when a woman was told to take down her display of the American flag in a hospital because it offened her supervisor from Africa. Now we have teenagers, at least one being half Hispanic himself, who got in trouble for wearing patriotic t-shirts and bandannas because it offended Hispanic students as it was Cinco De Mayo. Then you have an incident where a student gets 3 days suspension for taking down the Mexican flag that was displayed in his school because it was higher than the American flag. Let us not also forget about the students who walked out of their school in protest and hoisted the Mexican flag up the flagpole with the American flag upside down below the Mexican flag.
Does anyone else see a pattern here? I hate to break it to ya'll...but we live in the United States of America. Our country's flag should not be offensive to anyone residing in this country and Americans should not have to apologize for patriotic display of our country's flag.
It is amazing how we go after Americans who disrespect another country's flag and yet we allow others to disrespect our own flag. Makes no sense to me whatsoever.
