What a difference a few inches on the forum make! A bit further down there was some gloating about a Republican who was under an ethics cloud quitting the House. ...and here we have this: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0310/33864.html I think that all of us, regardless of party, should start to ask ourselves where does this all end?;

Past history would lead me to believe there are plenty of people on both sides who need to be out of congress because ethics issues. Not politics, ethics.

Meanwhile, was there any investigation of Massa? I know the charges weren't proved but perhaps you can point us to some sort of evidence that these charges are taken seriously by someone. Links would be helpful if you can find any.

Seems you agree, too. The ethics violation wasn't proven against Dean either, but you were quite willing to accept the notion that he resigned to abort the investigation and not really to focus on the gubernatorial race, eh?

One was an ongoing investigation, the other an accusation. I could accuse you of all kinds of things but that wouldn't mean they were automatically true. Hope that helps clear it up ^^

Investigations on taxpayer dime usually are not launched in the absence of evidence. The House Ethics Committee was due to release their findings "any day" at the time he resigned. You can read all about it here. The last link provides 6 more links at the bottom of the article.

What I'm reading about O'Malley I'm liking. He does not have the appearance of being democrat and I like that. His knowledge about the constitution and other issues I believe puts him in the middle. It isn't only the Presidency, House and Senate the Democrats lost, they also lost at the state and local levels across the board. I guess a lot of them did "wake up" as suggested many times by those in the know. I think this bodes well for the country moving forward.
