OK, anyone else having a gnat problem?

OMG! The gnats are driving me insane! Anyone else having this problem? I can't figure out where/why/how they're getting in but it's making me crazy! Solutions?? Thanks :)

I've been told that spraying Listerine in the air keeps mosquitos away. Perhaps it works with gnats. Might be worth a try!

Try day old coffee. I don't wash out my coffe pot until the morning and for some strange reason they like old coffee. We had that problem last summer and it worked for us.

It's gotten so that I hate the evening because all these little #&@*% bugs start buzzing around my desk lamp and my laptop monitor. I've taken to keeping a piece of paper over the keyboard because they were going down in between the keys and I really don't need that kind of bug in the system. I thought about putting double sided tape on everything but the idea of working and staring at these stuck little carcasses just wasn't doing it for me. Argh.

Pour a small amount of vinegar in a small dish with a drop of dishwashinging detergent. They love to live and breed in the kitchen drain...I always put my stopper in when not in use.

I have had it with them. Googled how to get rid of and have tried a couple things, though none have worked as yet. So far I have put out a bowl with a couple ounces of apple cider vinegar (supposed to work better than vinegar) with a couple drops of Dawn or other dishwashing liquid it it, supposedly they will flock to it and die that way....not a one in there this morning (think I will just try regular vinegar tonight)....I also have a bowl with red wine it it, this is covered with plastic wrap with holes poked in it so they will go in and not be able to get back out, again nada. They also say to pour bleach down all the drains, also coat entrance of drain with vegetable oil as the gnats cannot reproduce when they get coated in the oil. Obviously remove all egg laying/food sources, put all fruit in the fridge, etc. I found a source of them in our kitchen, had a rotten potato (totally gross) in our hanging veggie basket, threw it out and took the bag outside immediately, and an old lemon too. We don't really have them in the kitchen though, a few in the master bath and worst in the master bedroom where I work -gravitate to the monitor and me mostly at night. Our cat litter box is in the master bathroom too, so that is a source too I am sure, guess we need to clean it more often and dispose of the bag I put it all in promptly instead of letting it sit in there tied up for days sometimes. --they apparently have a life span of 4 months and can lay about 300 eggs in that time-- fun. I wish us all luck in our quest to eradicate them. They were slightly better last night after getting rid of that rotten potato here. Also do not keep your recycling in the house (we do/did, not anymore as of today), especially beer/soda cans, wonderful breeding ground for the suckers.

I recently gave away the last of my momma cat's five kittens and she is now engorged and leaking milk. I have a mouse, or maybe I should say mice, problem. I've been setting snap traps, caught three and now the traps don't get tripped and the bait is eaten. I have poision out under the kitchen appliances. Well, the very next day, DH went to get Blue Buffalo and instead came home with a 5 lb. bag of 4health ($6) and Taste of the Wild ($12) instead (he always listens to sales people). Well, I got through the whole bone graft procedure better than I thought I would thanks to an excellent dentist who made my whole face numb. I didn't feel a thing. It also helped that I thought of people less fortunate than myself who have to endure much worse on a daily basis.
