Wanted to share my opinion on Trump

Posted: Apr 23, 2011

I have mixed feelings on Trump.  I like what he is saying in interviews; however, he has totally flip-flopped on many issues.  His bankruptcies also bother me...as they should anyone.  The whole "birther" thing.....here is my opinion...and please no childish name calling...this is my opinion and I'm entitled to it.....if Obama has nothing to hide, why is he spending so much money to keep his long form and college information hidden?  People don't do that unless they have something to hide.  Obama is also NOT the first person to have their natural born citizenship questioned.

Just look up natural born citizen in wikipedia and you can see a list of people whose natural born citizenship was questioned.

One I found of interest was this: "The eligibility of Charles Evans Hughes (1862–1948) was questioned in an article written by Breckinridge Long, and published in the Chicago Legal News during the U.S. presidential election of 1916, in which Hughes was narrowly defeated by Woodrow Wilson. Long claimed that Hughes was ineligible because his father had not yet naturalized at the time of his birth and was still a British citizen. Observing that Hughes, although born in the United States, was also a British subject and therefore "enjoyed a dual nationality and owed a double allegiance", Long argued that a native born citizen was not natural born without a unity of U.S. citizenship and allegiance and stated: "Now if, by any possible construction, a person at the instant of birth, and for any period of time thereafter, owes, or may owe, allegiance to any sovereign but the United States, he is not a 'natural-born' citizen of the United States.""

So I guess the question to ask as well is this....did our president ever have a dual citizenship?  He did reside with his mother and stepfather outside of the US for some time.  If he indeed had a dual citizenship, he is not eligible to be our president either regardless of whether or not he was or wasn't born in the US.

Back to Trump....he is an attention whore and he is charismatic and he is getting some people to listen to him.  However, he never really ends up running in the end and he has flip-flopped on so many issues.....not to mention the bankruptcies......I just don't feel comfortable with him.

I am truly discouraged as I have yet to find any potential candidate I feel comfortable voting for.  Just once I wish I could vote for a politician I truly believe in and not just voting for the lesser of 2 evils.

Trump is there to split the vote a la Ross Perot. This will ensure that Obama is re-relected.

The bankster "elites" who support Obama and got him elected have another 4-year plan to be implemented, as the U.S. hasn't been totally destroyed yet.

Hopefully people have gotten smarter and will - not fall for it again.

I go there and to Politifact to get information. This link gives a rundown on some of the things that bother you. I lived in Libya from 1957-1960 .. my stepfather was stationed in Tripoli and we lived off base. Going by what some of the "Right" say, I would have been "raised" in Libya. It was often awkward for my parents as to what last name to use, so at times I was considered under my stepfather's last name and at times under my natural .. it just depended on circumstance. Why does our President have to release his college records? What does he have to produce what he has already made public? Donald Trump is someone I didn't alway like so much, but have respected in the past. I no longer do .. he's being a shady slimeball, IMHO. I almost believe he's trying to bring his son in the back door and promote him as well. He's in the grooming process. Under Federal Law both items, a Birth Certificate and a Certificate of Live Birth are the same thing. Please pay attention and do research before you vote! (that I say for everyone)

Only going to state my opinion and not - Indy

respond to the attacks that usually follow.

What you say may be true, that the COLB and birth certificate are the same thing by federal law...however, I know that I was unable to get a PA driver's license without the certified copy long form. They WOULD NOT accept the COLB, which I had, so I am doubtful that your statement is strictly true.

That being said...everyone has the long form on file in their state of birth's bureau of vital statistics. That is where the information for the COLB comes from...from the long form completed at the hospital where you were born. My issue with the President is that he refuses to release that long form with parents' signatures, delivering physician's signature, etc. The President promised me (and the rest of the voters in the US) that he would have the most transparent administration in history. Withholding the long form certificate, and in fact spending a lot of money to make sure it was not released, is not transparent, it is anything but. I still believe in honesty in government, and I believe that this President is not honest, when he promised that he would be.

So, therefore, if people do want transparency in government, and it concerns them that this President refuses to release his long form birth certificate, are concerned that he decides which federal laws to defend and which ones not to depending on his own personal opinion of the constitutionality of those laws...

If any of these things concern people I hope that they will pay attention and do research before they vote(that I say for everyone).

Thanks.

elected politician. Keep that in mind. I love it when he says we should bring the jobs back to the US as I'm sure a lot of people do. However, the reality is this will not happen. He can say that, though, no political ramifications whatsoever. I don't think he will run for president, he is just promoting himself and loves the attention. Michele Bachman said on one of the morning shows that the birth certificate that the host showed her (certified birth certificate on record for Obama) should put an end to the "birther" nonsense (in so many words LOL).

Well that once again approves MB does - not know what she is talking about

I like Trump. His bankruptcies don't bother me and no, they should not bother "everyone". Every person is different. If they bother you that's fine. Everyone has different opinions. Him filing bankruptcy is the least of my worries. Filing bankruptcy does not make someone a good or bad leader. Look at all the leaders we have/had who have never filed bankruptcy and they are lousy leaders.

The bc issue I won't even go into. He has a right to do this and hopefully he can get to the truth that has been blocked for so long. We all know what the laws are and I'm not about to make excuses as to why it's okay.

I think it's awful that you called Trump an attention whore. He does not fall in that category because he has always been in the light. Attention whores? No I leave that to Michelle Bachman and Sarah Palin. To me attention whores are people who don't know what they are talking about but have to get their mugs in front of the camera and go on and on about something they know nothing about. Trump does not fall in that category.

I'm going to be following Mr. Trump closely. On the questions he's been asked so far regarding issues the country is facing I like what he has to say. That's not saying I'm going to vote for him because I don't know. Right now there are no good candidates on either side. However, with that said it's no doubt Obama will be in a second term because that is who the rulers decide will be in. If they feel they are getting too much heat they may pull him out and put someone else in. What it all boils down to is we don't have a choice. Besides, anyone who questions issues will be called a racist, so they have a sure way for nobody to ask anything.

I have been asked on many occasions if I could show people how to do what I do because "I know you make a ton of money".  Today, that comment is good for a never ending laugh!  I did want to share my two favorites.  Driving through the local Burger King, the gal that handed me my food asked me what I did for a living.  I love this part- I told her and she said, "oh, how nice".  When I gave her a little more detail, she said she was SURE she could do it.  Her mom wo ...

My stepfather purchased a time share property many years ago.  I think he and my mom used it a total of three times. Share Pea Soup RecipesOct 13, 2014
I'd like to share my pea soup recipe, and would like other ideas as well. I don't measure things, so just use your own judgment, likes/dislikes. Use a very heavy pot like an enamel pot or dutch oven. First, I take some olive oil, heat it, then sautee up some chopped garlic, onions, celery and carrots. I remove them from the pan when they're done, add a little more olive oil, then brown up a ham steak really well. Let the bottom of the pot get brown. (You can cube the ham steak ...

Holidays are coming. Here are some of my favorite, easy-to-make finger foods. No utensils needed by the "eatee," LOL. Probably can even get away with just a cocktail napkin instead of a plate Roll-ups: Get plain or flavored soft tortillas. Spread a little mustard on it, then place a piece of ham (or turkey), lettuce and cheese--I use Swiss or Provolone--and roll up and cut into pinwheels. I put the lettuce in between the cold cuts and the cheese. It makes them less slippery and messy. These a ...
