What the majority of the people want re tax cuts

Posted: Dec 3, 2010

"here’s what the public said about the Bush tax cuts, according to the exit polls last month: 40 percent said to continue ALL of the cuts, 36 percent said to continue them for families who earn less than $250,000 a year, and an additional 15 percent said to expire them for all. So a majority -- 51 percent -- backed either the Democratic position or wants all the cuts to expire."

Hmmm....interesting. 51% backed the Democratic... - sam

yet those same people voted 63 Democrats out of the house of Reps, which had not happened since 1939; and gained and hold more governorships now than they have since 2006.

Hmmmm....seems like I saw the word "skewed" in one of the pack posts below?

Don't think anymore needs to be said.

To quote you: LOL.

there you go - deflecting again

It shows that big money can buy an election through disinformation campaigns.

Another predictable response. LOL I can know what your posts say before I even read them. I even know what your next response will be. LOL
That is because you might have a conditioned response - like Pavlov's dog

I really think that is the first time I have ever used the word deflected. Sam the Reformer uses it a lot when she gets backed into a corner.
Ummm....you attacked one of your own...? - sam

I did not post the "there you go deflecting again" post.

and what kind of post would that be? Hi, how are ya, let me make fun of you post? Geez. You just reacted to the line and didn't open the post, because if you had, you would have realized a fellow Dem posted it. Key words: "Disinformation campaign."

Hey, its ok. Just open'em and read'em going forward and you won't mess up like this again. They won't throw you out of the pack. Their numbers are dwindling enough as it is.

LOL. Priceless.

Well, I have no idea what you are talking about - but I can see it some kind of game today

Well, If I happen to see or hear you at the poll where I vote, I will leave until you are gone. I couldn't stand to have to hear your continuous ranting while I am waiting to vote.

If you have all the answers, why don't you run for office and fix the country?
Might do that. Couldn't do any worse. At least I know... - sam
[ In Reply To ..]
when the account is empty you stop writing checks. That puts me way ahead of the current administration.

Also, the fact that I can realize when the wool is being pulled over my eyes puts me a few steps ahead as well.

I don't claim to have all the answers. However, I have sense enough to know the current administration doesn't either and I am hoping the new blood voted in may actually have some answers and am willing to give them that chance.

Happy trails.

Note: Below when I say liberal I do not mean all liberals. There are some good liberals who do good things in office (although truthfully probably less than a handful), so when I say the word liberal I am talking about the far left/progressive/communist/socialist, etc. who have ruined this country and are self serving and do not care about the people of this country, only themselves.

The democrat congress has been screwing over the American people for two years. They have not been listening to the people who voted for them the first time. What liberals don't like is that the truth about what is going on in the government has gotten out. The liberals would rather America be dumbed down and not know what is going on. The liberals don't care about the people of the country. They are not doing anything to help the country get out of the hole we are in. They will blame everything on Bush, yet they continue on the same lousy policies they screamed about what was going on under Bush. We are now in a Bush third term, only this is even worse then Bush. What the liberals are upset at is that that America does know what is happening in their government. The country has woken up and we are learning more and watching and knowing what is going on. The liberals will claim that there is this "disinformation campaigns", but one thing I noticed is that the liberals have never come out and said that what they are saying is incorrect. They've never took a specific subject matter and came out and said what Fox news or anyone else is report is wrong. No, they never have. Instead they say "they need to be shut down". Kind of tells you something there. And on top of that, that is what was going on with the Nazi's in Germany when Hitler was in power. Not comparing the two, just saying that was what was happening then. So the liberals claim it's all "disinformation" in hopes that the people they are trying to dumb down will actually believe that line of crap.

Big money...yes, lets talk about big money. Lets talk about wall street (who are profiting while the democrats are in office). Let's talk about Soros, Rockefellers, Rothchilds, etc. Let's talk about the big money who were behind and promoted Obama. We can talk about "big money", who happens to be getting richer while the democrats are in office. Let's talk about "big money" who support MSNBC too (not just Fox who is who you were talking about). Let's talk about big money Soros, who just bought NPR to hire on more liberal reporters to report the news that he wants people to know. Let's talk about "big money" Hollywood who support liberals. We can talk about "big money" all you want. Big money happens to be affiliated in all parties and most politicians (even your precious is big money). Big money is politics. Always has been and always will be. Big money is not just republicans. Don't know very many poor or middle income democrat politicians.

But most liberals cannot comprehends what this past election actually meant. I'll sum it up just a little bit for ya. America has been watching what is going on. American has been learning what the policies and bills that politicians are voting on really means. Americans have not been sitting behind the boob tube watching all the shows made to dumb down the country. They have been researching and learning. They have been listing to both sides and making their own informed decision about what each bill means and how it will affect them. They are tired of listening to the same ol same ol from the liberal politicians telling them "oh don't worry about it, we really care about you, just go back and watch one of those shows we provided for you to keep your mind off what is really happening". No, America got tired of the same ol retoric from the liberals. We started tuning in and following what is going on. And when we contacted our congressman, or showed up to a town hall meeting to talk to the people who we voted for a couple years ago and heard them call us stupid, call us a piece of furniture, and tell us we're stupid and cling to our guns and religion (neither of which I have) we started waking up.

America woke up. Reminds of the line from Dune where Paul Artreidis says "Father, father...The sleeper has awakened".

Yes, America has woken up. We have learned and are getting involved. Something the liberals fear. So people can say all they want the elections meant nothing, that the democrats losing the majority of the house is nothing. That only stupid people voted., etc, etc.

When liberals can't even recognize that what has happened this last election is huge, and I mean really HUGE. When liberals can't say, look we were wrong, and for the better of the country we will step down. Those are just some of the factors that contributed to their loss. They did it to themselves and they have nobody to blame but themselves.

I heard a newly elected congressman say last night (forget who it was right now), but he said politicians are not elected to a position to get reelected. They are elected to do a job. If they can't do the job they should step down (not his exact words but something like that).

As for the election results, I will refer to VP Joe Biden's comment he made once speaking to POB - "It's a big f--g deal".

I, for one, did not not get a vote in this, and - I will assume

there are many more that did not either, but is this surprising to you since that about half of American's actually come out not paying federal income taxes? Of course that half wants everyone else to pay more. Why not take a poll on how the taxpayers feel about the half that do not pay taxes? Man, that would really help our federal deficit. Of course, it would not be fair to make everyone pay taxes, now would it?

Tax hikes for the rich: Can the economy afford them?  By Jeanne Sahadi, senior writerJuly 26, 2010: 3:15 AM ET   NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Would making the rich pay higher taxes next year hurt the economy? Tax Cuts Passed 277-148 And Reid/OmnibusDec 17, 2010
They worked late into the night to pass it. It will cost $858 billion but it gives everyone a "breather" for a while. Reid pulled the Omnibus bill off the table; i.e., just died. Dems Considering Keeping Bush Tax CutsJul 22, 2010
Democrats are considering a plan to delay tax hikes on the wealthy for two years because the economic recovery is slow and they fear getting crushed in November’s election.  It could mean a big reprieve for families earning $250,000 and above annually.  President George W. Bush’s tax cuts will expire at the end of the year unless Congress acts to delay their sunset.  Some Democrats are now arguing forcefully that a delay is a win-win plan that would help the federal ...
