Senator Murkowski of Alaska says her views are evolving, and she plans on reevaluating her stance on the issue (hooray for her!).

"I think you are seeing a change in attitude, a change in tolerance," she said. "And an acceptance that what marriage should truly be about is a lasting, loving committed relationship with respect to the individual."

As for why Murkowski is considering a change in position, she pointed to her two young sons, who she says give her puzzled looks when she asks them for their views on same-sex marriage.

"(They) kinda give me one of those looks like, 'Gosh mom, why are you even asking that question?'," she said.

I don't think they EVER cared about gay marriage. Karl Rove just realized there was a large voting bloc of "Christian" anti-gay, anti-abortion voters back in the late 90s & went after their votes. Now that the country is changing, they can "pretend" to change, too. They still just want to suck the life out of the middle/lower classes. JUST MY OPINION!! :D

those who were raised that way can afford to continue. Victimizing gay citizens negates any need for tiresome education on the issue, they can pass on the soul searching, for most it doesn't require any personal sacrifice, it helps secure votes from the base, and--most important--it doesn't conflict with the money issues their backers require they toe the line on.
