The Pubs will have to come clean and admit that the Republicans, conservatives, and tea partiers are all cut from the same cloth.
"We have met the enemy and he is us." (Pogo).
And the democrats will have to come clean - Same thing

and admit that the Democrats, liberals, socialists, and communists are all cut from the same cloth.
Ditto on your quote.

I do not believe workers should be exploited by corporations, and I believe in giving a help up to people in need. I do not believe that makes me a communist, although I do embrace socialism and liberalism and am proud to be part of the movement that created the above additions to our great society.
In no way am I trying to distance myself like Republican Boehner is doing to the T-Party.
And this is what mainstream America thinks too. - good post
[ In Reply To ..]
It really boils down to common sense, not name-calling, and hardworking mainstream voters will be very invested in the topics you bring up, not meaningless rhetoric regurgitated by an extreme faction of the GOP.
Pot calling kettle black - in your post
[ In Reply To ..]
Maybe oxymoron is another term. You say "It really boils down to common sense, not name-calling". Then you go on to state "meaningless rhetoric regurgitated by an extreme faction of the GOP". While you didn't name call, you regurgitated meaningless rhetoric the left puts out.
MC, SS, public education, public transportation, National Parks, safe food and drugs, research - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
is not meaningless rhetoric, IMO. These are points, as are jobs, rebuilding the infrastructure, raising the minimum wage so taxpayers aren't held responsible for supporting full-time workers, and the list goes on.
Republican regurgitation is calling anyone who is in favor of the above socialists and communists.
Common sense is the issues are what people will want to be addressed not how many times they hear Democrats being called commies or socialist.

If the presidential pen keeps getting a lawless workout, I think we will see an even bigger surge in conservatism in this country. Last I knew, we were still a democracy. It SEEMS this president is arrogant and childish if he doesn't get his way. His seeming desire for autocratic rule will not go unnoticed.
I definitely agree. Pat Caddell (D) said he has become (sm) - Abby

abusive with his pen. The Tea Party will only get stronger if he keeps this up.
"Autocratic rule", since Congress refuses to work will be very welcome to voters who want - progress
[ In Reply To ..]
not stagnation.
His way is moving forward. Congress is doing nothing. They won't even move on immigration because it will hurt them politically.
And Obama's willingness to work while the Pubs in Congress sit on their hands will not go unnoticed for sure. Especially the minimum wage issue. This is something all Democratic candidates will have in their pocket.
You keep telling yourself that. - Maybe it will come true,
[ In Reply To ..]
but most people know that Obama is the obstructionist and then cries to the MSM when he doesn't get his way. Remember when he talked about transparency? It appears this is what he meant.
I don't think it's Obama who is crying. It's the American people. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
they really don't see much being done by Congress beside a lot of power struggles withing the GOP and they are growing weary of the broken record.
Why should we suffer because the GOP can't decide how "severe" they want to be when it comes to conservatism?
When they refuse to extend unemployment benefits to people looking for work?
When they want to prolong immigration reform because it might hurt them politically?
When they oppose raising the minimum wage because the 1% takers at the top who line political pockets oppose it? Which, I might add would help get people off public assistance and food stamps (paid for by taxpayers)? In other words, politicians endorsing billionaire welfare.
This affects real people. Americans are fed up and it's not with Obama.
Yes, we're crying because our country and its - Constitution are being shredded.

I was just curious if you thought Dems were shredding them - as well. nm

This is my opinion. I'm not going to defend it. Goodnight.
"Conservatives in Iowa and New Hampshire" LOL good - luck with that
[ In Reply To ..]
Obama won by a landslide, but he is still invalid to the Cons, so a "Conservative Hero's Welcome" is meaningless in the scheme of things.
But hey, happy y'all have something to look forward to!:D
Yes, but they're sick of buffoon politics! - Taxed Enough Already!
[ In Reply To ..]
There are even some liberals joining the TEA Party movement because they are afraid of the lawlessness by the IRS under the command of the wannabe autocrat.
Really? I haven't heard that. Do you have a link? - thx
[ In Reply To ..]
Emerge America was the only group "targeted" by the IRS that was found not tax exempt.
I'll give you IRS buffoonery by cutting corners, but both sides fell victim to searches for certain words in order to make it easier for IRS to determine if they were legal in claiming 501(c)(3).
I thought that was common knowledge.
I heard it on your favorite news station - about an hour ago.

You asked a question. I answered it. I was being facetious because I know how the left hates FOX, and when we provide links, a lot of the liberals don't like them and then deflect off topic because that's all they've got.
Apologize for what? I said I'd be happy to comment. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I don't get the hostility. I just said I'd comment. I wasn't being adversarial. I said I was tuning into a non-news outlet. Therefore, I'm not watching the news now, inferring that I may have missed something. But now you're saying you were be facetious? IOW, not serious about having a discussion. Got it.
I'm not deflecting. But did you read the (Fox) link in my other post? It relates to the topic.

Pierce of the Migration Policy Institute pointed to three past instances -- the banning of Chinese immigration in the 1880s, national origin immigration quotas and restrictions in the 1920s, and a brief 1980 halt of new visas for Iranian immigrants.
