is always someone who is going to be angry about decisions being made (both sides). Nutty people are found on all sides of the spectrum. You just gotta ignore it. I'm sure the secret service looks into all cases.

It is all bad, and I do not think the OP was - suggesting otherwise.

It has just gotting MUCH worse in recent months, and in particular with the entrance of the tea baggers. They are not only threatening violence, but are using racism and homophobia to do it, not to mention horrible treatment of people who are disabled. You are referring to specific threats against a sitting President, and while I think that is horrible, I think it is taking a step further to use descrimination against race, sexual orientation, or disability to further the cause. I do not recall the dems going that far. Like I say, what did happen I totally and completely agree is reprehensible behavior. I would not have shed a tear had Bush been shot but I would never, EVER wish it on anyone or suggest behavior like this from anyone else. However, your radio talk jocks and republican nut-jobs are actually suggesting this kind of thing and THAT is beyond anything we did. Both are worthy of some jail time as far as I am concerned, regardless of who is doing it, and there is NO excuse for it. That being said, these pubs, meaning those doing all that they can to stir people up to the point where they are acting like this frankly have crossed into "crazy" territory, it is not just a person here or there, but a group of people who are dangerous to others.

Are you upset about that? Did you even hear about it? Heck no, because all the media could talk about was accusations of racial epithets...no proof whatsoever, just the word of some race-baiting members of Congress, but that doesn't stop the progressives from labeling ALL the conservatives in America with that broad brush.
No, I do not think that is ok. Don't think it EVER - ASmom

okay to behave like that, but I still think the outright inciting of violence is the thing that makes this particularly bad.
Wise choice. Id have added Bush and those dweeb - GOPs from Utah to complete it, though.

There were no racial epithets or homophobic remarks. The videos say no such thing, I don't care how much you want to believe it. The TEA Party did a pretty good job at being civil throughout the weekend. You listen to the MSM too much, which spreads a lot of hatred, lies, propaganda, and are racebaiters.

Remember how horrible the left was when Bush was in office, a lot more left wing violence going on during that time period, REMEMBER. YOU SAYING YOU WOULDN'T SHED A TEAR IF BUSH HAD BEEN SHOT, SAYS A LOT ABOUT YOU.

And with that being said, the TEA Party is here to stay, get used to it. The only party that is leaving is the Dems 2010 and 0bama in 2012 back to Chicago or that little sleepy village in Kenya.
For the record, I heard about through Yahoo - and the remarks are there.
[ In Reply To ..]
Just because you refuse to admit that does not mean it did not happen. The left was bad but do not come even close to what we are seeing right now. If figures that you would choose to not see it. The tea baggers were not do not know or remember what civility is. As for Bush, as I said, I would not wish his death, I would even fight to make sure that he got health care as all Americans should. But there are many people that while I would think it was terrible that they died or were killed, I would not necessarily shed a tear over them. Bush is no exception, and the same would be true for you-so don't even try to dish out any BS that you would. As far as I am concerned, you and your tea bagger buddies are so far off of the reservation that you are dangerous, even more dangerous because of your denial. Just keep getting worked up over the right wing machine, keep listening to Michelle Bachman, Rush, Ann Coulter or who ever, just keep allowing yourself to be manipulated and used by them, but do not EVER try to even imply that I am somehow not compassionate.

I have had enough of you and yours. You know exactly what I meant about Bush and yet you decided to turn it, yet again, into a personal insult. My post was civil. I am taking a break from this forum and come back when people are hopefully regaining their sanity and concern for their fellow humans and there ability to talk without this personal garbage and constant hate machine constantly on full throttle.

We discussed things in a civil way. There was no hate mongering going on. Some of you have no intent except to stir the pot with your hate.

I've watched videos of the so-called slurs and spitting and didn't see any of the accusations being made against the tea party.

Don't forget, it's very easy for nut cases to infiltrate groups just to make one group or another look bad.

Oh, and by the way, why was the guy beaten by SEIU during a rally never kept in the news?
Thank you BT. Once again a good post from you - Anony2

I'm really getting tired of all the hatred being thrown around on this board with people calling the other party derogatory names (like the one who said republicans are like Nazi's). I'm seeing outright lies posted here as though just by them saying it it makes it true, but with no facts to back them up. I could say a ton of stuff I would like to be true, doesn't mean it is. I would really just like all the labeling and name calling to end and get this board back to the level of civility it used to have. I think we've lost a lot of good people, because in all honesty who wants to come and be name called, etc. I have more important things in my life to do than come here to be insulted and bashed-n-trashed as others have been too.

I don't expect to get all my news here, but there used to be a time where I would see links to articles that I wouldn't see anywhere else, and that was nice. If people disagreed with the article they would say so, but kept it to the content of the article with what they disagreed with. Now its to a point where the poster is called names and if the person replying doesn't like an article they'll say it's not credible, its written by this wing or that wing, etc.

