Brett goes back to Lambeau

Posted: Oct 30, 2009

Favre makes his first appearance back home since he played there.  Who wins?

Will Aaron Rodgers be running for his life all game with Jared Allen chasing him or will he have a record passing day because Antoine Winfield is hurt?

What kind of running day will Adrian Peterson have?

How do you think Packers fans will receive Favre?

I hated it when I heard the Vikes picked up Favre.  He was tainted because he played for the enemy so long.  Now, I've witnessed the Favre magic.  You Packer fans were darned lucky to have him as long as you did.  It took Favre about 3 games to win me over and I'm hoping he stays at least one more year, Super Bowl or not.  He's just fun to watch.

Should be a good game!

He is so much fun to watch, IMHO, more now than when he was - Happy MTer

with the packers. He does not seem to have as much stress or whatever on his shoulders when playing and looks like a kid out there at times, smiling, laughing, etc. I am so glad to see him happy. He took a lot of heat for retiring and then coming back; however, Michael Jordan did the same thing and even changed sports (basketball to baseball) and yet he was welcomed back with open arms, I didn't get it. Oh well, I will be cheering him on and hope that the Vikings win, win, WIN. :) :)

For 16 years I had to despise that man. I watched my Vikings ahead by more than 2 scores with less than 6 minutes to go in the game, and have Favre come back and beat us. He drove me crazy. You can't allow yourself to fall in love with the competition, especially a hated rival.

Now that he's a Viking, I can finally admit how nice it is to have such gorgeous eye candy behind center. The Vikings have a 2 minute offense for the first time in years. He's accurate, competitive and just so darned good. He's magic. Though he will retire a Packer, I'll still go see his induction in Canton. I was going to go anyway, just to make sure he actually did retire, when he was pulling all of that "I'm retiring, no I'm not" stuff. Now I can go and admire a man who has accomplished so much.

It's going to be very emotional for him tomorrow, walking into Lambeau with the other team but Favre plays at his best when he's under pressure.

Go Vikings!

I was skeptical when they signed him. He really does look like a kid out there. I love hearing some of his on field comments. A DT will flatten him and he'll get up and say to the guy "is that the best you can do?"

There was fault on both sides with His departure from GB. I can understand Ted Thompson's side - Favre had been playing the retirement card for 6 years. He finally announced he was done for good and was retired. Thompson took him at his word and made Aaron Rodgers his starter and now all of the sudden Favre wants to come back. As far as Favre, he was being a spoiled rotten brat, keeping his team in limbo for years. As much as I despise GB, I think they handled the situation quite well, traded him not only out of the division, but out of the conference. He couldn't know it would come back to bite him and Favre would be a Viking.

We have Detroit this week. Those supposed "easy" games were usually trap games under Tice and especially Denny Green. I think we're going to cream them. My prediction? MN 42, Detroit 10. :-)

We grew up in Illinois about an hour from Chicago, but my husband has been a Viking fan since he was 9 years old in the Tarkenton era. So for the last 25 years I've been a Viking fan too, first living in Bear country, and then 10 years ago moving to Wisconsin smack dab in the middle of Packer country! Living here, being a Viking fan, and dealing with Packer fans - oh yeah, there were times when you just had to hate the Packers, although Brett always came across as a good guy, even though he broke our Viking hearts many times. Now having him on the Vikings though...it's so great having something to look forward to each week. Besides that he is extremly easy on the eyes, you know with him there's something to be watching for. He's getting it done, and it's such an exciting year. Not sure if I'll wear my purple out and about like I did when they played last time. Wore my purple Viking sweatshirt into school that day, and got more than a few side glances, double takes, and one dirty look from a little second grader in a Packers jersey.

I've been following the Vikes since I was 7, in 1975. Purple has always been my favorite color, they were good, and my dad was a Vikings fan. They had the PPEs, Tark, Foreman, Rashad, and, of course, their best coach ever - H. Bud Grant (real name Harry Peter Grant - poor guy)

You poor dear, a Vkings fan living smack dab in the middle of Slacker territory.

I never allowed myself to see just how good he is because he was tainted. Now that I can root for him, dang. He has so much talent. He's just - magic.

Extreme Fatigue, Tingling In Back, Back Pain Mar 05, 2013
I know it is the most common complaint doctors hear - and for years I have had the stressed-tired-overworked fatigue - I know how that one feels.  But this has been going on a couple of months.  I am bone tired even after I sleep a lot.  My blood work showed I am hypothyroid so I started on medicine and also some supplements for that.  But nothing seems to be helping.  I have pain/fatigue across the area of my back right at the braline.  My arms and neck feel heavy. ...

only to find none at all on the shelves.  "WTF?" I'm thinking.  Maybe I had somehow ended up in the Twilight Zone. At the 6th store I went to, I asked what the deal was with Excedrin.  Where was it? Nobody knew or could give me an answer.  So I come home and type "Excedrin" into Google, and was shocked to learn that it's been recalled! (Along with 2 other, can't-do-without staples, No-Doz and Gas-X). Apparently it was recalled a month ago (something about t ...

Fed Wants Their Money Back?Mar 31, 2011
By LIZ MOYER And DAVID BENOIT  from WSJ online. One of the biggest secrets of the financial crisis was disclosed Thursday when the Federal Reserve released thousands of pages of data showing heavy discount-window borrowing by foreign banks, regional U.S. banks and institutions fighting for survival. It was the first time the Fed has given details about banks that borrowed from the central bank's oldest emergency-lending facility. Thursday's move was forced by lawsuits filed by B ...

Back To School . . . Aug 13, 2010
