he made a "silent but powerful" fashion statement. You will find nothing but routine award acceptance speech content, thank-yous, etc. in this uncut, uncensored clip of his part of that event.

You might want to note at the very top line of your sodahead citation a line that is repeated in the slideshow banner. That would be the one in the form of a question, "DID Jamie Foxx say it was okay? blah, blah, blah." Even the link address has the word "question" in it.

There is a common thread running through all these he-said-she-said links, so far, and that is the absence of a direct quote or video clip. Just because RW media released another one of their hit pieces that was picked up and run through scores of other outlets doesn't make it any more credible. Also, my read on the dreaded "public display of outrage" simply translates to 1st amendment protected protest and demonstrations. Even the Sanford Police acknowledges their citizens right to do so, as is indicated by the establishment of "1st amendment zones."

All this race-baiting hoopla pales by comparison for those of us who lived through the civil rights era instead of learning about it in history books and witnessed first-hand what REAL racism is all about.

I don't "foolishly" edit. I edit out insults. Telling someone they are ignorant and then putting on the inside that they are not personally insulting them IS insulting.

I haven't even begun to go through this board. The Zimmerman/Martin case is pushing all the peoples buttons and I'm seeing far too many posts calling others names, to include accusations or racist wildly throughout this board.

I stand by my disrespect for Al Sharpton. In fact, I don't disrespect him, I can't stand him. He is classless and incites people. He's a racist. He will go to any length to get his name out there BEFORE HE HAS ANY FACTS. He's done it before. Otherwise, he'd probably rarely be able to incite people. If there is rioting (which Twitter was full of tweets about rioting) and the New Black Panther Party has threatened to go to "whitey's neighborhood" and burn their homes.

Al Sharpton was asked by the Martin family to help rally support for the arrest of their son's killer. He did that. Nothing more, nothing less. The mere mention of the word "racism" may sould like incitement to violence to wingers, but evidently not this audience.

Fact of the matter is that, REGARDLESS of what you think you heard, there was not a single incident of violence during the entire 45 days it took to bring Zimmerman to his jail cell.

The message that this sends is that nobody will be able to defend themselves anymore. You are right, there is no evidence. He, however, had a broken nose, a gash in his skull and back injuries and they tried to hide that.

All I say is I would never want to be a juror for this. They have to sit there and wonder do we send a man away for something he didn't do just so there won't be riots. Will their lives be threatened (most likely). If they go by the evidence (which is none) and aquit him they'll be having to look over their shoulders the rest of their lives most likely.

This case has been very difficult and very saddening. Simple case of self defense. Yelling get off me was not enough. Getting your head beat into the pavement, broken nose and back injury I do believe saying please was not going to to work.
