I think we already knew this, but this might be worth watching.

Domestic spying by the NSA began in 2001 by order of GWB after 09/11 terrorist attacks. PRISM began in 2007 by order of GWB in order to further protect the country from terrorism.

Snowden joined the CIA in 2006 so I would not be too quick to assume that all roads lead back to just one POTUS.

Sad that we have so many people afflicted with this condition.

Sad indeed when one assumes everything is automatically blamed on one guy. - Pitiful condition indeed!

Nowhere in the link supplied by the OP does it say all roads lead back to Obama. The story said: "Also the filmmakers clearly inducate [sic] that all roads lead to POTUS, a fairly serious accusation."

The OP assumed incorrectly that this meant just one POTUS. This is a classic case of what happens when you assume. I'm sorry it doesn't fit the worldview that everything wrong in the country is Obama's doing, but the truth is that domestic data gathering by the NSA began in 2001 by order dated 10/04/2001 signed into law by the POTUS.

From "Bush's Law" by Eric Lichtblau:

"Twenty-three days after the Twin Towers fell, President Bush signed off on a secret eavesdropping operation so sensitive that even many of the country's senior national security officials, men and women with highest security clearances in his administration, knew nothing about it."

Some members of Congress knew. There were also whistleblowers that came forward during the Bush administration, it just didn't come to people's attention because conservative media defended it and weren't outraged when Bush authorized it. Bush put PRISM in place in 2007, and Obama continued it. Bush makes no apology for it, and when Snowden leaked it in 2013, Bush explained: "I put that program in place to protect the country. One of the certainties was that civil liberties were guaranteed... I think there needs to be a balance, and as the president [Obama] explained, there is a proper balance."

You are entitled to your own opinion, but facts are facts. For those interested, there's a timeline of NSA domestic spying under the link. For those who just want to live in the bubble where everything is Obama's fault, well, you may not like what the facts reveal, but the truth will set you free.

So Obama has had plenty of time to stop the whole thing. I'd say he used it more than Bush.

Get that straight. Obama is not God.

operation gets a complete pass, yet the guy who kept it in place is to blame for it and is a horrible bad person akin to Satan for not shutting the whole thing down. LOL

Unlike conservatives, liberals do not generally conflate religion with politics. So telling a liberal that a president, any president, is not God is pretty darn hilarious because it merely serves as a reminder that conservative minds generally do actually conflate religion with politics and apparently think we do too, when nothing could be further from the truth. Get that straight. ROTFL

We don't think any president is the Antichrist like conservatives do. There have been so many presidents who were proclaimed by the far-right wing fringe to be the Antichrist, several of them still living, so 3 living Antichrists, one of them married to a future Antichrist. LOL

Oh, how ironic. Someone responds with facts - (dates, etc) and you respond with

people not accepting the "truth."

Do you see how that's ironic? If you really think about it?

Though it's highly entertaining to witness the bemusement of the benighted, please feel free to actually discuss political issues on the "Politics" board.

Edward Snowden Convinced NSA Coworkers To Give Him Nov 08, 2013
Let this serve as a warning to us too.  I know I've asked at least one IT guy helping me if he needed my password (to which he replied in a somewhat shocked but polite tone in the negative).  I feel bad for the "dupees" who lost their jobs because of Snowden, especially since I think I probably would have been just as easily duped. This is a transcript of the video someone pieced together of Limbaugh’s diatribe, linked below.  For those trying to float the argument in defense of Lush by bemoaning misogynist libs in the media and demanding they “own up,” I offer the following observation, but first let me state categorically that misogyny in the media in any form, regardless of who said what, where, when and why, is unacceptable.  As for why some is tolerated as “free speech”  an ...

Does Your Child Go To Any Movie You Do?Nov 08, 2009
I went to the movies today, a new one that just came out about an overweight teenager from Harlem who was sexually abused by her father and mentally and physically abused by her mother. This movie was rated an R. Several years back it would have not had that lax of a rating. No prude here but the movie was completely filled with the most vile language I have heard in a movie but on top of that simulated rape scenes of the young teen with the father being the perpetrator. I saw many, many familie ...

Kids! You start on a vacation and no more than 10 miles and they are asking when are we going to be there? I would like some ideas for my friends, nothing sexy, no bad language. Dean Koontz/Odd Thomas MovieJan 16, 2013
Spinoff of a thread in Politics. Does anyone read Dean Koontz? I *loved* him in the 80s, and even though he's become kind of formulaic, I still have a soft spot for him. I especially love the Odd Thomas series and I'm stoked about the upcoming movie. The casting is kind of (forgive me) odd, (Patton Oswalt as Big Ozzie? mmmkay) but I'm still shamelessly looking forward to it. I'd love to have seen James McAvoy as Odd, but I guess he's too old. ...

Real people and some animation. The Disney movie company just keeps churning out wonderful movies. I went to the show because I love bling of any kind, loved the color of Cate Blanchett's hair (really gold) and was totally amazed by the movie and loved it. I Just Watched The Worst Movie In My Entire LifeJan 06, 2010
I am so mad that I actually bought this movie because I heard so many people say how scary it it.  It was not scary at all...not one iota.  The movie is called "Paranormal Activity".  After watching it I got online and see it has won the Rotten Tomato award as did the actress and actor in it (if you could call them that).  It was slow, boring, and the acting was horrible.  Not the reactions one would expect if you have a demon in the house.  Her screaming was so hid ...
