Both sides, i.e., can't sign up vs. can and have signed up. If you have successfully signed up, have you had a chance to actually use it, and if so, how did that go? ;

you don't have to sign up through healthcare.gov. You can go there to get a quote, then go to the website of the insurance company and apply directly. For instance, mine said my best choice was a bronze package through BC/BS, so I went directly there. The only reason to apply through healthcare.gov is if you want the government to help you pay for it.

However when it does come time to use it, this will affect people and many of them have any idea what will hit them.

I do not understand why so many are all upset. I still have the same insurance, same doctor, slight adjustment in that now more things are covered, a little rate change--which happens every year. Obamacare is not affecting those on Medicare or people covered under employers policies. It is for uninsured people, independent contractors, hopefully small business (I think there is a delay here?) I do not understand the big deal.

I did hear the CEO of the Chamber of Commerce saying that when they shell out big bucks to their chosen (Republican, of course) candidates their mantra is going to be "No fools on our ticket."

And lately I've thought the new mantra was "I can't wait for November" since I've heard that so often.

Yes, I'm at the point where if the GOP would weed out the TP (and their mantra of yearning for what they perceive how the forefathers planned for the 21st century, of course excluding amendments 11-27), that would be a victory.

Thank you for posting this. I did some Googling and I'm finding evidence that further reinforces the GOP's distaste for the TP, deeming them the fools they are.

There is no place for such extremism and narrowmindedness and finally the GOP is recognizing it.

I don't want the GOP to take over the Senate, but if it is sans TP, at least maybe we can get back to serving the people, including those covered under 11-27.

I can't wait for November either!! As I've posted before, the primaries will provide a plethora of entertainment for the Dems.

That's like asking if you like the rain or sunshine. Each has a purpose. Some people need medicare and social security, but not everyone, and everyone should not be forced into a program they have no control over where politicians and bureaucrats and not you or your doctor make choices on how much health care you get based on your life years.

No on universal health care, yes to an alternative system.

To me she/he is asking if we have had a chance to use it (i.e. actually physically going to a doctor/hospital). What I was saying was that since it is only the the 8th I doubt very many people have actually had a chance to go out and use it.

I posted headlines which is going to directly affect the quality of health care that we will get (or not get).

After more than 40 years of MT'ing, I have lost 80% hearing in left ear and 10% in right ear. This, according to doc, is definitely due to constant sound assault on my ears for all of these years. I now need dual hearing aids; the left ear to compensate for severe hearing loss and the right ear to prevent hearing loss. I will be getting them within the next week. Hi, all. I was diagnosed last year with hearing loss and this year went back for test and there is a significant drop. They are doing a couple of tests to rule out Meniere's Disease at the end of this month. No matter what, I am going to have to get something to help me continue in this field or go with another job (nursing, coding, etc.). I do believe that we need to bring in more tax revenue. I agree with the pres on that one. However, I don't believe raising the taxes on the rich is the answer. That alone still will not cover the amount of money we are spending. I also think that the initial step in bringing in more tax revenue is to close loopholes in the tax code.
