You Don’t Love Something You Want to ‘Fundamentally Transform’

Posted: Feb 20, 2015

As I don't expect the liberals to watch this video, this is being posted for the listening pleasure of conservatives.

Talk radio host and author of “The Liberty Amendments,” Mark Levin defended Rudy Giuliani’s comments regarding President Obama’s love of America on Thursday’s “Hannity” on the Fox News Channel.

“Rudy’s exactly right, and I would add, and I’ve said this many years on my radio program, when somebody says they want to fundamentally transform America, well, then you must not love America. It’s like saying i’m going to fundamentally transform my wife, or my girlfriend, that means you must not love your wife or your girlfriend. And Obama has shown no indication that he loves the Constitution. He never talks about capitalism. He’s always bringing up the past. He’s always picking at scabs. Even now he’s a patsy for Islamic terrorism. Half of his speeches are about how terrible America is and America shouldn’t react in [a] negative way” he stated.

Later, Levin added “I think Obama is a religious and historical illiterate. I think he really does have contempt for this country. He has contempt for our military. He’s demonstrated that. And Rudy’s exactly right. And you had mentioned this early on, who did he hang out with? He’d hang out with this guy Khalidi who was a mouthpiece for Arafat. He’d hang out with Dohrn and Ayers, who are they? Domestic terrorists…his great mentor was a well-known Soviet, Communist sympathizer in Hawaii. His father, the same thing, and so this is who indoctrinated Obama. He doesn’t think like us. He doesn’t react the way we do. But i do want to do one thing to remind people what we’re really talking about here. Obama as I said is a patsy for Islamic terrorism the way Chamberlain was a patsy for the Third Reich.”

Levin also argued “he’s no defender of Muslims, and Muslims are being slaughtered all over, the Middle East, they’re being slaughtered in Africa along with Christians, along with nonbelievers in a certain sect of Islam. This man is not defending them. It’s those of us who speak out and who are insisting that we take effective military steps to put an end to this. We are the ones speaking out for Muslims and so forth.”

Civil Rights Bill passed and signed it into law. Does that mean he didn't love his country? Of course not! What about passing Medicare? Both were fundamental transformations, both done for the benefit of our citizens.

Good point! And Ronald Reagan had a "Vision for America." - sm

Reagan must have really hated the country. Come to think of it, every presidential candidate in recent memory has talked about changing the country in some way, and I'd venture to say we're going to hear a whole lot of candidates on both sides talking about how they want to change the country in the future. If the Republicans want to paint their party as the party of the past and the "take America back" party, I'm thinking Democrats are just fine with that. It will be refreshing to hear Jeb Bush prattle on and on about taking our country back like Mitt Romney did. It will go a long way to proving that Republicans are the party of the past. Any candidate who wants to prove they are the candidate of the future will naturally have to talk about what they will do to change the country. Mitt Romney's entire campaign was "Obama bad..... take Murika back." How'd that work out?

Rudy : Noun, verb, 9/11. Rudy Giuliani says Obama doesn't love America because he didn't live through 9/11 like Rudy did. Wow, what an ignorant thing to say. If looking back and whining about the old days and being the party of the past is what the Republican candidates are content to do, then I don't like their chances in the future. If one of their candidates talks about changing an aspect of the country or their "Vision for America" like Reagan did, I'll remember to note how they must hate America.

Oh, bull! I want to fundamentally transform my waistline, but I can assure you I love myself. - nm

!

It appears as if there are people who do not know the - definition of fundamental.

Of course there are changes made with every administration and in every facet of life.

In this sense, we are talking about BO's plan to fundamentally transform America.

It appears that no poster thus far grasps that concept.

It appears that conservatives want to talk semantics yet ignore context. - sm

Go figure. Conservatives request a narrow focus and careful consideration of the definition of "fundamental" and BO's plan to "fundamentally transform America" while at the same time are ignoring the context in which the phase was spoken. Pay no attention to the context in which the phrase was spoken; that would obfuscate the fear-and-smear narrative of the Fox Newsies. That would be ignoring the big picture of Obama's speech. Please limit the focus of your mind to those words alone, and only then you'll begin to grasp the narrow concept here that Obama hates this country. LOL.

Obama was talking about transforming the dysfunction and "broken politics in Washington" and making the economy work for all Americans from the secretaries and janitors all the way up to the CEOs. No matter how many ways the righties try to spin that phrase as a personal attack, Obama was talking about the economy.

Who is Levin or Guiliani to say WHO - loves this country?!

Look believe what you want about the president, but when some public figure makes a MORONIC statement ASSUMING they know what is in in another man or women's heart I AM GOING TO CALL THEM ON IT.

And honest people ANYWHERE would be outraged if they were described as NOT loving their country.

How DARE you, Guliani? Such a COWARD to make the comments to a friendly audience and then sneak off and watch the fallout.

Tea Party Republicans Love Love Love Ted CruzOct 18, 2013
even among Republicans, according to a survey from Pew Research. But the group is still potent within the Republican Party — which means that Sen. Ted Cruz gets a bit of good news on an otherwise bleak day. "Tea Party" is a necessarily vague affiliation. There are members of Tea Party groups, of course, but Pew largely had to allow poll respondents to self identify. And a lot of Republicans did so. About four-in-ten (41%) Republicans and Republican leaners agree with the Tea Pa ...

This is what I have tried: Gave her a bath last night with deshedding liquid from Petsmart- got really good reviews but bless her little heart, she was not used to that and shaking like a leaf afterwards. ...

While I'm considered "very attractive" (obviously, that's subjective) for my age, it is getting more and more difficult to find quality men to date.
