Some questions about HPV. Any information

I am writing this with the full knowledge of my dear friend who just discovered about a month ago she has HPV. I told her I would ask other MTs who might have a little information about this. First of all, she is telling me she does not fully understand her physician, language barrier there and when asking questions she was told she was exaggerating the issue! She is a person who is very involved in her church yet I doubt she has been able to talk with someone there, very embarrassed about her situation. She does not know where it came from, her boyfriend who has been with her for well over a year is not open to talking about it, he said he had never heard of it and his doctor "looked at him" and apparently not seeing any outward signs said he is fine. I read no tests to detect. I think because of his not talking about it, probably thinks it came from her. She is young, in her early 30s and very, very devastated with this news. I have a couple of questions that I hopefully can get answered for her: She was treated with Imiquimod cream, says it burns tremendously and really did not help her. She has another treatment with that in 2 weeks time. I would suppose that is for treatment of burning off the warts. Does anyone know anything better than that? The second question I have is: Are there support groups available for her to talk with others about this? I truly appreciate any help the group can provide here. ;
