Someone throws a word out and people respond back with a phrase that has that word in it. Kind of a waste of time, so I don't "play". Actually playing is not a right word because it's not even a game. There used to be some good conversations, all I see now is post after post after post of one word then people responding back with something with that word in it. I responded once....borrring...., and why? Besides, do you know how many words are in the English language? Ohhhh how I think this is going to go on forever. Oooh, think, maybe I should post that word (think), no better yet how about going, or to, or go, or on, or forever, etc, etc, etc.

If that is what people get their kicks out of I think that's really sad. I've got more things to do. Guess the days are gone of just regular posts anymore. Kind of tough to pick out conversations between the one word posts.

Oops...should have also said in my message - see message

[ In Reply To ..]
Just to make it clear so there is no hissy fits. No way in my message was I saying people were not allowed to post the one word posts and others replied. Of course everyone is free to do what they want. All I was saying that (to me - can't speak for everyone else), it's just boring and a waste of time so I don't post. But it's also difficult to find posts that don't have the silly one word in it because they get lost between the one word posts. But for me there is way too many things going on in my life to spend time replying, but for everyone that enjoys simple word replies have fun.

seriously? it's hard for you to pick out the other posts? - maybe you should stick with the one-worders!

[ In Reply To ..]
Reply - your message doesn't make sense - see message
[ In Reply To ..]
When you have to scroll down through reply after reply after reply after reply, not difficult, just plain ol annoying. Good messages get lost in the one-worders.

And since one-worders are boring, why would I stick with them? Doesn't make sense. But then again my message was more than just a "one worder" so that might be why you didn't understand.
of course it does - cut it out and look for the big blue stars

Your attempt at humor failed. I see my reply of more than one word was too confusing.

I know that..- oh sorry, were you trying to be funny? - Do try to follow along, dear
[ In Reply To ..]
I know that must be hard since my messages were more than one word, but the message is really easy to understand.

yet, you DID spend time replying in spite of yourself - and then you went on and on

[ In Reply To ..]
Yup, did spent the time - how very observant of you - Technically, it was not a reply - see message
[ In Reply To ..]
Well at least now I know more people know how to read more than one word. Technically though it was an addition, not a reply (i.e. "should have also said"). That's how you can tell it's not a reply, so guess I take that back. Guess more than one word at a time is too difficult for some to understand.

There's a raffle drawing in my state, too. Grand prize is 7 million with some million and thousand dollar winners and probably some $100 prizes. I agree, now that would be stimulating. Good luck to us! :)

[ In Reply To ..]
The problem is, discussions get pushed away really fast with this type of word game. I actually don't read or participate much on this board anymore, discussions are gone in a flash. I think everyone should entitled to enjoy themselves, so maybe they need a game forum here on mtstars.

Any legitimate post gets pushed to page 2 - Agree!

Hey, I'm not cutting down those who are having fun. I'm just saying they take away from discussions, so they need their own game forum or something. To each his own, no reason to cut down someone's sense of humor.

It's just boring to a lot of us, and it takes up way too much space on the board. They definitely should be able to play games if they choose; however, in another forum.

[ In Reply To ..]
Because I actually lost an entire thread I was reading lol

It's not that I'm too stupid to find it but it was RIGHT THERE, you know what I mean?

And I love games as much as the next person, like "Three words and three words only" or "Bakers Dozen", I'm a big fan of wasting time and bandwith with thread games. I agree they have their place. But someone find that fudge...
Excellent observation - couldn't have said it better - also, like another poster said....
[ In Reply To ..]
Discussions get pushed down so fast. Not everyone is interested in reading post after post of word associations. Then when someone is asking a question or writing about a situation they are going through, asking about a recipe or whatever it's easy to miss or it's gone before we get a chance to read.

So Tired.Dec 17, 2012
I'm late to the gun debate on the boards, because I needed time to calm down after Friday's tragedy.  I didn't want to come here all emotional and start swiping at people and coming up with totally unrealistic expectations of our country regarding gun control.  But the more I thought about it, the more I realized how completely saturated we are with guns. I'm So Tired Of The Tax Debate!May 14, 2010
Tax the rich more....tax the poor less, etc.  It is my opinion that if you tax the rich more, it won't help that much considering there are so many loopholes in the tax code that I'm sure the rich will find a way to get out of paying more taxes.  Why don't we just do a flat tax.  That will eliminate the loopholes.  Simple and easy...probably why they won't do it though.  They need something confusing so the crooks in the world can get out of paying ta ...
