Aluminum window problem

Just bought a new car and the rear window or driver side rear door window has 2 scratches in it that are deep and now they are going to replace the window. I hate doing that in a new car and I am wondering if that is a project to get that window out or what because I dont want the door panel torn. This is a 4 door car. I have a mouse, or maybe I should say mice, problem. I've been setting snap traps, caught three and now the traps don't get tripped and the bait is eaten.
