Last evening KO asked David Korn why it was that repubs were against anything Obama was for, even if the repubs had previously beenfor it. Korn replied that the repubs were operating under very sophisticated "cootie" tactics - as in anything the president touches has cooties. Chuckled heartedly at that. also heard Sara P has dissed the tea baggers now that she has collected her$100,000 speaking fee.

[ In Reply To ..]David Corn was simply making a comment on pub hypocrisy, a hot topic lately in the media, and with good reason. The reason I am asking you what you are referring to is that there have been so many recent GOP reversals (as opposed to the legendary historical reversals), I cannot figure out which one of them you are trying to defend, such as:
1. Bipartisan commission on deficit reduction bill they sponsored, then voted against.
2. Voting to reject the Recovery Act, then singing its praises to local constituents in an attempt to take credit for its benefits.
3. Compromising HCR to death, claiming not to have input, then voting en bloc against a bill that is rife with their own measures.
4. First being for Obama HCR transparency, then against it when it comes to GOP HCR transparency.
5. Judicial activism: Roe vs Wade-against. SCOTUS decision to allow corporations to bankroll democratic process-for.
6. Misrepresenting HCR Medicare cost sparing measures as cuts in health care to seniors, claiming to be he guardians of Medicare after decades of trying to trash that program.
7. The 111 referred to on this forum.
8. My personal favorite, being a new piece I came across this morning: 80 house republicans taking credit for bills they voted against.
