Still sick - and can't volunteer today

This is only my second time volunteering at this elementary school, and I'm calling in at the last minute that I can't volunteer because I'm sick!

I feel I should drag myself in.  But I'm coughing and hacknig and SO painfully congested - MTs, need I go into specifics of my sputum, except to say it's not clear, as it has been all this past week?  So I may even be getting worse....

And then to top it off, my car is 20+ years old...and the oil pressure gauge is haywire - it drops down to zero on idling, and then add oil light comes on - a long story, but suffice it to say, it's getting much worse.

Then, to top that off, my sister, who has been trading a head cold with her son - her whole family walked over to a restaurant last night - and surprise! they all forgot their house keys.

So when I came home last night from work (I mean 8:30 pm or so), my sister was there - I was like, oh my god, don't tell me someone's in the hospital or died - no, she thought I had her house key on my key ring.  So I gave her a ride home (her neighbor drove her), and left her with the key she was sure was her house key from my key ring - you can see where this is going - I got back home, and she called and said no, it didn't work, they were still sitting on their patio.

So while digging through every key in the house looking for her house key, she called finally and said the neighbor and husband had broken into their home - all was well.

Anyway, I feel like my teaching career or public school career or whatever it is, is down the drain now - but I can't go in like this and possibly make a bunch of people sick (kids and adults). 

end of crazy early morning I'm still sick and getting worse rant.
