Fascism 101 --shut down the press

Arrested press for asking question. Removed cameras from press meeting Arrested woman for laughing at Sessions'confirmation hearing. Are you worried yet? If not, you are one if them.;

I Guess That Makes Bill Clinton a Fascist, Too - vin

See below.

There is a campaign now to popularize "Trump" and "fascist" - in the public mind. They

[ In Reply To ..]
don't teach liberty and law or extensive history anymore in what we called "government" public schools.

I think that if we keep hitting those who try to discredit us by calling us these names with the truth of what those names mean, it will defang their efforts to delegitimize us.

The word fascism now has no meaning except in so far as it signifies "something not desirable."

Not arrested for asking questions - For pushing past SS sm

The reporter wasn't arrested for asking questions. He was arrested because he was trying to push through the Secret Service.

NYT article linked.

Other reporters were there asking questions too. None of them were arrested. Why not?

I'm beginning to worry about the people who are worried.

Calling out fake news is not shutting down - the press. In fact, many "reporters"

[ In Reply To ..]
have sided with our enemies.

Bernard Shaw who used to be at CNN was one. They say they can't "take sides" so to remain "objective"

Now they just lie. They don't hide it anymore.

"Arrested press for asking question" That's not exactly the truth - Truthhurts

LIE #1: The same day the Russian envoys visited, American reporter from Public News Service, Dan Heyman, was arrested after asking Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price about health care legislation. Six days later, the New York Times reported that during a meeting between Comey and Trump, the president told Comey he should consider IMPRISIONING REPORTERS WHO PUBLISH STORIES CONTAINING CLASSIFIED INFORMATION (my enphasis).

According to Heyman’s account, he waited for Price to come into the building and then reached past those accompanying Price (SECRET SERVICE AGENTS-my emphasis) with his phone and repeatedly asked his healthcare question, adding that a number of other reporters wanted to bring up the issue of pre-existing conditions.

He said capitol police at some point “decided I was just too persistent in asking this question and trying to do my job and so they arrested me.” The event concluded with a press conference at the end of Price's visit, which Heyman reportedly could have attended but did not.

According to the criminal complaint by the capitol police, Heyman was "aggressively breaching the secret service agents to the point where the agents were forced to remove him a couple of times from the area walking up the hallway in the main building of the Capitol. The defendant was causing a disturbance by yelling at Ms. Conway and Secretary Price.”

"Removed cameras from press meeting" Not exactly true - Truthhurts

Cameras are still there, just not turned on.

No wonder. The questions asked are duplicated over and over again. It's a waste of time to spend an hour or more answering the same questions. The briefings were held so the public could see what goes on...well, they saw stupidity by the press most of the time with their duplicate questions and "gotcha" crap. These press briefings were not always held in public view.

During most of the nineteenth century, newspaper reporters concentrated most of their government coverage on Congress and its activities. Presidents OCCASIONALLY granted interviews or their secretaries might speak more often with favorites, but there was no specific group assigned to cover the White House. President William McKinley later allowed reporters to work inside at a Second Floor corridor table, and his secretary began a long tradition of more-or-less regular press briefings that is still a primary source of news to this day, but up until C-Span, they weren't televised, so the public had to depend on the reporters for truth.

Who cares about press briefings every day when they keep asking the same questions, getting the same answers, but never give up and ask questions about POLITICS and what is happening in Congress? I sure don't and I stopped watching the briefings after a month of asking the same questions.

"Arrested woman for laughing at Sessions'...." - Truthhurts

[ In Reply To ..]
Yes, that's true BUT not laughing out loud during the introduction of Attorney General nominee Jeff Sessions at the latter’s Senate confirmation hearing on 10 January 2017. She was prosecuted on CHARGES OF DISORDERLY CONDUCT AND PARADING OR DEMONSTRATING ON CAPITOL GROUNDS, both misdemeanors.

Fairooz was found guilty on both counts, the New York Times reported, although jurors who spoke anonymously to Huffington Post said IT WAS HER BEHAVIOR WHEN ASKED TO LEAVE, not her laughter, that resulted in the conviction. She faces up to a year in prison.

It was not the first time that the longtime MEMBER OF the activist group CODE PINK was arrested for disturbing the peace in Washington, D.C. She was PREVIOUSLY JAILED FOR DISORDERLY CONDUCT AND ASSAULTING A POLICE OFFICER in October 2007 after covering her hands with fake blood and DISRUPTING a Congressional hearing attended by then-U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, among other incidents.

People like her are nuts and need to be arrested and charged, especially if it's not the first time disturbing the peace and using other means to disrupt hearings. If they keep up this crap, ALL hearings should be closed to the public and that would be a shame but they can't keep disrupting the processes of government.

Helping Your Kids Understand Fascism. Dec 30, 2016
fascism is. Literally, it is a system where government runs businesses without owning them by threat of governmental force. Google and college professors like to liken it to right wing, but in this sense right wing refers to the traditional European political spectrum, not conservatism. I first explained that fascism (national socialism) is just another form of socialism. Internationalist socialists bitterly reject this idea, but it is the truth. Internationalist socialism and communis ...

Are Republicans Really Going To Shut DownFeb 23, 2015
With their terrible concern with ISIS and the handling of terrorist activities, they will risk the shut down of DHS? This just doesn't make sense. Republicans are willing to risk the security of the U.S. homeland to make a political point on immigration. Once again, the Republican party is divided on their own approach. Obama Should Keep His Arrogant Trap Shut.Mar 08, 2010
There's really just one conclusion to be reached, which is that the majority of Americans are coming to fear and hate Obama. Since then, it's dropped even further to -19. Now, I don't know if you realize it or not, but that puts Obama right smack dab in the middle of Bush territory when the financial cri ...
