there are cars coming at you from the left and they finally clear but then there are cars coming from the right turning into the parking lot and you can't move until THEY clear but once they do, there are now cars coming from the left again and on and on. This happened to me last night and the jerk behind me actually started honking at me. What the heck was I suppose to do? Drive into traffic so he/she could get home sooner?

It's just frustrating and it's been bothering me. I think I did the right thing by ignoring him (well, I did flip the bird) but I soooo wanted to get out of my car and confront him/her.

I understand you want to go left, but sometimes, it's just best to turn right and go around the block.

I just turn right, even if it's out of my way.

Also, I wouldn't recommend flipping anyone the bird. You don't know what's behind you honking. That's how road rage starts, people getting shot, whatever.

If you do flip it, keep it hidden.

of course, it's rush hour traffic, and I'm too tired to shoot out at just the right moment to make a left...so I turn right, and then double back...either the short way, or the long way, depending.

It's aggravating.

The parking lot is for the grocery store I've been going to for the past 11 years and this is the first time I've ever been stuck trying to get out. Turning right is an excellent idea, one that I will definitely use (even though it seems like I'm telling the jerk behind me that he won). :)

Best thing to do is just take a deep breath.... - and keep your cool.....

and do NOT confront. A lot of people carry guns these days, and confronting could get you shot if someone is in the rage of the moment! And when I am in a situation of not being able to make a left because of traffic, I just make a right and find someplace where I can safely turn around.

One thing that shuts 'em up in a hurry when they honk - is to put the car in REVERSE & start rolling.

Anytime someone pisses me off on the road, I just turn up my radio. I'm not going to waste my energy engaging in back-and-forth honking, finger-flipping, etc. I have enough real problems without worrying about someone who needs a lesson in patience.

It's just stupid to be provoking someone. Get a grip. You're just as immature as the guy/girl who started it. Just because they're a jerk, that means you have to be one back? Is there a pot calling a kettle black here?

I have a friend who, if someone is on her tail, drives slower and keeps staring at the guy in the mirror. I want to tell her to grow up, just move over and let the guy pass and get a speeding ticket.

You all have NO CLUE as to who you might be provoking. They could purposely cause you an accident that might end up looking like your fault, for insurance money. They could take a gun and shoot you. There are states where you are allowed to have a gun in the car. The ones that don't allow it, doesn't mean someone doesn't have one.

I rent a townhouse apartment in a small complex, 6 units total. Each of us are assigned 2 numbered parking spots, with 2 or 3 unnumbered for guests. Just thought I'd let everyone one know that I found a very close parking lot near by (only a block away from the theater). Thank you to to those who gave me google advice. It was $35 for the night.
