on July 2. He said as much as 2014 angered the President, this one will surpass it. Can't wait. See you there. Go and see it, but see 2014 first unless you're scared to.

Why would anybody be "scared" to see a movie? It's a bunch of pseudo-psychological babble, in my opinion, but nothing to be scared of at all.

It just doesn't make any kind of sense at all to me for this guy to say that Obama has a hatred toward America because he didn't spend the first 17 years of his life here when the facts show that Obama was born in Hawaii and moved to Indonesia when he was around 5 or 6 and moved back to Hawaii when he was 10. He basically spent 4 years out of this country yet D'Souza claims 17. I guess Hawaii doesn't count as America to him. D'Souza himself spent his first 17 years in Mumbai, India, but I think it would be making a giant leap to accuse the guy of not loving this country.

He also claims Obama has a hatred of this country because his father was anti-colonialist. Might as well say George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, the Adams family, Benjamin Franklin, etc., hated this country too because were it not for their anti-colonialism or dislike of aspects of being under the king's rule, the country might not exist. I'm sure there's quite a list of people who have issues with aspects of British colonialism, but I'm not sure how you can make the leap that those people would have some kind of anti-American doctrine when the Founding Fathers advocated independence and decided against imperialism themselves and thought people should not be ruled by tyrants and dictators.

I'm guessing the new movie is more of the same where facts and common sense don't seem to enter into the film, and I'm just not that easily parted from my money.

It wasn't colonialism they objected to, it was - taxation without representation. NM

I went to the movies today, a new one that just came out about an overweight teenager from Harlem who was sexually abused by her father and mentally and physically abused by her mother. Spinoff of a thread in Politics. Does anyone read Dean Koontz? I *loved* him in the 80s, and even though he's become kind of formulaic, I still have a soft spot for him. Real people and some animation. The Disney movie company just keeps churning out wonderful movies. I went to the show because I love bling of any kind, loved the color of Cate Blanchett's hair (really gold) and was totally amazed by the movie and loved it. I consider it more of a chick show, my friend and her daughter went with me and we all loved it. Check it out for a really good show for kids as well as adults. ...
