It is truly frightening at how the CDC has lied and manipulated data re vaccines and autism.

Especially parents with babies who are considering the "triple" vaccine (MMR) - should see this before you make your decision.

I have 3 grandchildren that as of yet are not vaccinated - they are preschoolers - every time they travel, I don't sleep at night for fear that they will pick up something. I am a grandmother - I have 6 friends/acquaintances who had polio - 4 of them limp because one leg is shorter than the other - one of those in a life-long brace for 60 years, two have shrunken arms - one is a man who is 6'3" tall and his right arm is half the size of his left. I also know of 2 who didn't survive polio.

My uncle died of measles, as did many in that era. Measles going around was a death sentence for many - it was Russian Roulette - now we have antibiotics, but for how long? When will the antibiotics no longer help?

When my kids were growing up, I saw their classmates being hospitalized for chicken pox because they would get them in the eyes, ears and mouth and could not eat or drink.

I know men who are sterile today because of mumps that they got when they were in junior high or high school.

These are the things that nobody talks about when they choose not to vaccinate.

If we all did our part we could eliminate these diseases, but when we are finally on the cusp of getting that accomplished, we are backing off because of one scientific researcher who has been debunked.

Get the shots - fight to get them one at a time if it makes you feel better, but don't leave your child and the world in a worse place.

My 5-year-old son has autism. He was diagnosed just after the age of 4. I do not believe at all that those vaccines have caused his autism. He has a lot of the typical autism symptoms, but he also is very verbal, has made eye contact since he was a baby, is extremely social, but he doesn't like socializing with children his own age. He is extremely sound sensitive, has trouble sleeping, stims, toe walks, but in no way do I believe the vaccinations have caused his autism. People are grasping at straws trying to find answers, but I honestly believe it has to do with environmental exposures, such as things that are put in processed foods and I also think it is genetic.

I went to the movies today, a new one that just came out about an overweight teenager from Harlem who was sexually abused by her father and mentally and physically abused by her mother. This movie was rated an R. Several years back it would have not had that lax of a rating. Kids! You start on a vacation and no more than 10 miles and they are asking when are we going to be there? I would like some ideas for my friends, nothing sexy, no bad language. Spinoff of a thread in Politics. Does anyone read Dean Koontz? I *loved* him in the 80s, and even though he's become kind of formulaic, I still have a soft spot for him. I especially love the Odd Thomas series and I'm stoked about the upcoming movie. Real people and some animation. The Disney movie company just keeps churning out wonderful movies. I went to the show because I love bling of any kind, loved the color of Cate Blanchett's hair (really gold) and was totally amazed by the movie and loved it. I consider it more of a chick show, my friend and her daughter went with me and we all loved it. Check it out for a really good show for kids as well as adults. ...

I am so mad that I actually bought this movie because I heard so many people say how scary it it. It was not scary at all...not one iota. The movie is called "Paranormal Activity".