I'm not sure if the moderator is reading the board or not, but this board has gotten so bad I wish she would put a message out for all to to end with the name calling and labeling and just keep it decent and about issues. I would never talk to my family members or friends who I disagree with this way, and would be nice for other people to have that same respect.

I just wish people would get along and be respectful to other posters. Disagreeing with politicians and procedures, etc. is one thing, calling other people idiots, dimwits, ignorant, stupid and all the other names I see here is just juvenile.

I know I can count on you to keep it real here and not get personal, and there are people on this board I disagree with like Colleen and Nikki and a few others that also are respectful even though we disagree, but at least we are all civil to each other. I just wish things would go back the way they used to be.

Shame on you for suggesting - see message

such a crock. No where at any of the tea parties are they threatening violence. They are peaceful demonstrations and you are trying to instigate something that is just not there. You have no proof. Please provide video showing that these people are trying to instigate violence. Show me the video of the tea parties treating disabled "horrible". You have no proof. Please show me the proof where tea partiers are threatening violence. (yes I said that twice in case it wasn't understood the first time).

http://sweetness-light.com/archive/seiu-thugs-beat-up-town-hall-protester

The violence I see are the SEIU members and liberals who are the ones who beat people up at events. The black panthers that come out and intimidate people. The liberals who show up at these events trying to shout down anyone with a difference of opinion.

http://joytiz.com/2010/full-on-assault-on-tea-partiers-were-winning/

And the liberals are the ones who posed as Nazi's and KKK at the tea parties.

When you start throwing out the terms republican nut-jobs, etc, I'll quote a liberal who posted below - about using terms like that - when the word "is clearly being used as an insult or accusation, we know that the poster is likely a lean-on-the-panic-button knee jerk repub (this case liberal) who is using these words to incite us to respond".

I can't even comment on specifics in your post. You are so all over the board trying to throw in all these buzz words. Repeating something over and over does not make it true no matter how much you want it to be. That is a very clear Saul Alinsky tactic - try to divide your opponent, marginalize and demonize them in society and attack.

So you wouldn't have shed a tear if Bush had been shot? What a kind-hearted thing to say. But bet you'd be crying buckets of tears if anything happened to Obama. God forbid anything should happen to either of them. I pray for both of their safety. It's hard to believe there are people out there with this thinking. I'm sorry but I would cry if ANY president was shot. What a horrible horrible thing to say about a person. I cried when President Obama's mother passed away.

I don't listen to radio talk show because I work. You are bordering on mass hysteria when you start talking like you are suggesting that they are suggesting violence. Not only is that mass hysteria it is a flat out lie. Show me one video, one article showing that the radio or TV people asking/suggesting the people become violent. That is the definition of insanity.

I understand you will never be neutral in a situation. You will always think the liberals are angels and the republicans are fire breathing demons, but a reality check is really needed here. You might want to stop listening to those same radio talk jocks and democrat nut jobs you listen to with their brain washing techniques on your side. I see it's really working, and that is what makes them so dangerous.

All I'm saying is every president has received death threats. No they shouldn't be getting any no matter what party they belong to. For as many nut jobs you think there are on the conservative side, there are equal on the liberal side. You will just never see it.

But to come out and say you wouldn't shed a tear if one of the American presidents was shot...I'd shed a tear if all if them were. I still cry thinking about Lincoln being shot and JFK. What a horrible thing to say.

Shame on you.

Resorting to name calling and labelling... - Anony2

[ In Reply To ..]
You are doing your party a great disservice and not helping people to get along.

I will post what democrat said on this board below... that whenever a word (in this case "Nazi") is clearly being used as an insult or accusation, we know that the poster is likely a lean-on-the-panic-button knee jerk" (liberal) who is using these words to incite us to respond. It is a word that is used over and over by the (liberals), just like the terms (racists and haters), and so therefore you have little to no effect on us. You just use it to push a button or two.

Don't know where you get the "hate" thing from. But that's just one of those words you like to throw around. However, you need to look no further than your own party for the "party of hate" (i.e. your very own post).

I read an article that stated:

"The Liberals, as a group, are very unhappy people. This is because being Liberalism is all about hate. You see, Conservatives are often characterized as being prejudiced bigots, while the Liberals are known for their trademark ability to embrace anyone and everyone's point of view. Except, of course, anyone who disagrees."

Not all liberals of course. Just people who posts something like you did.

You sure don't like the terms communist, fascist, and socialist associated with your party, but you'll be the first call conservatives Nazi's, racists, haters, etc.

It would be a welcome relief if everyone stopped labeling the other party derogatory names. Whether or not you believe it why don't you just keep it to yourself and stick to issues. There are a lot of democrats who are good and there are a lot of republicans who are good. How about dropping the labels which appears you are only doing it to start a fight, and stick to the issues.

Your post does a serious misdeed to the good people in the democrat party.

I got to wondering once again what is behind some of the behaviors we see on a lot of forums, so I went looking. (The discussion on skinhead groups can be skipped over, if desired, with the actual 7 stages explained below.) It was the last section, though, on how indulging in hate tends to play out ...
