My son is asking for suggestions for their first dance song. Something modern, romantic. I suggested "Into the Mystic" by the Wallflowers. Any recommendations? Thanks so much!

Her voice is just grating to me. I'd rather it be sung in Italian than her singing in english, but that is just my opinion. Let me see what I can find out.

I actually found a better translation, and a site that said Con te partiro literally means With you I will leave.

Alien Like You by the Pigott Brothers. A little different, so noone else will have it and it's sweet, since he wants something modern. Mine was Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce, but I wasn't really looking for modern and we both love Jim Croce.

My husband and I had Ring of Fire by Social Distortion - but that's not for everyone, lol!

I'm not very familiar with "romantic" songs per se...I would think something by the Cure (Love Song, Just Like Heaven) would be great, though, if he doesn't mind dipping back to the 80s/90s. Those songs are absolute modern romance classics. You can check them out on YouTube. The words are haunting and great to dance to.

You heard about the wedding where the regular organist got sick at the last minute and someone from the audience filled in. She couldn't play without sheet music and the only song they had was Onward Christian Soldiers. I'm sure you can picture the happy couple walking out of the church to the strains of "Onward Christian Soldiers marching as to war."
Recommend they choose a song special to them as a couple, or something with a special message either to their parents or even to their first born child. Have fun with it.

My friend is getting married in June, and I wasn't expecting to get invited and then this weekend she surprised me by saying I was invited....So now i've got no idea what to wear for the wedding. A good friend's granddaughter is getting married. I have been invited to the wedding with no plus 1, just me. I have to drive at least 7 hours to get there. My friend will be sitting at the family table. I will know no one else and will be sitting at a table where I know no one. Question... Does anyone have their rings practically permanently stuck on their finger? My wedding rings have made a dent in my finger (19 years!).
