I know it is the most common complaint doctors hear - and for years I have had the stressed-tired-overworked fatigue - I know how that one feels. But this has been going on a couple of months. I am bone tired even after I sleep a lot. My blood work showed I am hypothyroid so I started on medicine and also some supplements for that. But nothing seems to be helping. I have pain/fatigue across the area of my back right at the braline. My arms and neck feel heavy. I have a tingling sensation that crawls across the right side of my upper back sometimes. It usually lasts a few minutes and then goes away. I can barely function to get my transcription work done. I don't have insurance so the recent blood work I had was all I could afford right now - had a CBC, Chem-7, liver panel and TSH checked. I also recently had, for about a week, a band of numbness and burning pain across my left thigh, about 3 inches wide, almost all the way around my leg. I would like to hear from anyone who is actually hypothyroid, or maybe has MS (because I am wondering about that), or anyone who has any other thoughts on this. It is not depression - I am on an antidepressant and it works fine. I even upped my dose and it dit no help the fatigue at all. We are not talking about just being kinda tired and sleepy - I am talking bone-deep, crushing fatigue. I just want to give up and lay in my bed and cry. Does this sound like it really could be all thyroid related or maybe something like MS? Thanks for any help.
