What would happen if the Federal government shut down

Interesting to see what would-be happen if we had a long term shutdown. Scary!

I have often wondered that myself. The national debt would have to be paid. So would the feds go to the states to get money, the states to the cities and counties? Then what would happen if the money was no good. Wouldn't the local governments still demand property taxes; money we would not have. So then would they confiscate our property to pay the states to pay the fed, so the feds could pay off their national debt with solid collateral, our personal property. Scary scenario, but what really is the collateral for the national debt? It looks like it would be us. Or, maybe they would turn over our national parks and those illegally declared heritage sites to the Fed Reserve to pay off the the debt to them and then maybe pay off the countries we are in debt to with the balance of anything solid left, our private farms, businesses, slave workers, and natural resources.

Maybe the ILLEGAL ALIENS will help. - Instead of taking.

I believe the cons outweigh the pros.

The Republicans have made it well known that they want to do away with the minimum wage.

That's no big deal for illegal aliens because they're accustomed to working for VERY low wages, while they all live as roommates in a small house, maybe 10 to 12 per month.

So without a minimum wage, these people would be hungry to work for $2.00 per hour, with no benefits, etc.

Secondly, the Republicans want to do away with the Affordable Care Act, so these "aliens" won't have to access to any health insurance -- except for Medicaid, which pays for everything.

As has been present for a couple of decades now, the middle class is and has been slowly disappearing, and with the "aliens" doing ALL the minimum wage jobs, where does that leave the middle class.

Thirdly, these workers would be entitled to food stamps, Medicaid, etc., paid for by taxpayers like you and me, while our own citizens just wait for a morsel or two dropped in their direction.

We are well on our way to abolishment of the middle class and the creation of caste system -- the very, very poor and the very, very rich.

If the government would spend its time on IMPORTANT subjects, like our infrastructure, etc., that would create some well-paying jobs for middle class people. But nobody is interested in the fact that bridges can and sometimes DO just collapse because of negligence in caring for these structures.

A one-world order is what politicians want, and this is an endeavor that's been ongoing for some time.

This country simply CANNOT afford to give jobs to foreigners instead of Americans, because those low wages are accompanied by free medical care, food stamps and all the other perks afforded to them.

I believe the beginning of the end began sometime around NAFTA, when they began to outsource jobs. WE, MTs, of all people have already swallowed that bitter pill.

I'm sick of it all.

The government, once again, prefers to give aid to foreigners instead of its own citizens. I'm tired of all the money we spend on Israel and other nations around this world.

We need to take care of our OWN people first, not foreigners.

Children going hungry in the big, bad, "excellent" United States of America is something all Americans (politicians) should be ashamed of, and we're well on our way to becoming a third-world nation.

Since Angelfood Ministries got shut down I don't know what to do. I support myself, my family, my elderly mom and it was a blessing having Angelfood boxes to count on.
